Appearance:

For someone of the age of fifteen, Sakura is a fairly small girl for her age. Standing at 5'3 and weighing approximately 45.4 kilograms, her size is quite deceiving for the type of battle which she chooses to fight at, especially in regards to her impeccable 'physical' strength.

Sakura's face is one that is quite angular, with a sort of oval-shape, and a fairly prominent, large forehead. However, the actual size of her forehead is quite diminished due to the style which she wears her hair. Her bangs grow off to either side of her face, usually split from the rest of her hair by her headband, which is worn on the top of her head rather than on her forehead like so many others. Her bright, sea-green eyes, set on either side of a perfectly angular, unbroken nose, are accented by fairly long, feminine lashes. Her bright pink lips work as a perfect, feminine accent to the rest of her face. The girl's shoulders are fairly proportionate to the rest of her body, but are fairly slender like most women. Her arms possess little muscle, quite a deceiving sight compared to her so-called 'physical' strength. Her fingers are slender like the rest of her body.

Sakura's bodily figure, especially in the torso, is quite lean and slender, but not unhealthily thin. Her chest is rather small for her age, especially compared to many of her other kunoichi acquaintances, notably Yamanaka Ino, but she is still fairly voluptuous nonetheless. An hourglass-shaped torso flows gently into her curved hips and buttock, which eventually flows into her lithe, wiry-muscled legs. Her feet are about a size four or five in women's shoe sizes.

Over the past two years of training with the Fifth Hokage Tsunade, Sakura's style of clothing is rather changed from her younger years. Her clothing resembles a more martial-arts type of style, though still with the china-esque feel to it. She is commonly clad in a zippered, sleeveless top, a sort of reddish-pink colour and a white o-shape on the back. On her legs are usually a pair of tight black shorts, seen slightly underneath an odd sort of skirt. This 'skirt' is split on either side but held slightly together by a buckle, and is also split with a zipper in the front and back. Her weapons holster is worn on her right thigh, with bandaging wrapped around her leg underneath to keep it from chafing through her shorts and eventually chafing her skin. A much larger pack is worn on the back of her hips, and a small sheathed blade is kept above it.

Sakura's feet are clad in a style of shinobi sandals that are much similar to that of Tsunade's heels. Made of a black sort of fabric, they rather resemble a pair of open-toed boots, starting from just below the knee and forming into a slightly heeled boot with the common open-toe style that most shinobi have. On her arms, Sakura is often seen with what seems to be elbow pads, in the same sort of pinkish colour that her 'skirt' is. She also usually wears a pair of black gloves on her hands.

Personality:

``The Inner Half

Sakura possesses a sort of split personality in different situations. Known as her 'Inner Sakura', it is a manifestation of her true emotions in a situation, even though her outward appearance might tell otherwise. Sometimes, however, this 'Inner Sakura' can tend to take over, usually in regards to Naruto and his oddities. This persona also acts as a conscience to her, and is actually helpful at times, as seen when her rival, Ino, tried to use her mind-transfer jutsu

``A Hidden Feeling

Though Sakura may not fully realize it, she has a sort of love for Naruto. Although she is often times rash and hard towards him, often calling him annoying, rash, and other various names, when it really comes down to it, the young rosette truly loves him. However, she does not want to believe she 'loves' Naruto, as she is still fairly attached to the fact that Sasuke turned her down brutally two years ago. As a result, Sakura is somewhat afraid to truly love again, even though she does not fully realize that she truly loves Naruto.

``Don't Really Wanna Mess With Her

As a medical-nin, Sakura also possesses the innate ability which the legendary Sannin and Fifth Hokage Tsunade has been made 'famous' for; impeccable strength. While there is no actual strength component to this, the ability lies completely in chakra control, something which Sakura has mastered to quite a degree even at a young age. This often causes people to purposely try not to get on her nerves; however, even without the innate chakra control, Sakura still has fists of fury... If anyone wants clarification, Naruto is the person to ask.

``Tough Fighter

Due to past events which Sakura has experienced, she has become more of an independent fighter in battle. While most of the time she used to rely on her teammates to cover her, she is much less afraid of actual fighting, ready to get down and dirty if a situation calls for it. In regards to this, however, Sakura's speed is fairly impeccable, as she has been trained by the Hokage herself in attack evasion. This is due to her medical skills and her need to stay alive during battle, as she is the only one that can really hold a team up through major injuries. This makes her quite a wiry sort of fighter, quick in movements and reflexes.

``The Supporter

Being a medical-nin, Sakura is often a supporter during battle. Of course, this also ties into her personality; if one truly needs support, in any way, shape, or form, Sakura is one that can give it fairly well. One thing which cannot be mentioned around the kunoichi, however, is the name of Uchiha Sasuke. Her, as well as her teammate Naruto, are quite downtrodden with the events that occurred with the young Uchiha boy, and even the slight mention of his name is enough to dampen her mood.

``A Driving Force

Sakura is driven very strongly by her need to bring Sasuke back. To her, it is a life goal which needs accomplishing, and she believes that with the help of Naruto, the two will be able to bring the young Uchiha boy back. This force seems to drive her in anything she does, especially missions that could potentially lead her to her former teammate. It seems that her driving force to bring Sasuke back could drive her to limits which she may not have been able to reach previously.

Sakura is the third member of Team Seven, the mid-point between the grades of Naruto and Sasuke. Strictly average in all respects, even to the point of having no signature jutsu, Sakura has shown a lot of development over the series. Beginning as nothing more than an admirer of Sasuke and appearing to take her ninja career less seriously than she should, her experiences eventually hardened her to the point of being an effective kunoichi.

Initially, Sakura had a split personality that usually manifested itself viewable only to the audience and broke the fourth wall, an inverted negative cartoon image of herself with "Inner Sakura" written on her head, which conveyed her true emotions. Sakura's polite and pleasant manners were shown on the outside, where Inner Sakura was what she was really thinking. Sakura has been an emotional point for both Naruto and Sasuke, where Naruto's crush on her has always been ignored due to her own crush on Sasuke forming a typical chain. Sakura also caught the attention of the Genin, Rock Lee, who decided he would protect her life with his own within moments of meeting her.

Another person Sakura has a common relation with is her on-off friend and rival, Ino. As a child, the other girls in her class teased Sakura because of her large forehead. Ino stood up for her and the two became friends, staying that way for a number of years until they both developed fondness for Sasuke. Both girls also grew their hair specifically upon hearing that Sasuke liked girls with long hair.

Sakura's first major mission was to the Wave country, where she escorted the bridge-building expert Tazuna. Sakura was not involved in any major fights, but remained as his bodyguard while the other ninja were occupied. She wept while Sasuke appeared to be dead, breaking the rules on how ninja were not to allow their emotions to control them. It was on this mission that her Jounin sensei, Kakashi, held her back from a training exercise that Naruto and Sasuke participated in. Unknown to Sasuke and Naruto, Kakashi told her that while she had the smallest overall total capacity of chakra, she was the most efficient at creating and using it and didn't need the training.

Kakashi later entered Sakura into the Chuunin Exam. After an encounter with a disguised Orochimaru, it was up to her to ensure the survival of Sasuke, who Orochimaru had branded with his Cursed Seal and Naruto, who had also been afflicted with a seal that disrupted his chakra. With both boys unconscious and being attacked by Orochimaru's sound trio, Kin taunted Sakura about her long hair and how she was useless as a ninja. Kin continued to pull on her hair and Sakura had an immense change of heart.

Freeing herself from the sound kunoichi's grip by slicing her own hair off, she battled back against all three, desperately trying to defend her team and even going as far as refusing to release a bite on Zaku despite him pounding his fist into her head. Help came from Ino and her team, although the trio were only driven back when Sasuke awoke, first inflicting critical wounds to Zaku's arms after he boasted to hurting Sakura. However, the monstrously violent Sasuke caused Sakura to try and hold him back, eventually calming him enough for the released Cursed Seal to recede.

The seal was a constant worry on Sakura's mind, almost making her throw in the towel for Sasuke and halting his progress in the exam. Despite her worry, Sasuke continued through the preliminary rounds and was attended to by Kakashi, who suppressed the seal. Sakura herself then found herself in a tough situation. Her own opponent in the preliminaries was none other than Ino. The two proved to be equal against each other until Ino played a trick, cutting off her own hair and using it to tie Sakura down while she used her Shintenshin (mind-body switch) technique to invade Sakura's mind. While the intention was to make Sakura submit through the transfer, Ino didn't know of Sakura's split personality and while it slept, Inner Sakura became the dominant personality, mentally assaulting Ino and forcing her out. The girls took a final blow at each other, both knocking each other unconscious and resulting in a draw.

Sakura was a spectator in the finals of the exam, watching Sasuke VS Gaara. However, as the combined Sand and Sound invasion commenced, Sakura's efficiency with chakra control allowed her to dispel Kabuto's mass sleeping skill and remain awake. Under orders from Kakashi, she then woke up Naruto and was about to do the same with Shikamaru when she realized he was playing possum to avoid confronting the invaders. The three, accompanied by a small summoned dog, Pakkun, chased after Sasuke and Gaara. It was during this mission that Sakura was mentally crippled by a horrible revelation… she and Pakkun used the same shampoo.

When Gaara was finally tracked down, he began to transform into a terrible mixture of human being and a Tanuki made of sand, chasing Sasuke in turn. When Naruto appeared, Gaara attacked Sakura, who was looking after Sasuke. He pinned her to a tree with a large blanket of sand that would slowly constrict tighter and tighter. Gaara gave Naruto a time limit before the sand crushed her to death. Luckily, Naruto's determination and desire to protect those who he held dear proved to be the deciding factor, freeing Sakura from the death trap.

After the exam, team seven went on a brief mission to the Tea Country where they encountered the renegade defector, Aoi Rokusho. Formerly from the Fire Country, Aoi fled, stealing an important item and pinning the blame on another leaf ninja. Sakura's blooming medical skills saved the team and their charge, the boy who was blamed by Aoi, from Aoi's poison. By now, Sakura's position had been cemented as a supporter rather than direct attacker, or a simple damsel in distress. For a long time, this was Sakura's last real mission.

Sasuke, meanwhile, suffered the last straw and with a heavy loss from his brother and mocking from Aoi, compounded with the last-place loser Naruto now outshining him. Despite Sakura bringing him flowers and tending to him daily, he cast her aside and smacked a plate of sliced apples from her hands, demanding a fight with Naruto on the roof. Sakura watched, looking on as the boys came at each other with techniques intended to cause maximum damage. Throwing herself blindly between them, she was saved at the last moment when Kakashi parried the attacks. Despite the worry, Kakashi comforted her once again. Just in case, Sakura then granted Naruto the "date" he had wanted for a long time, which she used to tell him about Sasuke's Cursed Seal.

Meanwhile, Sasuke himself was preparing to leave Konoha. As he reached the gates, Sakura stopped him, trying to convince him to stay behind by offering to help in his revenge. However, her begging only caused Sasuke to strengthen his resolve. After Sakura cried her heart out to him, he coldly knocked her out and left her aside. She awoke the next morning and quickly raised the alarm, while Tsunade assembled the team to bring Sasuke back. Before they left, Sakura begged Naruto to return with Sasuke. Naruto promised he would, but when Naruto was carried back from the mission, Sakura realized that the only solution was to increase her own power. Sakura went straight to the Hokage and asked to be taken on as an apprentice. Tsunade was impressed with Sakura's determination and accepted her as a student. Over the next two years, Tsunade trained Sakura and passed down her skills.

~ Clone Skill [Bunshin no Jutsu] :: Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. The Bunshin technique creates a copy of the ninja without substance. The copy resembles the ninja in every way. This clone can function as a distraction or as means to confuse one's opponent. As soon the Bunshin gets attacked or comes into contact with an opponent, it will disperse.

~ Transformation Technique [Henge no Jutsu] :: Henge no Jutsu is a ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. Henge allows the ninja to transform themselves into any person or object. This allows the ninja to move with stealth or to trick their opponents.

~ Art of Substitution [Kawarimi no Jutsu] :: Kawarimi no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. When in danger the ninja will quickly substitute themself with another nearby object. This can be a block of wood or even another person. This allows the ninja to quickly flee and hide while the original object takes the brunt of their opponents attack.

~ Release [Kai] :: Kai is a Ninjutsu technique which allows the ninja to avoid the effects of a Genjutsu illusion. After forming the needed handseals, the Genjutsu technique will not affect the ninja. The ninja can also use the technique on another individual who was unable to avoid the attack. After forming the needed hand seals, the ninja touches the one affected to end the affect of the spell.

~ Act of Water Surface Walking [Suimen Hokou no Waza] :: A variation on the Kinobori no Waza (Act of Tree Climbing), the art of water surface walking allows a ninja to walk on water as if it was a solid surface. Focusing an even amount of chakra out of the soles of their feet, they can balance themselves on the very surface of the water.

~ Cherry Blossom Snow Storm Technique [Sakura Fubuki no Jutsu] :: Sakura Fubuki is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by the Leaf ninja Sakura. Sakura with hurl kunai with pouches attached at her target. When they impact the pouches explode, releasing small explosive notes. Due to the large number of kunai thrown, a shower of notes will rain down on her target. She will then throw one final kunai with an active explosive note at her target. It will begin to burn, and by igniting the falling smaller notes it will cause a gigantic explosion.

~ Cherry Blossom Collision [Oukashou] :: Oukashou is a Taijutsu technique used by Haruno Sakura. Using the skills passed down by her teacher Tsunade, Sakura is able to utilize powerful strikes. Sakura will first build up a high amount of chakra to any limb, such as a fist, foot, or elbow, and then release it in an instant.

~ Fine Affliction Extraction [Saikan Chuushutsu no Jutsu] :: Saikan Chuushutsu no Jutsu is a skill used by medical ninja to remove harmful poisons from a patient's body. The ninja will infuse their chakra into liquid, which they will insert into the patient. They will then use the liquid as a medium to draw out the poison from the cells. This mix can then be removed from the body. Depending on the deadliness of the poison, further treatment with an antidote or medicine may be required.

~ Mystical Hand Technique [Shousen no Jutsu] :: Shousen Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by medical ninja. This technique allows the ninja to heal wounds by focusing their own chakra to their hands. If the ninja is highly skilled, they are able to heal more critical injuries. Highly skilled medical-Nins such as Tsunade can use their techniques to perform surgeries that otherwise would not be possible.

Sakura glanced around again, her eyes resting on her injured friend once again. She truly hoped he would be all right, partially for the purpose of giving him a good lecture and perhaps a nice slap across the face to teach him a lesson. Of course, she would make sure she wasn't too violent and drive him away; that was one thing she wanted to avoid at all costs. He was already in a near-death state, and Sakura didn't entirely want to see him in such a situation again. His marred face would already haunt her mind for the next few nights, at least. The guilt of her uselessness would hang like a dark cloud above her head, ready to suffocate her at any moment of vulnerability.

She looked over to see Kakashi with his Chidori ready, only to be stabbed in the arm with a kunai. Luckily, the blur of Aburame that had stabbed him had avoided any vital points, or had just missed them. She looked to see Shino, pledging his allegiance to Orochimaru. She couldn't help but smile. Smart kid. She recognized almost immediately what his game was, and forced back a smile. It was genuinely smart. And he had a point at making it, too. Sakura now had a plan in motion, and she thought she may as well even out the playing field a bit.

Or, at least, that was what she thought the Genin was doing. Shino was known for his odd ideas, and he usually had good intentions. However, though the chances of that being his primary intention were fairly high, Sakura still had to be on her guard. If Shino's intentions were much the opposite of what she thought, she could be in some fairly serious danger, as could the life of the young Aburame. Nonetheless, she was sure that she could hold her own for a short while, at least long enough for Kabuto to perhaps get Naruto somewhere much safer than here.

"Kabuto! It's best we get him out of here as soon as we possibly can. Kakashi-sensei looks as if he could use a hand, and I don't have the medical skill to keep Naruto in a near-stable condition. We should be able to hold off at least long enough for you to get him safely away from here." Sakura tried to avoid sounding like she was ordering the man around, but she couldn't help it; she was distraught, and if it meant sounding as if she was giving orders to a person, then she would go with that route. She was sure that her peril was quite obvious in the expression in both her eyes and her face. If he truly wanted, he could snap at her later over it, but right now the situation seemed much too perilous to start a verbal match.

Without a second word or a wait for a reply, Sakura dashed off towards where the battle was going on, sliding in with a kunai drawn and fists at the ready, just slightly behind her sensei. Though she wouldn't be much use, she would most likely make some sort of a difference, such as keeping the Aburame kid busy if his intentions truly were hostile against them. If not, perhaps she could help him keep up his act. Questions flew from her eyes towards the genin, such as 'why are you doing this' and 'what the hell is wrong with you'. She wasn't entirely sure what they might have conveyed, but the confusion was there. She literally glared at Shino; her eyes were like knives of emerald, waiting to slice their way through the young man's cool demeanor behind the sunglasses. The young Haruno was certainly not one to anger, especially if one had seen the acts of Naruto Uzumaki and pissing the young female off... Bad things certainly would have a tendency to unfold upon you in horrid ways.
