Yusuko Miachi
[My apologies for the couple art as a reference. I will draw her a new picture in the next few days and replace it.]
Type: Original
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Status: Single
Interest: No one, currently.
Face Claim: Original. My own Art.
Appearance:
Short raven strands adorn this Kunoichi's head, covering her ears, with bangs long and swept over toward the left, mainly concealing this portion of her brow. Eyes of emerald, reflecting the hidden sadness of her younger days, and a longing for a more normal existence, are overshadowed with the hue of deep lavender that matches the designs upon her shirt sleeves, as well as the painted nails a woman would have. The Miachi's body frame is curvy, fitting for a lady her age, carrying the blessing and burden of a decently sized bust. It is not to be compared with the Hokage, however, but it is befitting her frame, and no one could claim that she is lacking in that department, either.
Her height is a solid 165 cm, which is 5'5", making her near the same as some of the Konoha Chuunin, ranking in a bit shorter than most of the males in those once 'rookie' teams. Yusuko weighs in at about 53 kg, 117 pounds. She carries herself very well, holding slightly more than the Chuunin girls of Konohagakure, though Yusuko does have more womanly curves than most of them would at their age.
Her clothing always contains fishnet in some form, mostly as an undershirt to her actual upper garment. Teal in color, her shirt has long sleeves which are separated from the shoulders leaving them bare, save for two tank like straps. A piece of cloth attaches around her neck like a close collar, extra fabric will unroll, proving to be a good way to conceal the features of her mouth, up to her nose. Much like the mask Kakashi would have. Dancing lines decorate the woman's sleeves, flowing in a swaying pattern, much like a river's course, or a downpour of heavy rain. On her lower half, Yusuko wears dully hued midnight blue shorts which travel down the length of her thighs, stopping mid-knee. Bandage strips wrap along her lower calves to her ankle and around the arch of both feet. Ninja sandals are much the same as in most shinobi attire, her's are navy, matching the band circling her neck, tied into a knot below the back of her head. The steel plate holding four straight lines in a row, marking that she is, or was once, part of the Rain village.
Often times, to avoid much conflict, Yusuko will not dress as a shinobi at all. Leaving all traces of this behind, a simple sleeveless zip-up shirt, lavender with silver trim to match the silver clouds that curls over the shirt's pattern. Not to be confused with the clouds of Akatsuki, this design is depicted from her home country, rather than an Organization of murderers and traitors. A white sash is draped loosely around her hips at the top of her pants. Simple pants of dark blue, coming down to a flooding level on her legs. The same color a fabric is donned upon her arms, from wrist to armpit, and she normally wears slightly platformed female geta like sandals. A standard surgical mask hooks around both ears, hiding the scarred tissue lines on either side of her mouth, appearing as though someone attempted to slice her from ear to ear. A great insecurity she has over this, making sure that it is covered when at all possible.
Personality:
Yusuko's personality is much like the water running through a stream. Go with the flow, easy going, and usually not too difficult to handle. She is a woman that does not favor conflicts, but if one should arise, she will take care of it, as best she can. During her younger years, when things were much better for her than they were now, the Miachi was sweet and compassionate, holding her friends and especially her two teammates very closely in her heart.
Having a Missing status as of late, Yusuko must generally shut herself off from people. This is because if she lets her guard down too much, she would be easily manipulated, or betrayed, even by the most sincere sounding individuals. Not allowing anyone into her heart is a sure fire way to remain alive longer, or so she has come to realize. It is not that she is bitter and cold, far from it, though, remaining self aware of your existence and how quickly she could be stricken down by a shinobi in stealth, Yusuko would rather endure the life of solitary burden, than to be slain while she is positive of her own innocence. Actually, in all truth, the former Ame kunoichi is quite lonely, and has a great desire to belong, just as she did when she was younger, and had comrades that cared for her and loved her.
Because of the scarred marks upon her features, Yusuko is very self conscious of her appearance. This is mainly only for her face, and when it is safely concealed, and in a secure position, she is not a bad person to be around at all. The Miachi feels that the scars make her ugly, and that it's a punishment in some shape of form, for being too weak to aid the one she loved the most in the Rain Village. It is something that she must always deal with, and would be very difficult to coax her out of.
During a battle, Yusuko's main goal is to come out alive. She has never had a real interest in killing another person, despite the claims made about her in the Bingo Book. Many of her Jutsu are designed to offer defense and cover for retreat. She wants to be left alone, to live like a normal person, and not subjected to such things that are now inevitable for her current way of life. To be captured, returned to Amegakure, and put to death for what they think she had done to one of her own.
One last solid thing about Yusuko, the woman LOVES to eat. Since she is on the run, almost constantly, hardy meals come few and far between. So when she actually has the opportunity for a good feast, she packs the food in without hesitation. On a day when she's terribly hungry, she might give Chouji a run for his money. That would be interesting to see.
History:
During the better days in the land of the Rain, in a time when some of the warring had settled, and the village was mainly at peace, a blossom of potential new ninja youth sprung up. Amongst these, was one team in particular. Hironobu Shijo was a great hopeful to be a powerful shinobi someday. He was well loved and adored, cheered on by all who knew of him. Modest as he was, he always gave his credit toward the two other members of his Team, Yomiru Jomei, and Miachi Yusuko. Jomei, the more reserved member of the trio, was much like Shijo's brother. They were close, and always watched each others backs. Yusuko, the lone female of the Team, held both of the boy closely within her heart. They were a tightly woven team of shinobi, always there for one another. Life was good for them. As they grew, so did their skill, and eventually they were admitted into the Chuunin exams. Upon their first attempt, Shijo passed with flying colors. The second to become a higher ranking ninja was Jomei. Though last of them, Yusuko was nothing less than proud for the two boys she had bonded with so much.
Once they had all become Chuunin rank, Jomei began to delve into the art of Tracking, how to hunt down shinobi over long distances, and bring them back, dead or alive, so that the village's secrets could not be revealed. This left Shijo and Yusuko to their own devices, causing them to bond even further, much like a young couple. The pair were often assigned to missions together, and took good care of one another. They were quite inseparable.
By this time, the village was beginning to be burdened by a heavy strain. Refugees from other neighboring countries were seeking to hide in their village. Some were not opposed to helping them, though others were. Two sides began to develop. Ones loyal to the village and it's leader, Hanzou, and ones that sought a change, something they thought would make everything better, more at peace. Betrayal and a lack of trust started spreading throughout their home, and things were very tense, indeed.
As Jomei left to seek a traitorous ninja that had fled their land for Iwagakure, Yusuko and Shijo were assigned to the outskirts of their country on boarder patrol. The Rain were terribly cautious about who entered and left their country, wanting to know every detail possible. The trio split, and the Miachi and Hironobu headed for their post. Going down the same path they had walked many times before, this day would hold something for them that they weren't expecting. Spirited and carrying-on as ever, Shijo made his attempts to impress the raven haired kunoichi that he loved. Yusuko had already been swayed by his charms long ago, and quite adored his silly feats to show off. The boy's hand gently reached out for her own, a warm sensation quickly filling her cheeks from this. Ah, young love.
Stopping in their tracks, it was a perfect moment for a confession, however, instead of the usual smile written upon Shijo's face, it was one of dismay. Shot into the sky behind his fair kunoichi, a mass of kunai resembled the rain showers their country was so known for. They were being ambushed. In a desperate attempt, Shijo grabbed Yusuko, spinning around so that his back was their weapon's main target, binding her closely in his arm in order to shield her small body. Having had her guard down, Yusuko was unaware of what was happening until the kunai landed, many of them scattered the ground, though some did not miss their mark on the boy's back. Her eyes widened in sheer terror from this event, but Shijo, as always, was much more concerned with her well being, rather than his own. he would smile, a crimson fluid trailing down his chin from his lips.
" Don't worry, Yusuko-chan.."
Were the only words she remembers Shijo uttering before he was yanked away, a trio of unknown attackers were circled around, their leader, the large bastard that he was, grinned in the most disgusting manner. They all had intent to kill, this was very clear to her. In a fit of panic, Yusuko snatched up a pair of fallen kunai, both of which were thrown, however, the girl was so shaken by the sight of the Hironobu's injuries, that, she was being render quite useless. Two lesser two took hold of Yusuko by the arms, retraining her movements as their third approached. She had no idea what to do. She had relied upon the rest of her team all of this time, the thought never occurred to her that if she was alone, she had to be able to defend herself properly. Jomei had always been there, and Shijo had also, especially him. Now.. there was nothing but herself. Their leader drew forth one final kunai, showing his teeth as he grinned, extending his tongue to like the sharp point of the tip. He wanted to play. She was.. so weak! How could she even be a shinobi at all? Drawing the kunai close to her face, the man idly talked with his comrades, wondering which part of her he should dissect first. They all had different portions of her body in mind, though this man thought that her tongue should be the first thing to go. He hated when women screamed, so that would certainly cut the quality down a bit.
Instantly clenching her mouth closed, the man smirked, having no qualms about taking an indirect route to get her tongue out of her mouth. gripping her chin with his free hand, the sharpened weapon began to piece the soft tissue of her mouth, slowly at first, not wanting the girl to have any less of the pain she was surely feeling. The gap of her mouth was being widened by force, blood spilled from these gashes, one side, than the other, each of the men chuckled about how easy they were told this would be. Once a pair of matching cuts were on the poor girl's face, his next attempt would be to knock her teeth out and gain access to that tongue. However, the grip from each of his grunts would be released, and they would fall back, kunai buried deeply within both of their foreheads. Turning around in a flash to see who had done this, the heavily injured Ame Chuunin was slumped forward, an expression of anger and hatred upon his features. How could they have done such a thing to Yusuko? Being incredibly weak from his bloodloss, Shijo was easily kicked down upon the weapons still stuck in his back. Lighting his foot, the enemy shinobi stomped on the boy's chest, only driving the kunai further into him, sealing his fate.
Finally gathering her mind to act quickly, Yusuko picked up a kunai, and charged for the man, only to jab the metal into his his ribcage. His large hand met with the face he had mutilated already, sending her crashing back, next to the fatally wounded teammate. Buried to the handle, the kunai she had inflicted was one of his own, and he knew if he puled it out from the angle she had shoved it in, he'd bleed too much. It was time for a retreat. Crawling over the short distance to the Hironobu, Yusuko did her best to comfort him, though, the tips of all the kunai that were in his back, were dotting his chest from the other side.. there was not help for Shijo, now. She was so terribly sorry for not being strong enough to help him, or to be aware of the attack the instant he was. However, Shijo was not angry with her, or even though she was weak. A weary smile cracked his lips, and the Miachi began to cry.
" You're too beautiful to be crying, Yusuko-chan.."
His hand could barely reach her face, only an instant before it fell limp, the life being taken from his body. The point after this, Yusuko cannot remember much. She can only figure that she had passed out next to Shijo's body, because she woke up in a bed back in Amegakure, however, the bed was placed within a cell. What.. had happened? Her mouth was bandaged from her injuries, and she was unable to speak. She was questioned for hours, about why she betrayed the loyal side of the village, why she would strike down her own comrade since childhood, and what she was offered for changing sides like she had. Yusuko didn't understand this at first, though it became clear to her that she was being framed for the death of the beloved ninja of their home. there had been no trace of other men on the scene, no other bodies had been found, and the only explanation that any of them could see, by the situation, was that Yusuko had betrayed Shijo, and the rest of them.
In times of impending war, the smaller village of the Rain wished to act quickly. It was decided that Yusuko was to be put to death and displayed as an example to the rebels that dared to infiltrate the other side, and be underhanded by using their own for such things. That night, she was left in her cell, broken and in utter torment. She had had nothing to do with Shijo's death, other than not being strong enough to save him. Shifting metal would catch her attention, that familiar third member of their team standing in the doorway. Jomei had returned, surely he'd know that she didn't do anything! The kunoichi was met with harsh words, his bond with the girl had been broken the second he was told that his 'brother' was dead. Nothing could enter his mind to change it from thinking that she was fully responsible for what had taken place.
He, however, would step aside, noting that she had only a moment to run. He would track her down himself, when she was well, and get his revenge out for Shijo on his own time, in his own way. That he would be the one to deliver her to the afterlife. Unable to verbally apologize, Yusuko could do nothing but flee. She knew the village well, and was able to escape, only to look back once after she had left, seeing the only home she had ever known, and would never be allowed to return there.
It had been about six years since then. Her mouth had healed, but the scars were unable to be reversed. They now mark her face, an ever present reminder that she needs to be strong, and independent, responsible for herself. She wants to be left alone, and treated as a normal individual. The Miachi spends her days, constantly on the move, posing as a simple citizen. She travels with a large wooden cart, filled with anything from ninja weapons, to scrolls, to regular household items. All to sell or trade, to make ends meet. The most of the poor amount of money she receives if from cleaning and polishing weapons, and doing minimal repairs on them. She's not exactly good at it, but she's found that people like to have a shiny blade when they kill someone. it's not the life she dreamed of wanting, but she is making due for herself. Ever cautious and on the offensive, learning not to trust anyone, even if they are kind to her. People betray people. Shinobi betray shinobi, that's how the world works..
Chakra Element: Water
Rank: Nukenin. Chuunin level shinobi the last time she was tested at the age of 17.
Affiliation: Formerly Amegakure. None, currently.
Weapons:
Parasol: Red in color, this seemingly normal Japanese umbrella has a small dagger hidden within the handle and a series of senbon needles fixated along the inner spokes for when it's tossed into the air for a jutsu, the needles release and shower upon the opponent.
|Image| |Image|
Chain: A standard link chain, seven feet in length with a small chakra released seal engraved into each individual link, used to store very small amounts of her chakra. When in possession of her chain, she keeps a steady flow of chakra into it. This makes the chain more durable and allows for heavier blows.
|Image|
Hasami [Scissors]: These long scissors are used in place of a ninja's kunai. They have sharp edges on both sides, and points to drive into the enemy, much like a kunai. For Yusuko's weapon, it has been said that she can even sever the chakra strings of a puppeteer, however, this has never really been confirmed.

Senbon Needles
Shuriken
Ninja Wire
Scroll used for escape.
Fighting Style:
The Ryuurei Ryuu (Flowing Fist - Not an actual style, just her way of battling.) style of fighting promote the greatest amount of force for the least amount of effort given, much like a stream with flowing water, seeming so effortless in it's journey to find the ocean. This form of jutsu often involves her chain more often than not, wrapped up her arms to give each blow more force. A system of Hitotoki Hakkei, (Time release of chakra) in coordination with her chain and fighting style, allows Yusuko to strike from two different directions at once. This is done by dismissing her chain for a period of time (mainly when disconnected from her direct flow of chakra for too long), and the seals breaking upon the chain, causing it to erupt in a series of spikes (nails) that hone onto the nearest opponent.
Known Jutsu:
< E-Rank>
~Replacement Technique [Kawarimi no Jutsu]:: The art of replacing your body with an object such as a log, rock, or statue.
<D-Rank>
~Mist Servant Technique [Kasumi Juusha no Jutsu]:: This Genjutsu is aimed to hold up the enemy, or cause them confusion. The one performing the jutsu lays in hiding, while the number of servants delay and keep the for occupied. As long as the user is not disrupted or found out, the servants will keep a semi material form..
~Body Flicker Technique [Shunshin no Jutsu]:: A seemingly standard and simple technique that many ninja use, the Body Flicker allows the user to disappear and appear instantly, mainly used for surprise attacks. This is often accompanied by some element. Mist, Leaves, etc. In Yusuko's case, when fighting, some form of water is usually nearby, and thus will cycle around the position her body had been, for a second or two after her departure before spilling to the ground.
<C-Rank>
~Water Clone Technique [Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu]:: Similiar to a regular Bunshin, the multiplied bodies are made of water, and are very easily destroyed. They are, however, able to carry out individual attacks, like another type of clone, but burst into a puddle of water when injured.
~Torpedo Needle Technique [Gyorai Shin no Jutsu]:: Utilizing the individual senbon needles at her disposal, Yusuko will toss them into the air, causing them all to land with a tip in the ground. More often than not, the ground is muddy, and honing in her chakra, the needles will burrow underneath the damp soil. When the time arrives, and an enemy is in place, the needles will shoot forth from the soil, striking the enemy in multiple places.
~ Sprinkling Needles Technique [Jouro Senbon no jutsu]:: A technique that is mainly only used by Ame ninja, using a parasol, they throw it up into the air, causing a mass of senbon to rain down upon the foe. When channeling chakra, the needles can be manipulated into following the user's desired path.
~Parasol Rotation Technique [Parasoru Kaiten no jutsu]:: Using an open parasol, the user can spin it rapidly, causing smaller projectiles such as kunai and shuriken to deflect away from them.
~Spike Chain Technique [Kugi Kusari no Jutsu]:: Using the chakra storage in her chain, the steady flow of her own energy keeps the chain at bay. If another person takes hold of the chain, or picks it up once it is left behind, her own chakra depletes, and the resulting reaction causes the links to burst into spikes, to strike through the foe's hand and arm. This is similar to the Hitotoki Hakkei, but more immediate.
~Bloody Rainfall Technique [Ake Hitoame no Jutsu]:: Sending her chakra up into the clouds in small spurts, Yusuko is able to cause a rain shower. The concentrated chakra is then spit down in the form of scattered water droplets, able to pierce an enemy. This is not fatal, and the chakra drops are few and far between. It is often used to distract the opponent, or better figure out their location.
~Water Release: Arising Flood Technique [Suiton: Joushou Oomizu no Jutsu]:: Concentrating her chakra into the ground underneath her feet, Yusuko is able to bring forth the water from the earth, creating a mini flood. Depending on the amount of chakra used, and the location, the water level varies from ankle height all the way to the midsection or shoulders.
~Aquatic Lung Technique [ Suijou Hai no Jutsu]:: A rather dangerous jutsu that allows the user to develop a thin layer of chakra around their lungs, enabling them to breathe in water as if it were air. This is perfect for staying under water for long periods of time, though if the chakra flow is disrupted too quickly, the user is at risk of a speedy drowning.
<B-Rank>
~Water Release: Great Exploding Current Technique [Suiton: Daibakuryuu no Jutsu]:: When on the surface of a body of water, this jutsu will form a whirlpool that will suck down anything near it to the watery depths below.
~Obscuring Rain Technique [Kageraru Ame no Jutsu]:: This is jutsu that uses a thick blanket of rain to conceal your whereabouts. Perfect for allowing the user to hide their scent, presence, or make a near effortless get-away.
<A-Rank>
~Water Release: Liquid Body Technique [ Suiton: Eki Joumi no jutsu]:: Though somewhat similar in appearance to Suigetu's body type, Eki Joumi only allows for parts of the body to become fully water based. When the user does not have a natural gift, as Suigetsu does, it takes a great deal of chakra and concentration.
~Water Release: To Spill Essence Technique [Suiton: Kobosu Yougi no jutsu]:: A highly dangerous jutsu that, when used in coordination with Eki Joumi, Yusuko is able to literally spill the watery portion of her body. If it is spilled down an enemy's throat, for example, she will be able to control the water part of herself from inside of them, and drown them, or possibly cause them to burst. This is the theory, she has never actually tried this on a human being.
<S-Rank>
~Water release: Sudden Downpour Technique [Suiton: Dashinuke Gouu no jutsu]:: This is Yusuko's most powerful technique. A massive amount of her chakra is sent into the clouds, causing a harsh rain to fall. Using every ounce of strength she has, Yusuko is able to control each water droplet individually, honing them all directly upon the target. With such a large amount of water rushing at high speed, this jutsu causing a great deal of damage. It takes a very big toll of Yusuko's body, however, and only used for a very short time, one attack, possibly two. She will be completely drained of her chakra when the attack diminishes, and utterly vulnerable to enemy fire.

Extra Notes:
Yusuko travels the lands using an old wooden cart to keep her pawn junk and possessions in. It is often jam packed with anything from scrolls to rusty weapons, and other useless things no one really wants. These 'goodies' are usually covered by a tarp that is strapped by rope along the cart to avoid things falling off of it.
Yusuko's appearance, the mouth scars and surgical mask, as well as her insecurity of feeling ugly, is loosely based upon the Japanese urban legend of the Kuchisake-onna [ Slit-Mouth Woman ]. Just as Yusuko feels the scars are a punishment for allowing Shijo to die, so did the woman in the myth receive her cuts for being vain and cheating on her husband. The woman is said to walk the streets at night, wearing a surgical mask, something common for the Japanese, who wear them in consideration for others when they are sick. It hides the scars well enough, and generally no one asked the wearer their reason for the accessory. The myth also states that the Kuchisake-onna murders her victims with a pair of scissors, thus the reason why Yusuko uses sharp scissors instead of kunai.
