Kakuzu
Art copyright to Pokefreak on Deviantart
Type: Canon
Age: 91
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Status: Single
Interest: Unknown
Appearance:
Appearing as a monster of a man, Kakuzu stands at an intimidating six feet tall with a gaze that can only be described as “soulless”; black sclera provide a background for green irises, and no pupil can be seen in his glare. A majority of the missing-nin‘s face is almost always covered with a mask and cowl, hiding his mouth, nose, and hair from view. However, when the articles are removed, a grotesque face, full of ropy, black stitching is revealed, framed by shoulder-length black hair that seems to have the quality of string. When exposed, the rest of his flesh is also marred by stitches, and two pairs of tattoos ring his wrists.
Kakuzu wears the traditional Akatsuki cloak and pants, though he prefers a sleeveless black shirt instead of the normal mesh/black shirt combo that seems to be so popular in the organization. Bandages are wrapped around his lower legs, and he wears the traditional nin-sandals as well. As with the other Akatsuki, he wears the hitai-ate of his old village, though it is located in his cowl instead of on its original band. He also paints his fingernails with a very dark green polish, and his ring Hoku [North] resides on his left middle finger.
Personality:
A miserly and greedy individual, Kakuzu’s personality is mostly dominated by his lust for riches. He is a rather cold individual, and works entirely on what will profit him, with no other reason. Even his Akatsuki work takes second priority to his bounty hunting, much to the annoyance of his partner Hidan. He believes that money is the only reliable thing in the world, and refers to himself as the “Treasurer of Akatsuki” for that reason. Kakuzu is on friendly terms with the bounty officer Genji, and more often then not collects the heads of other shinobi to earn cash.
Surprisingly, Kakuzu has a rather volatile temper, and is prone to fits of violent rage. Indeed, he has gone through over half a dozen partners so far, killing each one when they stepped out of line, until he was assigned Hidan. His inability to destroy the man makes the two perfect allies; his indiscriminate style of attacking also works well with Hidan, as it doesn’t matter when the other man is caught in the crossfire.
Despite this, he is a keen analyst, stemming from decades of study and battles. He is much more cautious then his partner, even with his temper, and does not run straight into battle, instead preferring to sit back and judge an opponent’s strength first. He respects opponents that follow similar thinking patterns as well. He also doesn’t seem to mind taking orders, and usually follows Pein’s instructions, even if he is forced to retreat from a large bounty. When enraged, however, he forgets the entire purpose of his organization, and has been known to attempt to kill jinchuriki.
Kakuzu does not get along with his partner at all; the only reason the two are still together is because of his inability to kill the man. He dislikes Hidan’s devotion to religion, finding it to be a complete waste of time. In addition, the other man’s drawn-out battle style and frequent speeches do nothing but annoy the former Taki-nin. The two trade barbs with each other on a regular basis, with Kakuzu’s usually being better timed. Perhaps somewhere in his cold demeanor there is an inkling of concern for his partner, but if that is indeed so, it is well hidden.
History:
Born almost a century ago on August fifteen to the village of Takigakure no Sato, Kakuzu’s early life was rather uneventful. He was trained as a shinobi, making his way through the ranks rather quickly, much to the surprise of his instructors and sensei. Because of his natural talent, he was dispatched by the village leader when he was a jounin and sent on perhaps one of the most difficult missions in history: to kill the Shodai Hokage. He was unsuccessful, unable to withstand the man’s mokuton techniques, and thus retuned as a failure. Instead of understanding, he was greeted with scorn and stigma, then locked away because of his failure.
While he was imprisoned, a violent hatred for the village began to take ahold of Kakuzu’z heart. He managed to escape his capture, and stole away to the elders’ places of rest. After slaying the men and stealing their hearts, he managed to escape with the village’s most powerful kinjutsu: jiongu.
Using the hearts he had acquired, Kakuzu implanted them into his own body, gaining the ability to use several chakra affinities besides his own natural suiton. This, coupled with jiongu’s ability to transplant other organs into his body, allowed him to survive for many decades as a renegade bounty hunter. He was pursued by ANBU, but each time he was able to overcome them with ease with a strength and wit born of years of training. He managed to make a name for himself in the criminal underworld, carving a niche out as an experienced and terrible force to be reckoned with, and eventually was approached by a young man named Pein. The red-haired man told him of a grand plan to acquire all the world’s resources, and Kakuzu joined him willingly, becoming one of the very first members of the criminal syndicate known as “Akatsuki”.
The promise of money was enough to buy Kakuzu’s loyalty to the organization, and he worked through sporadic periods of time, taking on partners and killing them off almost as quickly. Indeed, he began to go through so many individuals that Pein became concerned with the man’s actions. When a young Jashinist named Hidan joined the group, replacing yet another of Kakuzu’s slain partners, he was immediately placed with the ex-Taki-nin in hopes of creating a cohesive team. Despite his best efforts, Kakuzu was unable to destroy this newest partner, and the two forged a grudging partnership, filled with caustic comments and mutual hate.
Chakra Element: Suiton originally, but Kakuzu possess the ability to use all elements, due to hearts he has stolen.
Rank: S-Ranked Missing-nin
Affiliation: Akatsuki;
Weapons: None
Known Jutsu:
~ Wind Style: Pressure Damage [Fuuton: Atsugai] :: After releasing his black Wind elemental from his body, Kakuzu will use the spirit to release a large wind blast. Working in conjunction with his partner Hidan, they can make use of Hidan's immortality to have Hidan get in close to their target and pin them down while the blast hits them both. Hidan will survive the blast but their target will normally not be as lucky.
~ Fire Style: Head Mincing Pain [Katon: Zukokku] :: After releasing the Fire elemental from his body, Kakuzu will command the entity to release a large flaming mass from its mouth. This mass will quickly spread along the ground and race towards its target, burning anything in its path.
~ Earth Style: Earth Spear [Doton: Domu] :: After forming the needed Snake handseal, Kakuzu will harden his body using the Earth Element. This provides greater defense against attack and will also strengthen his arm to increase his striking ability. Like other Doton based jutsu, it is weak against Raiton attacks.
~ Lightning Style: False Darkness [Raiton: Gian] :: After releasing his black Lightning elemental from his body, Kakuzu will use the spirit to release a strong bolt of electricity from its mouth. This strong attack can be defended against by an equally strong attack of the same element such as Raikiri.
~ Unnamed Fuuton + Katon Attack [-] :: Akatsuki member Kakuzu utilizes the elemental affinities of his fallen foes through the removal of their heart. In this attack his Fire elemental combines with his Wind elemental to form an even more devastating attack. The two elementals will combine their bodies and each will emit their own jutsu blast from their mouth. The two attacks then combine in the air to form an even more powerful jutsu. Because the attack also includes Wind, a mere Water attack will not be able to stop the whole blast.
~ Earth Grudge Fear [Jiongu] ::
iongu is a Ninjutsu technique used by Waterfall missing-nin Kakuzu. After being shunned for his failure in an assassination mission, Kakuzu turned his anger against his village leaders, by stealing the village's most prized secret Kinjutsu. Jiongu created dark tendril masses within Kakuzu and allows him to steal the hearts of others, to extend his life and take the original owners elemental chakra affinity.
The hearts of four other slain shinobi are housed within these tendrils, granting him their elemental affinities. Each elemental spirit takes the form of a mask, black tendril mass and heart. Each elemental spirit can be controlled by Kakuzu either when within his body or outside. For outside the mask will burst the stitches on his back and then emerge to fight alongside him. Along with a Wind, Fire, Earth and Lightning elemental, is more than likely Kakuzu's own Water affinity. This grants him access to all five powerful elemental styles. These elementals can be killed if countered by a powerful enough opposing elemental attack which the element is weak against.
Jiongu Thread:
These dark tendrils allowed Kakuzu to to stitch his body together and extend his limbs if needed. He can also extend the tendrils and use them to sew together the body parts of his comrades.
These threads can also compact together to form a spider-like body around Kakuzu, allowing him to fuse the attacks of his masks together in order to increase his attacking power.

Read The Manga / Seen The Anime? Watched the entire Naruto anime, but dropped off at Shippuden. However, I read the manga on a regular basis when new chapters come out.
How'd you find me?! Randomly browsing some other Naruto RP sites.
Rule Code: super strength
Note: I do play Kakuzu on a few other sites, so I used some of the things I had already written up for this template.
Sample RP:
Some shinobi boasted of the thrill of the hunt; it was apparently an intoxicating sensation, adrenaline flooding the brain and body, heightening every sense to nearly superhuman levels. The nuke-nin faintly remember what that felt like, but how many decades had it been since he had experienced such? Physical feeling had long since faded to dull and muted levels, his body ravaged by the unfathomable energy of jiongu. That was years ago though, and youthful exuberance had been replaced by the wizened maturity of old age; though his body retained its vigor and vitality, it was only sustained by a constant flow of organs from hapless hunter-nin and unfortunate bounty hunters. Useful, but the growing scars across his chest were a testament to how often he needed to replace his innards; at least the hearts he had stolen from the elders were still intact. That was one less thing he needed to worry about.
There was a rustle in front of him as the target he had been tracking suddenly broke through the underbrush of the forest, completely oblivious to Kakuzu’s presence. Blackened energy oozed out from his open mouth, shooting forward towards the Kumo-nin in front of him. There was a glint of metal as a kunai flashed out, trying to cut the chakra tentacles , but the effort was in vein. It could almost have been humorous, had Kakuzu possessed a profound sense of mirth, but instead it was merely a small bother. Smaller branches splattered at the site of impact, worming their way up the man’s arm, burrowing into his skin as cries of surprise and pain filled the air. He could vaguely feel the pulse of muscle and blood as it writhed around the appendages, but it was secondary. Nothing was in such disrepair that he needed to replace it at the time; no, the man was only worth his bounty, no more, no less.
He was struggling now, and the tan-skinned shinobi grunted, sending more of the jiongu threads out to entangle the body. There was a sudden dull pain in his shoulder as a mass ripped through the skin, coalescing behind him into a mass of twisted tentacles in the crude shape of a quadruped with wings. A carved, stylized mask graced what could have possibly been its head; for a moment it merely grinned, then suddenly its maw opened and with a loud whoosh of rushing air, a blast of chakra enhanced wind shot out, catching the entangled form full-blast. The jiongu threads retreated back to his body, safely tucked out of the way of the explosion, and he blinked as dust and debris floated through the air. Green and red eyes scanned the hazy surroundings until a form appeared in his vision. With a grunt, he lifted the broken body, looked around for any other persons who might have wanted to interfere, then turned. Genji would have the money waiting when he returned.
