Gaara is a red head who appears very evil and emo at the same time. Being the son of the fourth Kazekage he slightly resembles him. On Gaara's forehead he had the word "Love". He also has black rings around his eyes which like naruto's whiskers show his connection tothe Shukaku. He also has a brownish-red colored hair.
Gaara stands at about five feet and five and a half inches and he weighs one hundred and twelve pounds. He carries a calabash gourd also made out of sand on his back, tied to him with a thin red sash. Gaara wears a dark brown reddish robe, and under he wears chainmail like his sister and long black pants. He has a grey double belt and a grey vest similar to the ANBU vests only with one shoulder strap. He has pale skin similar to that of Sasuke and black shinobi shoes with his shuriken holster on his right leg, like most shinobi. When he is in his Kazekage uniform he wears a white and blue robe similar to the one the sandaime hokage, Saruto Hiruzen wore. He has a long hat with the symbol of wind on it showing that he is the wind shadow,
Personality:
Gaara as a child was treated horrbly no matter how much he tried to be friends with everyone he was just treated like a monster and everyone stayed away from him. He used to be a very innocent kid who had been feared by his whole family and the entire village. Soon his whole life and personality changed when the most cruel thing happened to him. The only person he thought had loved him, his uncle Yashamaru, had revealed that he really hated Gaara and tried to kill him under the command of his own father. This caused Gaara to be cold hearted and hate everyone but himself and his "mother", who is actually the Shukaku talking to him inside his head.
Gaara's hate for everyone only made people fear him more, and he became worse when his father had even more assasin's to kill Gaara over the years. Gaara has no respect for his older brother Kankuro but seems to havea bit of a soft spot for his older sister Temar. This was revealed during the second part of the chuunin exams when she asked him not to kill one of the rainvillage ninja after he had ignored Kankuro's order. Gaara never flinched over killng anyone which was caused by him killing the person who pretended to Love Gaara and with his "mother" talking him down. But that would soon change after his fateful battle against the one person who understood him the most, Naruto Uzumaki.
After his fight with Naruto, Gaara had figured out that your even stronger when fighting for your friends and having their support, which he believed was te cause of Naruto defeating him. He then decided to be like Naruto and began to make the attempt of being nicer, starting with his apologizing to his siblings for always having been so cruel to them. Gaara then made the decision to become the Kazekage of the Sand village, replacing his deceased father. With the help of his siblings and hi own will Gaara became loved and respected by the village instead of feared and hated. And so Gaara chose to rely on his own power instead of that of the Shukaku's, but he still uses the power it grants him to manipulate sand and for the sand to automatically protect him,
History:
Gaara, also known as "Gaara of the Desert", is the fifth and current Kazekage of Hidden Sand Village in the Wind Country. He is younger brother to Temari and Kankurou, the son of the Fourth Kazekage, a student of Baki and former host to the one-tailed demon tanuki known as Shukaku. Before Gaara’s birth, a policy change by the feudal lord of the Wind country forced the village to reduce the number of ninja. Gaara’s father the Kazekage decided that quality should exceed quantity. He chose to use an old weapon of war, a bijuu, which had been imbued into two former Sand ninja in the past.
At his demand, one of Hidden Sand’s elder kunoichi's, a profoundly skilled woman by the name Chiyo sealed this weapon known as Shukaku into the unborn son of the Kazekage’s wife, Karura. Transferring it from the tea kettle it was held in, Gaara was imbued with the Shukaku, making him what many call a "Jinchuuriki", or "power of human sacrifice”. The term originates from the immense abilities that the subject wields, but at the loss of another human’s life. In this case, it was Karura who lost her life as her son was born. Furious about how she was to lose her life for the sake of a weapon, she named her baby in an accursed way. The name "Gaara" itself could be broken down to "A demon that loves only itself", a reflection of his inhuman nature and his status in the village as a weapon and nothing more.
Gaara grew up isolated, as the Shukaku came with more than just the loss of Karura as a price. Having been bonded so closely to Gaara, his will was ever-present in Gaara’s mind. His murderous nature instilled a violent mean streak in Gaara, further isolating him and shutting him off from the world socially. In addition, the Shukaku’s abilities generated an almost sentient and instinctive shield of sand that automatically protected Gaara from physical harm, even when he was the instigator, something Gaara himself realized when he never got cut and bled. Emotionally and physically shut away from everyone and everything, Gaara had no real friends, even with his immediate family looking down at him scornfully. The only person Gaara had come to be able to trust eventually was his uncle, Yashamaru, who educated him on some of the most basic human emotions that he would otherwise never learn.
One fateful night, Gaara was attacked from behind by an avalanche of kunai. Even though he was blind to the danger, his shield of sand protected him and wounded the attacker. Upon investigation, he saw the masked assassin was Yashamaru, who said the one who ordered the strike was none other than his father the Kazekage, who had deemed Gaara a failure as a weapon due to his instability. Yashamaru also confided that while he could have refused to carry out the assassination, he chose to take it willingly for Gaara's part in his sister's death. In his last moments, he activated a mass of exploding tags beneath his flak jacket in an attempt to take Gaara with him. Due to the sand shield, Gaara survived. His mind snapped due to the emotional torrent his immature mind was being burdened with. He wailed in agony and directed his sand to his forehead, carving the kanji "ai" or "love" into it, forever marking his body to remind himself of his new approach to life, to love only himself and fight only for himself.
Not deterred, the Kazekage ordered further assassinations towards Gaara, but every one met in failure. Gaara had learned to finally be the weapon he was intended, but he still retained his mental instabilities. He could never sleep for fear of the Shukaku’s influence on his unconscious mind. Some labeled it as the Shukaku "eating away at his personality". In truth, Shukaku’s personality replaced his, possessing Gaara’s body. Gaara never knew the full truth of the demon inside him. Believing that the blood of his victims that mixed with his sand strengthened him, or how he was possessed by the corrupted spirit of a priest of sand. For all the bravado, Gaara never rebelled against his father, welcoming the challenge of each life-or-death situation he was placed in as a confirmation of his existence.
Gaara was eventually entered into the Chuunin Exams held by Hidden Leaf village, although with an ulterior motive. He and his siblings passed the first stage, followed by the second without so much as a scratch. It was in this second test where he murdered a trio of rival Hidden Rain Genin for his own amusement and demonstrating his signature Desert Funeral attack, surrounding the victims in sand and crushing their bodies to powder before pain could even register in their brains. The incident was witnessed by Team 8, where Gaara’s mere presence made Akamaru quiver in fear.
During the third test prelims, Temari and Kankurou both noticed that each violent fight, Gaara began to grow more excited. Finally, Gaara himself stepped into the arena in the penultimate fight, facing Rock Lee. The first half of the fight saw Gaara mostly disappointed as Lee failed to strike him once, until Lee removed the weights on his legs and began to move at superhuman speed, eventually not only kicking Gaara on top of his head but also landing a punch on his face that appeared to crack it, something rarely seen. It turned out to be a layer of sand Gaara used as an outer shell, revealing Gaara’s real face beneath it, now grinning in a psychotically gleeful manner. Gaara began to assault Lee and throw him all over the arena and rip at him with torrents of sand, Lee was forced into using his Omote Renge, requiring several kicks to lift Gaara up to the required height while under immense pain himself. Spinning and crashing back to the ground, Gaara was driven into the floor.
To Lee’s shock, Gaara cracked apart like a hollow shell. The moment he closed his eyes from the pain, Gaara was able to substitute a sand clone and avoid the impact, which allowed him to go back on the offensive. Enraged, Gaara once again began to violently tear at Lee. With all hope seemingly lost, Lee used his trump card, the Ura Renge. Pummeling Gaara with a series of strikes that were too fast for the eye to see, Lee managed to completely strip every last grain of protective sand from Gaara’s body and drag him around at speeds too high for the sand shield to block. With a final blow, Lee sent Gaara’s unprotected body plummeting down for a final strike. At the last second, Gaara’s gourd itself turned into sand, cushioning the impact. Enraged at being made to feel pain again and not being able to kill Lee, Gaara crushed Lee’s arm and leg, intending to kill him. Luckily for Lee, the fight was stopped when his sensei Gai stepped in to knock away the oncoming sand.
The concept of Gai stopping the assassination sent Gaara’s mind reeling with confusion, forcing him to recall his past. He took his leave and was later placed against Sasuke in the third round test. Foolishly, Dosu Kinuta decided to challenge Gaara the next night as he sat alone in the moonlight, intending to kill him and take his place as Sasuke’s opponent with the intention of ruining Orochimaru’s plans. For his recklessness, he was killed as Gaara allowed the Shukaku a brief moment of freedom, reducing Dosu to little more than a bloody stain on the rooftop. Later, he would track down the unconscious Lee in his hospital bed with the intention of killing him. He was confronted by Shikamaru and Naruto, where he once again suffered a mental lapse and restated his desires, explaining his name. Naruto soon realized he and Gaara were very much alike. Gai soon arrived and sent Gaara away once again. After that, Gaara sought out Sasuke, not to kill, but to acknowledge him as prey formally and go so far as to state a certain level of similarity between them, all under Kakashi’s protective eye.
When the match finally came to take place, Gaara was stopped on the way into the stadium by two Grass ninja who asked him to stage a loss in order to help a bet. Gaara crushed them in a bloody shower, and then proceeded onwards, luckily for Shikamaru and Naruto who were also in his way. Telling them he had been sated for the moment, he allowed them to live, seeing as how his next match was also part of a secret mission. Facing off against a "fashionably late" Sasuke, he was struck several times during the match. Enraged, he formed a sand cocoon around himself made of sand that extended out into spines when approached. Inside, Gaara was beginning to transform his body into the Shukaku’s. However, before it was completed, Sasuke pierced the shell and drove a Chidori into Gaara. For the first time ever, Gaara bled, sending his mind reeling and his half-transformed body slashing out at Sasuke from within.
With the plan forced to begin early, Gaara’s mission began as a joint invasion of Hidden Sound with Sand’s backup started. Still unstable, Kankurou and Temari threw themselves in to help him get to safety until he recovered. Sasuke, under orders, followed him, though Kakashi also managed to throw Sakura, Naruto and Shikamaru into a mission along with Pakkun to follow Sasuke. Shino also decided to follow, seeking the match Kankurou denied him to keep in order with the plan. With his siblings taken out of the picture by Shino and Sasuke, Gaara finally tapped into the Shukaku’s true power and began to transform again, with the right side of his face and his arm grotesquely deforming into a shape reminiscent of the sandy talons that swiped from his shell, drooling and screaming. Screaming out at Sasuke to show himself, Gaara took a second Chidori, tearing his transformed arm off, but he did not give up.
Sasuke was driven to the point where he had to deny Kakashi’s warning and released the power of the cursed seal for a third Chidori, but Gaara’s rage and determination barred him from stopping. Naruto then entered the fray, picking up from where Sasuke left off, with the incentive of Sakura’s life on the line as Gaara bound her to a tree and threatened to crush her. The two battled, with Gaara falling deeper into the Shukaku’s hold as his body sprouted a tail and the only human parts left of him were his lower legs. Naruto managed to hold Gaara off, calling thousands of clones to aid him and knock the sand off his body. Utterly livid, Gaara finally decided to sacrifice his free will. Creating a gigantic body in the shape of a monstrous tanuki, Gaara emerged from the forehead and put himself to sleep, allowing the Shukaku’s personality to emerge in a suitable body.
Naruto summoned Gamabunta, who fought Shukaku with some persuasion from his son. Even Gamabunta was outmatched by Shukaku’s drilling blasts of wind that it literally punched out from the gut. Seeking to end things quickly, Naruto and Gamabunta used a combined transformation technique, changing into a replica of the nine-tailed demon fox to try and get close. Naruto was able to wake Gaara up with a punch, dispelling Shukaku’s hold, but then found himself trapped by Gaara and about to share Sakura’s fate. With one last burst of strength, he crudely head butted Gaara, nearly knocking him out and sending both of them plummeting to the ground as Gamabunta’s summoning was also dispelled. They both gasped for air and they lay immobile. Gaara began to feel legitimately threatened for his life when he noticed a determined Naruto beginning to crawl towards him.
Screaming at how his existence would not end, Naruto told him that it was his friends who gave him the strength and motivation to keep going. Gaara thought back to Yashamaru's words on love and began to see a new path in life. Defeated, Kankurou and Temari retrieved him once more and fled back home, but not without Gaara apologizing first in a shocking display of humanity. However, a worse situation yet had arisen as a few days after the invasion, the Fourth Kazekage’s corpse was discovered, decomposed to lengths that suggested he had been dead months before the Chuunin exam invasion had been planned. It indicated all correspondence with Sound had actually been Orochimaru himself posing as the Kazekage. Hidden Sand was forced into an unconditional surrender with Leaf and became their ally once again.
Gaara’s changed outlook on life was noticeable in his next appearance, as he had not only switched to a new, less dark outfit but showed none of his previous sociopath urges. The Sand siblings were sent to assist Hidden Leaf retrieve Sasuke from the Sound Four. Gaara himself sought out Lee to help. He greeted Lee and stated he also sought to repay a debt to Naruto. Up against Orochimaru’s strongest bodyguard, Kimimaro, Gaara found several of his tactics useless. The first part of the conflict appeared to end when Gaara trapped him in a Desert Funeral, only for Kimimaro to emerge with superficial injuries. Kimimaro activated his cursed seal, forcing Gaara to use a strategy so powerful it rearranged the terrain, swamping Kimimaro with sand until he was buried under it, where Gaara used his "Desert Imperial Funeral", a gigantic version of Desert Funeral that affected the land for hundreds of feet around them. And yet still, Kimimaro would not by stopped.
Emerging from his arid prison, Kimimaro stepped out with his cursed seal fully active, now looking like a misshapen dinosaur. He tore out his own spinal column and used it as a whip to ensnare Gaara. Kimimaro then reshaped the strongest bones in his body to become a drilling implement on his left hand. Gaara responded by using his absolute strongest defense, an effigy of the Shukaku no bigger than himself, suggesting his change of heart had allowed him to tame the Shukaku. The shield was constructed from strong minerals that he mixed into his sand and pressurized with his chakra. Kimimaro stabbed deep in, but ultimately lost as the bone shattered. Before he could launch another attack, Gaara created a whirlpool in the sand that dragged him far below the ground, imprisoning him in a suffocating prison. But Kimimaro was not done.
A huge eruption of bony protrusions littered the area like a freshly sprung forest, forcing Lee and Gaara to take refuge on floating clouds of sand. Gaara admitted he was low on chakra and lucky to be alive, all too soon as Kimimaro emerged from one of the pylons of bone. However, before Kimimaro could strike the fatal stab, his time ran out. The disease that had crippled him for months finally took him. Gaara understood completely, as Kimimaro’s devotion to Orochimaru’s cause was the same kind of faith Naruto had in his friends that caused him to move after total exhaustion. The Sand Siblings then returned to Sand. Over the following years, Gaara spoke with Kankurou about proving himself to their village. He wanted to be respected and seen as something other than a weapon. He sought to become Kazekage and the village advisory council relented, in the hopes of placating and making full use of him. The village soon grew to love and respect Gaara.

1.~ The Third Eye[Daisan no Me ] :: Daisan no Me is a Ninjutsu technique unique to the Sand ninja Gaara. Created out of sand, the Eye allows Gaara to view an opponent when he is either encased in his Suna no Muya or when he needs to be able to see his opponent's actions when he has no clear line of sight with his own eyes.
2.~ Infinite Dust Great Breakthrough[Mugen Sajin Daitoppa] :: Fuuton • Mugen Sajin Daitoppa is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Wind Element. While in his partially transformed Shukaku form, Gaara can inhale a large amount of air into the Shukaku chest cavity. He can then exhale the air in a large gust capable of turning back an incoming attack.
3.~ Feigning Sleep Technique[Tanukineiri no Jutsu ] :: Tanukineiri no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique that allows Gaara to take full advantage of incarnation of sand. After being possessed by the Shukaku spirit, Gaara loses control of his body and personality to the demon when he sleeps. Normally as the medium, Gaara does not sleep to try and retain control over himself and the spirit. This limits the true power of Shukaku. However, if he wishes to allow Shukaku to emerge and obtain full control, he can use this technique to place himself into a temporary sleep. To end the sleep, a strong knock to the medium will wake them and end the control of the spirit.
4.~ Desert Sand Floating[Sabaku Fuyuu ] :: Sabaku Fuyuu is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by the Sand ninja Gaara. Using his ability to levitate sand, Gaara will bring together sand into cloud shape clumps. These clumps are dense enough for Gaara or another ninja to rest on. This can allow Gaara to rise above any threat from below.
5.~ Desert Coffin[Sabaku Kyuu ] :: Sabaku Kyuu is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by the Sand ninja Gaara. Gaara will cause sand to rise from the ground and wrap around the legs of his target, restraining them in place. The sand will then rise up to full encase the target. This technique alone can crush the bones of his opponent but the technique is usually used to prepare the victim for the Sabaku Sousou technique.
6.~ Desert Prison[Sabaku Rou ] :: Sabaku Rou is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by the Sand ninja Gaara. With the further expansion of his powers, Gaara has been able to control larger and larger amounts of sand. Sabaku Rou is a large scale version of Sabaku Kyuu. With this technique, Gaara will cause a large sphere of sand to encircle and trap his target.
7.~ Desert Funeral[Sabaku Sousou ] :: Sabaku Sousou is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by the Sand ninja Gaara. Gaara will cause sand to rise from the ground and encase his target using his Sabaku Kyuu technique, making them captured in place. Gaara will then do this jutsu to constrict and crush his target killing them. The blood of the victim will then mix with the sand which returns to Gaara's gourd. The blood then gives more power to the Shukaku demon imbued in Gaara.
8.~ Desert Imperial Funeral[Sabaku Taisou ] :: Sabaku Taisou is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by the Sand ninja Gaara. The technique functions similar to his Sabaku Sousou except on a much larger scale. With the development of Gaara's powers he has gained further control over the nearby environment. By crushing rocks and pebbles in the ground he can create more useable sand. After focusing his power he uses his Ryuusa Bakuryuu technique to cover the surrounding environment in sand. He then places his hands down to the ground and causes the sand to constrict and harden, thereby crushing everything it is covering.
9.~ Halberd of Shukaku[Shukaku no Hoko ] :: Shukaku no Hoko is a Ninjutsu technique said to be Gaara's Saikou Zettai Kougeki (Supreme Absolute Attack). Gaara collects extremely solid minerals and mixes them into his sand using pressure from his chakra. This creates a very strong and hard Shukaku-like halberd which he can then throw. The strength of the material allows it to penetrate a very strong defense.
10.~ Shield of Shukaku[Shukaku no Tate ] :: Shukaku no Tate is a Ninjutsu technique said to be Gaara's Saikou Zettai Bougyo (Supreme Absolute Defense). To stop an incoming attack, Gaara will mainfest a small form of the Shukaku demon out of sand. Gaara collects extremely solid minerals from underground and mixes them into his sand using pressure from his chakra. This creates a very strong defensive barrier.
11.~ Sand Clone Technique[Suna Bunshin no Jutsu] :: Suna Bunshin is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by the Sand ninja Gaara. The clone functions like a normal Bunshin, except it is made out of sand. The clone itself can be formed out of the Suna no Tate that protects Gaara. When a ninja goes to attack the Bunshin, the malleability of the sand allows the blow to sink into the sand, which can then wrap itself around the limb to constrain the attacker.
12.~ Cocoon of Sand[Suna no Mayu] :: Suna no Mayu is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by the Sand ninja Gaara. It serves as one of Gaara's absolute defenses. After forming the needed hand seals, a sphere of sand will surround his body. This sand cocoon is made as a defensive measure and is also made to allow Gaara to enter into his Shukaku state. Where his body becomes encased in Sand to make him resemble a smaller form of the Shukaku demon. While in the cocoon Gaara will use the Daisan no Me (Third Eye) to view his opponent and the surrounding battlefield.
13.~ Shield of Sand[Suna no Tate] :: Suna no Tate is a Ninjutsu technique created by the Shukaku demon imbued into Gaara. The shield that protects Gaara does so under its own will. Since the time Gaara was a baby, the sand incarnation Shukaku has protected Gaara using this shield of sand. When needed, Gaara can also use his own chakra to control the sand to act as a barrier. Because the protection is reliant upon how quickly the Shukaku demon can respond, it is possible a fast enough ninja can bypass the sand and strike Gaara. If the shield fails, Gaara uses his Suna no Yoroi to act as secondary protection from attack.
14.~ Armor of Sand[Suna no Yoroi ] :: Suna no Yoroi is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by the Sand ninja Gaara. If Gaara's Suna no Tate fails, Gaara uses an almost invisible thin layer of sand to cover his body. For the sand to cover Gaara's body, he has to use his body's chakra. When covered by the sand Gaara becomes heavier and it is more difficult for his body to maneuver. Though the sand does provide some protection, sufficient strikes will break the armor to expose Gaara's natural body.
15.~ Sand Lightning Needles[Suna Raishin ] :: Suna Raishin is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by the Sand ninja Gaara. Gaara will hurl sand into the air which will come down around his target as hard pikes. Electricity will be generated from the pikes to arc towards and attack his opponent.If his opponent utilizes lightning, it appears this technique will neutralize its usage in the target.
16.~ Sand Shower[Suna Shigure ] :: The Suna Shigure is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by the Sand ninja Gaara. Using his chakra to control nearby sand, Gaara will levitate small clumps of sand above his opponent. This sand can be used to distract his target while he starts his Sabaku Kyuu technique or to provide further sand for the sand coffin itself.
17.~ Sand Shuriken[Suna Shuriken ] :: The Sand Shuriken is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by the Sand ninja Gaara. Using his chakra to control nearby sand, Gaara will hurl disks of sand at his opponent. Spinning through the air the disks are deadly in strength, inflicting large amounts of damage to his target and surrounding objects.
18.~ Quicksand Waterfall Current[Ryuusa Bakuryuu ] :: Ryuusa Bakuryuu is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by the Sand ninja Gaara. The technique functions similar to his Sabaku Kyuu except on a much larger scale. With the development of Gaara's powers he has gained further control over the nearby environment. By crushing rocks and pebbles in the ground with his sand, he can create more useable sand. After focusing his power, a large tidal wave size amount sand will rise from the ground to cover his target and the surrounding area. This technique serves to set up his Sabaku Taisou technique.

Katsu awoke as the loud ringing of his alarm blasted in his ears. His eyes blinked twice before fully opening. He had woken up 6 hours before the time he needed to. He wanted to get some quick training in before the exam to make sure he was ready. In the back of the Hyuuga main branch estate, Katsu’s father had set up which was very similar to the forest of death.
It had many traps that were all over the place. Katsu had his father set them up the day before so that when Katsu went through the forest he wouldn’t know the exact placement of the traps. He even had some side branch member hide in the forest to do ambushes and sneak attack on Katsu when he went through. He got up to the beginning of the forest and took a deep breath. He checked all his supplies to make sure he had enough, ”hmm, Kunai, Shuriken, wire, explosion tags, smoke bombs, flash bombs, bandages, and one fuuma shuriken. Okay I’m ready!”
Katsu then took another deep breath and charged into the forest. He travel half a mile and activated his Byakugan BYAKUGAN! When Katsu reached the 1 ½ mile area he was attacked by one of the ninja hidden in the forest. ”So there goes one already?” The ninja through a large kunai at Katsu; Katsu countered by throwing 2 kunai with explosion tags attacked to them. When the weapons collided the giant kunai exploded releasing hundreds of kunai.
”holy crap! Nice trick though.” Katsu began to spin and chakra began to shot out, until his body was covered by a large dome of chakra the deflected the weapons. Then when the weapons were all deflected Katsu jumped out of the dome and charge at the ninja with incredible speed, before jumping out of the dome Katsu was absorbing some of his chakra and putting it into his feet. When he got close enough to the ninja Katsu used one of the Jyuuken jutsu he knows, ” Hakke: Sou Dou Shyou!” Katsu struck the enemy with both arms open, and forcing chakra straight through him.
The ninja fell to the ground and Katsu came straight after him, ” Take this! Gentle Fist!” Katsu sued the barrage of Gentle Fist attacks hitting maybe a couple of the enemy’s tenketsu points. The ninja fell to the floor and was unconscious. Katsu took a deep breath and charged on through the forest, only to trip a trap a few minutes later. A bunch of kunai and shuriken began to fly through the air towards Katsu, ”Jeez father what are you seriously trying to get me killed here!?”
Katsu began to spin utilizing the heavenly spin jutsu. With this jutsu Katsu deflected almost all of the kunai and shuriken, after a few moments Katsu lost the control of his jutsu and had to dodge the rest of the kunai and shuriken. Though this would be very hard for a Genin, Katsu would be able to do it thank to his Byakugan and his Training with his father. Katsu did receive a couple dozen cuts. After dodging as many of them as he could, which was about 85% of them, Katsu covered his arms and legs in bandages because of the cuts he received.
Katsu then began to run though the forest yet again, After 45 minutes Katsu was ambushed by three Hyuuga side branch members. Katsu had to put his abilities to the best and defeat them. They came in charging after Katsu, each one trying to use Gentle Fist on him. Two came from his sides trying to get him, but Katsu quickly reacted and did a back flip to dodge the incoming double assault. When he dodged the two ninja collided striking each other, knocking each other out.
”come on is this really how good the side branch really is?” Then right after his statement the third ninja came from behind Katsu and tried to get him, but Katsu was able to see the attack with his Byakugan and dodge him with another back flip over the ninja. When Katsu successfully landed behind the ninja Katsu dealt a power Jyuuken strike to the ninja’s stomach knocking him out. Katsu then turned and began to tread through the forest again, he kept his guard up in case of more ambushes but he then got an impressive idea.
”I know, if I focus my Byakugan I should be able to see the traps that are around.” Katsu then began to focus his Byakugan to see as much as he could, he continued trying to focus it but then realized it would work when he focused it to the extent where he was even able to pick up the bugs that were around the forest. He was correct and he noticed many traps located around the forest. He was also surprised when he could now even see the ninja’s that lay ahead. That’s when Katsu decided to change his course and go in path that curved to the left of the forest, by doing this he would easily be able to escape the traps and ninja ahead, or so he thought.
Katsu deactivated his Byakuga, which was his first mistake for when he did a few seconds later he activated a trap the flung kunai straight towards him. ’Oh crap, I let my guard down to early!” Katsu didn’t have enough chakra to perform heavenly spin to deflect them to he had to go with the only other option he had, his katana’s. Katsu drew his katana’s and began to charge his wind natured chakra into them, placing as much chakra as he had could without using up all of his chakra. His katana’s now were outlined by a blue chakra and he charged in at the trap.
He began slashing his swords around and when he hit the kunai they would be sliced in half. ”wow nice, I think I’ll keep this move!” Katsu continued to slash and cut the kunai until he reached the end of the trap. He then stopped putting his chakra into his swords and placed them back into their scabbards. He then just made a quick dash forward and got passed the trap. He then noticed he was at the end of the forest. ”wow I’m finally done!”
Katsu looked around and saw the secret passage that goes under ground, which would lead him back to his house. He followed the underground path and made it back to his estate. There his father was to congratulate him on finally making it through. Katsu still had 3 hours left until he was supposed to wake up to get to the Chuunin exam. So he went to his room replenished his items and then went to sleep for the remainder of the 3 hours. When that time was up Katsu was awoken by his father and Katsu grabbed his items.
He bid one quick goodbye to his father and then charged to the Forest of Death. He arrived at the gate in time to hear the proctor’s speech. He then heard his name called and entered the tent. But before he did he noticed someone was there that he knew very well, it was none other than Katsu’s Jounin sensei Satoshi Harishin. Katsu walked over to him and greeted him, ”Hello Sato-sensei are you surprised that I made it to the second part, though I’m surprised the Hinagi and that other kid on our team didn’t participate. Oh well I got to go it was nice to see you Sato-sensei!”
Katsu then ran off to the tent when his name was called, in there he was given the heaven scroll and then he immediately walked over to the gate. He then immediately dashed into the forest as quickly as he could, activated his Byakugan at the same time. With his Byakugan he noticed a ninja heading his way and immediately began to prepare for the ninja’s arrival. He dug a huge hole in the ground, but covered it with many leaves and a net under the leaves. Now it was just up to the ninja falling for the trap.
Katsu took out one of his kunai and used the transformation jutsu on the kunai and gave it the appearance of one of the scrolls, both scrolls appeared the same so it was hard to tell the difference by not looking at the symbol on it. Katsu then hid in the shadows and awaited the ninja to come into view of the scroll. The ninja landed on the tree branch that was in direct view of the scroll and thought I was the real thing. ”Alright a free scroll, some idiot Genin must have dropped it and forgot about it.”, the ninja then jumped down to where the fake scroll was and fell right into Katsu’s trap. When Katsu saw the kid hit the bottom of the hole with his Byakugan he then jumped down there and went to relieve the Genin of his scroll, but Katsu was very upset with his result.
”Aw man someone else already took you scroll! Are you kidding me!?” Katsu then stole all of the ninja’s tools as his prize since the ninja didn’t have a scroll. Katsu then jumped up out of the hole and continued through the forest. He was very upset that his skills were wasted since he didn’t get a scroll, but he did get some interesting items. hmm, I see he had an few double edged kunai and some thin extra sharp shuriken and even some rope. Katsu was then ambushed by another ninja 10 minutes later.
Katsu did in fact see the ambush with his Byakugan and was already preparing for it. He though that now would be a good time to utilize his new items, He threw a smoke and flash bomb in two different areas, after disappearing, to divert the ninja’s attention. While the ninja was busy with the distractions Katsu set up a trap that would fling the double kunai and the sharp thin shuriken at the ninja, but those would also be diversions. For Katsu had used his katana’s and filled them with his wind chakra and cut a few large logs. He then tied them up to rope he got from his earlier battle and had the ropes swing when he cut a second rope that was with each of the logs.
Katsu then used clone jutsu and sent one of his fake clones to the other log. Katsu then sent another clone down to the located where the first trap would be activated and lured the ninja there. Katsu then set off the trap flinging the weapons at the ninja and his clone. The ninja then jumped up and was in position for the logs, and Katsu’s clone that was at the bottom was revealed to be fake when on of the weapons hit it. The ninja then went on high alert but it was too late.
Katsu and his other clone had cut the second rope triggering the log trap. The ninja was then hit by the logs and was hurt very badly and was knocked unconscious. Katsu then relieved the ninja of his scroll but was once again unhappy, ”Great, the first ninja didn’t even have a scroll and now the second ninja has the same freaking scroll as me!” Katsu then also relieved the ninja of his items and took them as his own. They were basically the same items, but one item was different. The ninja had a scroll that contained even more ninja tools. Katsu then noticed that it was getting dark and he also noticed a bush with edible berries nearby, so Katsu picked some and ate them for dinner. He then made a bed out of leaves and fell asleep so that he would be well rested for the next day.
The little bit of light that peered through the forest tree’s hit Katsu’s face waking him up form his slumber. Katsu realized that he’d better hurry before someone found him and took his scroll. He got up and grabbed all of his items. He then activated his Byakugan and saw a lake up ahead. Katsu went to it so that he could freshen up, but to his surprise there was another ninja at the lake. Katsu noticed him before reaching the lake, well not really he noticed him when he reached the last tree right before the lake.
Katsu hid behind the tree and focused his Byakugan like he did when he was at the forest training for the exam. He got it to the point where he could see all of the weapons and items the ninja had on him. Katsu then saw the ninja’s scroll and it was the earth scroll, the exact scroll he needed. Katsu then began to set up many traps all around then ninja. He then jumped down from one tree and landed in front of the ninja.
The ninja noticed him but it was too late Katsu had already activated the trap and kunai and shuriken and many weapons shot out at the ninja and Katsu, but Katsu wasn’t done. ” Hakkeshou: Kaiten shuriken (Hakke-Palm: Divine Whirl shuriken)” Katsu then began to spin rapidly with a chakra dome swirling along with him, and out of the dome Katsu shot out shuriken. The ninja was finished he had no way to escape the trap and was killed by the ninja tool that had hit him. Katsu went to the ninja and was about to take the ninja’s scroll but the ninja when poof in a cloud of white smoke and there was a log in his place, ”uh, a replacement jutsu. So this guy isn’t as dumb as I thought”
Katsu then used his Byakugan to find the ninja, but the ninja was gone and out of sight. Suddenly Katsu heard a rumbling underground, ”What the…? He’s underground!” Katsu then jumped up at the right moment because after he jumped up the ninja came out of the earth and tried to hit him. Katsu then kicked the ninja hard in the face when he came out of the ground. The ninja went flying back a good 5 feet and Katsu came after him, stopping 2 feet in front of the ninja.
”Your in my field of divination, Hakkeshou: Rokujuu Yonshou (Divinitive Palm: 64 Strikes of Divinity)!” A large portion of the area became green and had many lines and symbols everywhere. The ninja stood up and Katsu charged in at him, ”Two Palms!” Katsu struck the ninja two times in their tenketsu points releasing chakra into them and sealing them. Katsu then flipped back and charged in at the ninja, who tried to punch Katsu but Katsu was able to dodge it and continued with his jutsu.
”Four Palms!”, Katsu struck the ninja two more time in his tenketsu points. Katsu then side stepped to the right and went in for another attack, ”Eight Palms!” Katsu struck the ninja four more times in the tenketsu points this time. Katsu then flipped over the ninja while delivering eight more strike, ”Sixteen Palms!” Katsu then landed and went in for another strike, this time the ninja was hurt so badly that he could barely move.
”Thirty-two Palms!” Katsu delivered sixteen more strikes to the ninja’s body. The ninja stood there and was pretty banged up and was unable to move. Katsu then took a deep breath and went in for the final attack, ” Sixty-four Palms!” Katsu Delivered thirty-two more strikes to the ninja’s tenketsu, the last one hitting one located near the heart of the ninja. The ninja fell and was out cold, Katsu walked up to the ninja and took his scroll he was very pleased with what the ninja had, ”Yes finally the Earth Scroll! Now I’m done with this part of the exam. Now it’s time to head off to the tower for the next part of the Chuunin exams.”
Katsu also took this ninja’s items which were a serious amount, to much for Katsu to carry. So Katsu did the smart thing, he took out the ninja scroll he took from his earlier opponent and sealed the items into the scroll. Katsu then noticed the ninja’s headband, ”huh? It’s an Earth village ninja! Wow there stronger than I thought they were. But still no match for a ninja of the Hyuuga clan” Katsu then took a brief deep breath and continued on to the tower. After 1 hour of heading towards the tower Katsu was ambushed by three ninja that had seemed to decide to work together.
All three charged in at Katsu from different directions, hmm, it looks like I just might get to use that jutsu after all. Katsu then began to spin and when the ninja got close enough he started used 64 strikes of divinity at the same time it was none other than the jutsu he made, the Hakkeshou: Kaiten Rokujuu Yonshou (Hakke-Palm: Divine Whirl Strikes of Divinity). Katsu began shooting chakra out of the rotating dome and into the ninja’s, ”Two Palms, Four Palms, Eight Palms, Sixteen Palms, Thirty-two Palms! Sixty-four Palms!” Katsu then stopped spinning sending the three ninja flying back into trees. One of them ended up getting knocked out. One was badly hurt and the other one was charging at Katsu.
Katsu then placed his hands in front of himself and when the ninja got close enough he used on of his jutsu, ” Hakke: Sou Dou Shyou!” Katsu struck the enemy with both arms open, and forcing chakra straight through him. That knocked out the ninja that it hit, then the other ninja that was hurt badly fainted due to his injuries. Katsu then walked up to them and took all their scrolls and sealed away their items in his scroll, two of them had both of the scrolls they need and only one of the had the scroll that was the same as Katsu’s so now he had eight scrolls. Katsu then looked up and he could see the tower and it was only 1-2 miles away.
Katsu then dashed forward and placed chakra into his feet speeding him up. Within the time frame of about 15 or 16 minutes Katsu had arrived at the tower. There were in fact many other Genin there, but it seemed that over half of them that entered in the beginning were no longer there. Katsu then saw as a Jounin called him over to check his scrolls, which he was four pairs of scrolls which meant he had eight of them. When Katsu took them out the Jounin was surprised, but not that much. He could tell Katsu had done a lot of fighting because of all the scars that he had. The Jounin checked the scrolls and they were good, so Katsu had now officially passed the Chuunin exams.
