b]Appearance:[/b]
Just like many other shinobi and kunoichi before her, Hinata underwent a major change from her Academy and Genin days to their days as true, self supporting ninja. Little things, like her hair and her clothing, but the way she carries herself changed as well. Instead of curling inward and naturally shying away, Hinata can now stand straight and hold her head high, even if she often finds the things around her more interesting. She still retains the pupil-less lavender eyes related directly to her heritage as a Hyuuga, and the midnight hue of her hair is the same, except she allowed it to grow out to the point it nearly reached the tips of her shoulder blades. Her face had narrowed out a bit as she matured, and she now wears a faint smile more often than she ever did.
Along with her new outlook came a change in how she dressed. Her tan fur-lined coat turned into a hooded jacket made of a pale violet torso with a white hood that falls over her shoulders and loose bell sleeves of the same color, minus the trim around the bottoms that are the same hue as the torso of her jacket. Her pants remain of a similar color as they were in her Genin days, only lengthened slightly until they reach nearly to her mid-calf versus stopping just below her knees.
Sometime in the previous two-and-a-half years she had traded in the standard issue sandals for a strappier style that held a slightly more feminine flare. The only two things that didn’t change were the simple fishnet shirt she wears beneath her jacket and how her Konoha hiate-ate is tied loosely around her neck and peeks up above the collar of her jacket.
Personality:
Although shyness is a major part of Hinata’s overall personality, she’s grown quite a bit in recent years. For most of her life, she couldn’t handle being in conversation for anyone she hadn’t known for a good amount of time without stuttering or avoiding eye contact as much as possible, even with adults and sometimes family members as well. All and all, she wouldn’t appear to have much ability to hurt anyone or anything that was alive. Or possibly inanimate as well.
But now, she’s matured greatly into a promising kunoichi. She can hold her own, and a small trickle of hope and confidence are present on her features at nearly all times. Hinata is still shy to an extent, but, she can now speak to others without any of the previous effects. The only person whom those effects are still present with is a certain blond-haired knuckle head ninja. His presence brings about the blushing, stuttering, twiddling fingers and frequent fainting. But, how else is she going to act around the person who inspired and pushed her beyond all others.
History:
Born the heiress to the Hyuuga clan, a lot was expected of Hinata from very early on in life. She underwent training as all members of the clan did, advancing their abilities as soon as they were able to stand and walk on their own. To be a Hyuuga meant you were noble, quick, and strong. But strength wasn’t something that she hadn’t been originally gifted with. She was a weak child, but she still tried her hardest. Her father wasn’t supportive, and soon seemed to give up, deciding that she wasn’t going to ever be strong enough. Lacking support from the person she regarded to the highest degree, she seemed to stop trying to get better and become who she was expected to be.
Once she was old enough to be enrolled in the Academy, Hinata was still a shy child with slightly unhealthy self-esteem. She rarely answered any questions, kept to herself, and didn’t seem to want to do anything spectacular. From her seat in the corner, she silently rooted for her classmates, wishing them well and never thinking badly of them no matter what. And even as others doubted Naruto, she was there, hoping that he would achieve everything he always said he would. Knowing how he was, Hinata could only hope things went in his favor. Even if anyone else didn’t feel the same. If only once someone would ask about her dreams…
She kept going, however, advancing past the Academy and being placed on a team consisting of herself, Inuzuka Kiba, his dog Akamaru, and Aburame Shino under Yuuhi Kurenai, the one person in her world that outwardly supported her and encouraged her to do her best. Even when she was separated from the rest of the Genin she had graduated with, Naruto still provided a driving force whether he realized it or not, though it wasn’t likely he did.
After being a Genin for only a year, her team enrolled in the Chuunin exams. They managed to make it through the first two rounds, but one the preliminaries hit, that was as far as she would be able to go. Being matched up to fight against her ‘genius’ cousin, Hyuuga Neji, a strong fighter who was much more skilled with the Byakugan, as well as Hyuuga’s fighting style. Even after putting up a good fight, with a lot of help from a boisterous blond shinobi, Neji’s experience and natural abilities proved her defeat.
This was a learning experience, and over the following years, Hinata put her heart and soul into training, developing her own techniques as well and mastering those used by her clan for generations. She gained confidence from simply noticing how she herself had grown, and how those around her grew as well. Being a compassionate person, she easily caught on to the positive emotions put forth by those around her who were proud of their own accomplishments. Now, upon the return of the same man who had inspired her from early on, she is awaiting her chance to prove what she was capable of. To prove she was strong. And to prove who she was.
Chakra Element: presumably Fuuton, but, there is no definite proof
Rank: Chuunin
Affiliation:Konohagakure
Weapons:up to this point, basic gear such as kunai and shuriken, along with exploding notes and such
Known Jutsu:Basic jutsu that is learned by all ninja in the academy such as Kage Bunshin, Henge no Jutsu and other skills
~Gentle Fist [Jyuuken Ryuu]:: A technique utilized by the Hyuuga clan. As their Byakugan can view the body’s tenketsu points, this move is designed for a Hyuuga to shut down and injure such vital points of the body. This is why the technique is called “Gentle Fist.”
~Shugo Hakke Rokujuu Yonshou[Guardian Eight Divination Signs, Sixty-Four Palms of the Hand]:: A technique developed by Hinata based after Hyuuga Neji’s Hakkeshou Kaiten. Although Hinata is not able to fully emit Chakra from her body to create a 360 degree defense, she is able to move swiftly and with chakra threads she creates from her body, a near invincible method of defense is formed. This technique nowadays has less of an effect on Hinata unlike when it was first developed, but it will drain her strength if used often.

The sun was bright, the sky a perfect cerulean. Spring, a time of rebirth and happiness, the sign of new beginnings. Unfortunately, none of this had an effect on the heiress’s mood. With all the things she had done, all the work she put in, her father’s gaze still held a faint tinge of disappointment whenever he looked to her. She could never understand it.
Her eyes moved slowly across the view from her bedroom window, taking in the nearby trees that she’d seen time and time again since childhood, watching them grow just as she had. She saw the buds grown and unfurl into beautiful green leaves that covered the rustic skeleton in a beautiful coat of rustles. She watched even as the leaves changed and fell, creating scattered collages on the ground before being covered in a blanket of white. She’d watched the change go for nearly 16 years, and it never seemed any different.
Maybe she and that tree weren’t as alike as she had thought. Even as its appearance changed, it was still the same tree beneath it all. But Hinata, she changed on both the inside and the outside. Looking back on her early life, she saw herself grow from a young girl who couldn’t take much of anything into someone who could be herself without being afraid that they wouldn’t like her. A gentle hum escaped her throat as her thoughts wandered, her chin perched in a cradle formed by her hands. Even as Hinata stood with her elbows perched on the windowsill, one could see she wasn’t really focusing on anything that could be seen by anyone else, even someone with a perfect Byakugan.
