Itachi has the appearance of the average young adult, though he isn't very tall or muscular. He has long black hair with a ponytail and gray eyes, however most of the time they are red due to his near constantly activated Sharingan. When first introduced, he wears the Akatsuki uniform which is a black robe with red clouds on it over his regular combat clothing. Additionally, he wears his ninja forehead protector, although it has a gash going through the Konoha symbol to indicate his defection from Konoha. Back when he was still a member of ANBU, he wore the traditional ANBU combat uniform, only without the mask. Itachi is has a combination of skinny and muscle, He is notably shorter then most of the older characters, and is rather twig-like with not to many muscles, which make him depend on his speed and agility to get out of a mess, but if needed he can fight, he’s one of the best Shinobi’s to ever come out of the leaf village, for this some see him as an arrogant and childish brat. While looking at Itachi you would judge him for being a skinny young kid while his actual skills may shock you.
Itachi stands at 6’0 and weights 150bs, he isn’t very tall or heavy, he has raven black hair and greyish eyes, they were black originally but misuse of the mangekyou sharingan has weakened his eye sight, so the color of his eyes as notably changed, Itachi is pale most of it comes from hiding in the akatsuki cloak and covering his face all the time but Itachi also dislikes the sun, he is a very gloomy person and is never seen smiling, but his skin tone is usually normal due to him having a darker one from birth he is always either frowning or emotionless leaving him to be strangely judge but others, Itachi’s long raven hair is tied to a ponytail which is usually covered by his akatsuki uniform, Itachi's most distinguishing characteristic were his long pronounced nose ridges under his eyes. Itachi is also very similar to Sasuke because of them being brothers. Itachi also has a ring on his index finger that says "scarlet"
Personality:
Itachi generally appears aloof, unruffled and genuinely unconcerned with a crumbling reality. His insecurities are not as well hidden or maintained as some however. Hard-headed as well as a bit depressing his outer appearance can be described as a lost, sullen child on the verge of self-destruction. His only refuge is his work as well as the few, happy fragment memories of the past. He is an enduring man but at times beats himself up about events he could not alter and ends up discouraging himself more often then not. Itachi can be very distant, even as he tries to keep himself detached someone or something manages to infiltrate his defences and try to mend his broken heart. Conveyed as the reluctant hero he doesn't try to help anyone unless his friends or comrades urge him to act. Against his will he finds himself enjoying what he has even when it appears he wants nothing to do with life in general. Preferably he'd rather be the outcast but fates not so kind. He can be devoted and his sensitivity streams from the sheer fear of losing what he has. He hates himself for the lives that have fallen for him, his parents, Sasuke and others he sometimes wishes that he had died and they could have lived.
Despite the dark feelings he may have, Itachi remains steadfastly loyal and true to those he cares about and is always driven to protect them, even going as far as to hide his pain and emotions so he could not worry them. Ultimately, it is with his selfless and kind nature that gives him the ability to overcome his pain and continue with his mission. His compassion is explored further when he tells Danzo that if anything happens to Sasuke he will kill him. Itachi’s personality could be summed up as revolving around his family and his pride; there is more to him than that however. He does not have a joking side, you would faster see him die then tell a joke. He is more thoughtful of his words, preferring to speak in what is sometimes a cryptic fashion, relating how he feels more through actions. Often he will try to explain something to you using stories from his past, or a metaphorical instance. He does, however, place his family and pride before all else, along with that are his friends, who are like family to him. Everything he does must be an action with which he can keep his pride, never sacrificing his brother’s safety
Itachi is not quick to show his emotions to anyone, seeming as if he is in an ever present air of calmness, thoughtfulness. Though he may be angry with someone, he is not the type of man to outright say he is, or complain and yell at you. The death of his friends has changed him drastically and made him less social and more isolated.
History:
The young Uchiha Itachi was a skilled prodigy of Leaf Village. He graduated the Ninja Academy at age 7 and passed the Chuunin Exam at age 10. By age 13 Itachi had become a captain in the special ANBU squad. During his youth Itachi looked out for his younger brother Sasuke and encouraged him to train and grow. Sasuke looked up to Itachi and saw his brother grow distant over time. During this time Itachi had come under the tutelage of Uchiha Madara, a legendary Uchiha clan member. Madara and his brother were the first to attain the Mangekyou Sharingan. Itachi learned that to obtain Mangekyou, clan members would kill their best friends. Because Mangekyou usage leads to blindness, to avoid the side effect the Mangekyou user could kill their sibling and take their Mangekyou eyes to obtain "Eternal" Mangekyou. This version of the Mangekyou would never lead to blindness. With this in mind, Itachi's view of his clan and their power began to change.
Itachi began to express that his clan was not using their gifts to their fullest capacity. To test his potential he secretly killed his best friend Shisui, which granted him the Mangekyou. Detectives from the Uchiha Police Corps questioned Itachi about Shisui's death but Itachi pleaded innocent; however he did let the detectives and his father know of his distaste for the clan's methods. A short time later Itachi and Madara moved to kill the rest of the clan. How much of the plan was Madara's idea or Itachi's own is unclear. One night Madara and Itachi began to take out the Uchiha. While Itachi himself stood over the body of his slain parents, Sasuke arrived to see the horrible scene. Itachi let Sasuke know that he could also gain the Mangekyou. Itachi hoped the massacre would drive Sasuke to his absolute limits and obtain Mangekyou as well. Sasuke would thus be Itachi's spare, a vessel to eventually provide him with "Eternal" Mangekyou. Itachi then directed Sasuke to a secret scroll which explained the final power of the Sharingan.
After wiping out his clan, Itachi fled Leaf and joined the Akatsuki Organization. Itachi was directed to help recruit a new potential member, Deidara. Together with Hoshigaki Kisame and Sasori, the trio tracked down Deidara and asked him to join the group. Deidara said he wanted nothing to do with them, so Itachi stated that if he defeated Deidara in battle, he would have to join. Deidara launched explosive animals to attack but quickly learned that he had made no such moves. The power of Itachi's Sharingan Genjutsu had overwhelmed Deidara so he relented. Deidara would carry his hatred for the Uchiha's Sharingan forever afterwards. Some time later, Orochimaru approached Itachi in the hopes of taking over his body for his own. Itachi's Sharingan proved too much for Orochimaru as well, binding him in place. Itachi then cut off Orochimaru's arm, causing the Leaf Sannin to flee and leave the group.
Several years later, Itachi finally returned to Konoha with his partner Kisame. Akatsuki sought to obtain the Kyuubi demon from inside Naruto for their own ends. The two men began to do battle with Hidden Leaf ninja, including Sharingan wielder Hatake Kakashi. Seeking to prove his was the more skilled user, Itachi used his Tsukuyomi attack on Kakashi. Tsukuyomi, one of the three Mangekyou attacks, was the most powerful Genjutsu of the Mangekyou. This ability placed the victim in a world of the Mangekyou User's own choosing and control. The victim could be put through any hell for several days, while only seconds pass in reality. When more reinforcements began to arrive, Itachi and Kisame fled. A short time afterwards Sasuke learned that Itachi had returned to the village in search of Naruto. Seeing his chance for revenge finally come, Sasuke quickly ran to track down Naruto.
Itachi and Kisame themselves had already found their target. While Naruto and Jiraiya had stopped to rest at a hotel, Itachi surprised and confronted Naruto. Before they could subdue Naruto, Sasuke arrived. Charging his Chidori, Sasuke bolted towards his brother. Itachi easily swatted the attack aside and kicked his brother into a nearby wall. Pinning Sasuke to the wall, he asked why his brother was still so weak. Wanting to further goad him into gaining more hatred, Itachi forced Sasuke to relive the moment of his parents murder over and over again with Tsukuyomi. Jiraiya arrived and Itachi let his partner know that if the three did battle, they would sure all die in the process. And since the need to capture Naruto was not immediate, the two then fled yet again. Jiraiya attempted to stop the duo, but Itachi used Amaterasu, another Mangekyou attack. This powerful black fire acted as the strongest of Mangekyou's physical attacks. Over the next few years the duo would continue to help Akatsuki accomplish their goals

Known Jutsu:
~ Sharingan [Sharingan] :: a Kekkei Genkai, which appears in some members of the Uchiha clan of Konohagakure. Some think that it was derived from the Byakugan many years ago. It allows the user to comprehend the attack of an opponent almost before the attacker knows what attack they are making. The Sharingan also allows the user to see the flow of chakra within a person, but to a lesser extent than the Byakugan.
~ Mangekyou Sharingan [Mangekyou Sharingan] :: heightened form of Sharingan. The Mangekyo Sharingan is distinguished from a normal Sharingan through its appearance, which changes the form of the tomoe seal. Unlike in the case of the Sharingan, the appearance of the Mangekyo Sharingan differs from user to user; Kakashi Hatake's and Itachi Uchiha's both resemble pinwheels, Madara Uchiha's and his brother, Izuna's look more like a detailed form of the basic three-tomoe Sharingan, and Sasuke Uchiha's looks like a star.
~ Black Flames [Amaterasu] :: Amaterasu is an Eye Technique of the Mangekyo Sharingan. It is one of the most powerful ninjutsu in existence, opposite of Tsukuyomi, a genjutsu of similar power. Not surprisingly, it appears to use a large amount of chakra. Though stated in the data book to burn everything reflected on its retinaAmaterasu burns everything within Itachi's wide field of vision to cinders with an unholy black flame, to the degree of being able to burn an entire forest or village with it. Where ever the user focuses his eye on a object, the flames will appear at the exact spot without moving making it unavoidable as long as the user keeps his vision on the target.
~ Clone Great Explosion [Bunshin Daibakuha] :: This jutsu works in combination with the Shadow Clone Technique to create a shadow clone that will explode on command. The blast created is considerable, and could potentially kill an attacker engaged in hand-to-hand combat.
~ Crow Clone Technique [Karasu Bunshin no Jutsu] :: This jutsu appears to be similar to the Water Clone Technique, with the exception that after the clone has been destroyed the body will disperse into a flock of crows, which can continue to speak and maintain a physical form. The capabilities of the crow form is unknown. However, Itachi was able to cast his Sharingan Genjutsu while in clone form, so it is likely no more limited than other such clone techniques.
~ Demonic Illusion: Burning Paper Body :: This genjutsu requires the Sharingan and eye contact to be activated. The illusion traps the victim in a dark empty space where their body is made of paper that burns from toe to head while the user is watching. The purpose of this jutsu is to use the target's vision of their new form to reduce his/her dexterity, making it harder for the victim to battle or perform hand seals.
~ Genjutsu Reflection [Magen: Kyō Tenchi-ten] :: Using the Sharingan's jutsu-copying abilities, the user can turn any genjutsu back onto its original user.
~ Ephemeral [Utakata] :: Unlike other genjutsu, Itachi does not need to make eye contact with the target to use this technique, instead activating it by simply pointing at them. Crows flock from Itachi and turn into shuriken that bombard the opponent. They then experience the sensation of their body parts turning into their closest friends.
~ Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique [Katon: Ryūka no Jutsu] :: The user breathes fire along a cord or any other type of long object
~ Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique [Katon: Gōkakyu no Jutsu] :: After performing the necessary hand seals, a ninja inhales air via their mouth and, utilizing a large amount of fire chakra, spews a large fireball from their mouth, incinerating everything in range. The fireball ignites externallyUchiha clan uses the technique as a "coming of age" technique. This technique apparently requires more than average chakra reserves and most Genin should not be able to do this technique.
~ Fire Release: Phoenix Immortal Fire Technique [Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu] :: This jutsu sends multiple balls of fire at a target. It is also possible to hide shuriken within the fireballs, creating an unexpected secondary surprise attack. For the most part, however, this jutsu is used as a distraction.
~ Scattering One Thousand Crows Technique [Sanzengarasu no Jutsu] :: The user summon a murder of crows, these crows will fly around the target, causing confusion with their dark forms and quick movement. A comrade can move within the flock wearing dark clothes and wielding a dark weapon almost undetected. With the target distracted by the crows, the ninja can strike more easily. Also the mass of crows can obscure any retreating ninja. When no longer needed, the murder of crows will simply puff away in smoke.
~ Shadow Clone Technique [Kage Bunshin no Jutsu] :: Similar to the Clone Technique, this jutsu creates clones of the user. Unlike the Clone Technique, these clones are actual copies, not illusions. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. They can also disperse on their own. Unlike other clones, they can't be detected by the Byakugan because the clones have the exact same amount of chakra and aren't made from any other substance, making them indistinguishable from the actual person.
~ Susanoo [Susanoo] :: Susanoo is a technique that creates a spiritual being resembling a yamabushi wielding the sacred Yata no Kagamia mirror that's considered one of the three sacred treasures capable of reflecting all attacks, as a shield in its left hand, and in its right, the legendary Totsuka no TsurugiThe Totsuka no Tsurugi, commonly sheathed in a sake jar held by a third hand growing from Susanoo's right forearm, is an ethereal weapon with an enchanted blade capable of sealing anything it pierces in an eternal dream-like illusion
~ Transcription Seal: Amaterasu:: This is a technique that seals the technique Amaterasu within another person. After being sealed within the person it is involuntarily activated when certain conditions are met.
~ Tsukuyomi [Tsukuyomi] :: Tsukuyomi is one of the most powerful Genjutsu in existence. It is unique to the Uchiha clan and only those with the Mangekyo Sharingan can perform it. When executed, the jutsu traps the target in an illusionary world that is completely controlled by the user. While it only takes a few seconds to complete in the real world, the user can make it seem as if days have passed for the target. Depending on the user's whim, they can either torture their target for days on end, or make them relive a traumatic event over and over. When the jutsu ends the resultant psychological trauma will render the target unable to fight for a while, and possibly suffer a complete mental breakdown
~ Water clone technique [Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu] :: The Water Clone Technique is similar to the Shadow Clone Technique except it creates clones out of water. Like the other solid clone techniques, the clones can be used to preform tasks the user is unable or unwilling to do for themselves. The range of the clone is limited however, it can not travel very far from the original body. Like other clone techniques, if the water clones are injured enough they will revert back to normal water.
~ Water Style: Water Fang Bullet [Suiton: Suigadan] :: This jutsu creates a circle of crushing water spikes around the opponent. It is very difficult to evade, however it will also require a sufficient water source nearby the target, preferably right below it.
~ Fire Release: Mist Covering Technique [Katon: Kasumi Endu no Jutsu] :: After performing the necessary hand seals, the user is able to create and blow a flammable gas from their lungs. Once it comes in contact with fire or sparks, the gas ignites into a large fireball.
~ Mangekyo Shark Sword :: Itachi uses his Mangekyo Sharingan on the opponent to trap them inside the Tsukuyomi, then comes walking up behind the opponent and stabs them in the back. Left open to attack, Kisame comes up from the water below to finish the foe with a slash from his Samehada.
~ Water Prison Technique [Suirō no Jutsu] :: This jutsu is used to trap a victim inside a virtually inescapable sphere of water. The only downside to this technique is that the user must keep at least one arm inside the sphere at all times in order for the victim to remain imprisoned. Clones can be used in place of the actual person, provided that the clone is the one that performed the technique. This jutsu can't be performed without a sufficiently large body of water to supply the water for it.

Itachi was dressed in his usual akatsuki uniform, with the straw hat on his head and covering his face he believed that they wouldn’t be recognized so soon, as he and his partner Hoshigaki Kisame entered the territory of the leaf village, both of them kept quiet, the morning mist was settling in around them covering almost everything in a grayish shade, Kisame was also dressed in the akatsuki uniform and had the straw hat on his head covering his face as well. Itachi hadn’t been here for a long time but he remembered where the traps were set and were the chakra alarms were placed, while walking he also examined the area with his sharingan hoping to stop something he had forgotten or something new that was added to the defense, it felt good being home but Itachi still despaired about what had happened with his family, he placed his duty and love for the village above all other and this is how he ended up.
Although being home was something Itachi desired for so long he feared that his “partner” would hurt someone from his village especially people who were defenseless. Itachi also desired to see his younger brother but at the same time he had hoped not to for the single reason- he didn’t want to hurt him, he didn’t want to make him bleed or to brake his bones, he needed to do his job even if it meant hurting Sasuke, that was the reason he wished that Sasuke would stay away and wouldn’t get himself hurt. As the duo came close to the check point where they’re passports were going to get checked to see if they might be dangerous of course neither Itachi nor Kisame had passports nor were they willing to show them if they had, Itachi had planned this out, he would use his sharingan as much as he can to knock people out your put them in a genjutsu as long as they would show to danger Kisame wouldn’t have to attack them and kill them.
Itachi placed his hands into his pockets that were under his akatsuki attire, these clothes were quite big for the young shinobi so he had enough room to conceal his hand signs and hide kunai also rest his hands without anyone noticing, as they finally reached the check point Kisame went ahead of him a little and passed the Shinobi, the guard immediately responded to this and shouted out loud for them to wait, Itachi raised his head a little as he noticed a aggressive movement in Kisames feet, and immediately casted a genjutsu on the guard for him to fall down to the ground, Kisame walked on further and Itachi sighed quietly with relief hoping Kisame didn’t hear him he continued to walk with him forward into the leaf village, Itachi looked forward to seeing how the village had faired after he fled, he heard rumors that Sarutobi had died while fighting Orochimaru, a pity Itachi though he was stronger then to fall at Orochimaru’s hands.
Danzo probably was still holding his slimy hands over the anbu and Sasuke… was still mourning that night when Itachi followed the orders of the third hokage and sacrificed everything to save his village, even if he told Sasuke now he wouldn’t believe him he wouldn’t understand what Itachi saw when he was a child he wouldn’t believe that a person who killed his family had a reason to do so, Itachi felt bad for the things he’s done, but he will continue to serve his village till it needs him and after that he will devote his full attention to making Sasuke strong enough to continue his legacy. Itachi knew that the fox holder was a child named Naruto Uzumaki, he didn’t know where to find him or how hard it would be to take him, Itachi only knew one thing- he is not going to allow Kisame to lay even a finger on the boy, even if it meant fighting his partner.
As they finally reached a small hill over looking the ruins of Konoha Itachi heard Kisame’s question “How does it feel to be back?” truthfully he was happy, so happy he could smile and laugh and cry with joy, but he didn’t show any emotion or thought to it, he quickly and calmly responded “I don’t care…” Itachi and his partner continued down the hill towards Konoha.
