PEin had been wandering through the msit, seeing if his abilities in the village hidden in the rain would apply to the same principle here as well. Mist was more rain, but less than a downpour of rain. But notheless, he was also here to see what other bodies he could find. But the search was ptoving rather difficult, even this was the mist village, where fights were as popular as leaves in konoha.

He was not expecting to see anyone he knew here, but seeing as how he dispatched every akatsuki member to search for a certain bijju, you would never know who you may encounter.

Itachi had wandered for days waiting for his partner to come in contact with him about they’re next target, waiting in one spot seemed stupid because the Konoha ninja and the other nations have began a number of bounty groups designed for the capture of Akatsuki members, the young raven haired shinobi made his way ones of the islands, walking on water seemed to trivial to him that he could do it without even concentrating any though about it, the fact that Kisame went to visit his comrades grave made little sentiment to Itachi, Kisame was after all just a other freak from Akatsuki, none of them deserved to live, although Kisame was different from them. He held a childish demeanor and loved to fight, he showed no extent for violence and he had proved his loyalty to Itachi, the young Uchiha can bravely state that Kisame is his only friend right now and because of that though Itachi felt saddened knowing that he needed to befriend a person or rather… a freak like him

As Itachi finally reached one of the islands he stepped onto the shore, he was wearing his akatsuki uniform, his hands not in the sleeves but obviously laying in the pockets of his pants, on his head laid the straw hat that most members wore to hide they’re faces, Itachi wore it because he was using the Sharingan constantly and it would stand him out too much, although the cloak manages to do the same. As Itachi started through walk in a slow paste through the think mist he saw a incredible chakra in the distance, feeling that this was no ordinary opponent he took a quiet deep breath and continued to walk on further keeping his vision on the incredibly powerful chakra source as he got closer the power source got obvious, it was undoubtedly they’re leader Pein, Itachi feared him although he never showed it or made it obvious he feared Pein his name alone made him shiver a little knowing that a freak of his caliber is alive just makes him fear for others lives though Itachi presumed that he could fight Pein in a equal fight if he wanted he would never try even if he got orders to do so.

As Itachi got even closer his slow paste made a small sound through the rocky ground of the misty terrain thud, thud, thud his quiet slow steps probably gave him quickly away to Pain and he would undoubtedly question Itachi’s position, they had a mission to capture the nine tails and the two tailed beasts that were far away from here, Itachi was in no rush to look for Naruto again the boy has too many friends and they would intervene in his capture and Kisame would go berserk slashing everything in his path and he would kill someone in the process. Itachi finally stood a few steps away from Pain and spoke quietly, calmly but at the same time coldly and clearly “Pein, strange to see you away from your village” Itachi’s placed his left hand onto the straw hat and removed it revealing his raven hair and his leaf forehead protector with the scar on it, he without hesitation stated “Kisame went on his own errand, I decided not to act alone and wait for his return to continue our mission for the tailed beasts” as his sharingan looked straight into Pain’s ranengan, Itachi felt confident and gave a waive of calmness and coldness around him.

Pein turned around. "Well, Konan and I decided to pay a visit. Although Konan did not want to stay here long, i let her go back to HQ. I decided to apply my jutsu to the light mist that falls here in Kirigakure." said Pein, knowing that itachi had come here muuch earlier. He felt that Kisame was a tad bit reckless, but hey, everyone had their contacts.

Pein stopped what he was doing and sat on a nearby rock. What was Itachi doing here. Since his failure of the nine tail fox, they were now blacklisted. But hey, he was a myth to all. Tobi as well, their true leader, was a mystery as well. He never liked Tobi, but eh, could not change it.

Itachi stood bravely in front of the “leader” of Akatsuki, he seemed so self confident and powerful that Itachi would love to wipe the ground with him, but stuff like that would need to be left for the other generation, people like Sasuke or Naruto in time they will take care of Pein and make sure he dies a long and painful death, but Itachi had a different mission and he wasn’t going to fails his mission just because he faces freaks like Pein everyday. Itachi held a calm perspective of things but when looking at the freak known as Pein he couldn’t control himself but show disgust, he concealed it well with his emotionless face and sharingan eyes and Pein would probably never see it but Itachi could not wait for the day when he gets a chance to meet Pein in hell and make him pay for all the things he’s done, but now he can only play the role of zealous servant of akatsuki and wait for his opportunity to see Sasuke and from now on he decided it would be best if he kept a close eye on both Sasuke and Kisame and Madara.

As Pein sat down on the rock Itachi kept standing straight, he had a huge amount of stamina and even after a day of traveling or fighting he wouldn’t require to sit down and rest, Itachi kept his eyes not Pein’s eyes but at the same time he examined his piercing, they looked very painful and Itachi himself dislikes that kind of stuff and it would drive him to pure disgust but Itachi kept a cool exterior none the less showing no emotion still pretending to be the ever lasting barrier of calmness and rage as Itachi finally spoke after a long moment of silence his voice was calm and cold, quiet and relaxed, he didn’t fear Pein even if he tried to attack Itachi, the young Uchiha knew his way around the rinnegan and if needed he would not hesitate to use his power and attack Pein in self defense “Nagato, tell me, what is it that drives you?” he asked calmly without any show of emotion or fear, Itachi was interested to know to why Nagato joined akatsuki and what’s his goal and what is it that keeps him going “Is it hope or pure hatred that keeps you going?” Itachi himself stood calmly waiting for an answer.

He somehow imagined that Pein’s drive was power, he needed it for a reason beyond Itachi and beyond Konoha but to obtain it he must have went through such lengths? Itachi has seen his real body its not a pretty sight, Madara himself claimed that he wouldn’t go to such lengths himself, though Itachi sometimes wondered what was Madara’s goal in all of this. He had enough power he needed to take on Konoha or even any nation, he had immortality and he was almost invincible these days, though keeping himself hidden by a character known as Tobi wasn’t the brightest idea he had, besides being plain childish the idea makes Itachi angry with how stupid and yet powerful Madara is. Itachi kept his three pupil sharingan on Pein, not knowing how he would react to Itachi’s question he hoped this wouldn’t end up being a fight, although he knew that Nagato was a reasonable man and had no desire in fighting anyone unless it was necessary to him and others. Itachi looked at Pein’s eyes wishing that this wouldn’t take long, he didn’t reveal it but the reason he came here was the there was a rumor that an A ranked missing nin was here and he got some information through Sasori’s “puppet” that Orochimaru sent Sasuke to hunt her down and this will prove to be an interesting sight to see.

"Hmmn?" said the neo akatsuki leader as he turned his head, to face the uchiha slaughterer. Slayer of the uchiha clan, and one of two that only existed in the world. Technically three, but no one knew of the third, but konan and him. Maybe Itachi knew as well. It all did not matter.

"Justice and peace keeps me going." said Pein, remembering what he founded akatsuki for. For peace, when they where orphans in the hidden rain, so that no war would exist, as well as no one would be orphaned, or deal what they had to go through. IT was twice as tough, considering they were only children.

Itachi’s eyebrow lifted as he heard Nagato say he was fighting for peace, was that true? If so does he believe killing thousands of lives will make it happen? Does he believe an illusion like peace can be achieved through suffering and hatred? A piece of Itachi believed that with his powers he can make a difference in this world, but the inner turmoil he felt for the slaughter of his clan stopped him from acting, he felt like akatsuki was a place where a person and a reject like him belongs, he couldn’t protect his family how can he protect Sasuke? This fight was beyond him and he knew it well that this is the only way he can ever see Akatsuki destroyed but he felt bad for Kisame, he wasn’t that bad but he was influenced by a lot of people in his life to act the way he is now and if he actually feels that inner turmoil that Itachi feel’s there’s still hope for him, but for Nagato and the others there was no hope except accepting death and embracing it as they’re one true destiny, they were going to die sooner or later someone is killing them.

Itachi kept quiet for a moment looking at Pein thinking what to say, he didn’t expect this from him especially something like this “Peace… There can never be peace… as long as there are people who can fight there will always be evil, there will always be akatsuki there will always be war, peace is just an illusion and a dream, something that isn’t destined for reality, if your so set on peace, why akatsuki? Why criminals like me and Kisame? You could just achieve peace cooperating with the other villages, could you not?” Itachi looked at Nagato expecting a straight on answer, although itachi spoke in a calm, quiet and cold voice he was obviously interested in what Nagato had to say, maybe his ideals of peace are worth fighting for and would bring joy to the people around him, or would it just destroy more then it would help… Itachi wasn’t going to allow him to proceed with his plan right now he was certain that he will stop akatsuki even if it meant dying in the process while trying to achieve this “dream” and this illusion; he will not rest until they are dead.

For the first time in years Itachi felt a new emotion, it was disgust, though it didn’t show in his calm and sad face but Itachi wanted to puke from them, dogs nothing more and Konoha wasn’t better, the shinobi system is flawed and as long as it exists there will never be peace, that was the harsh reality of this world and Itachi questioned his mission, he questioned his ideals and he questioned his reasons for joining akatsuki the hokage is dead his mission was to report to him but since he’s dead Itachi is now stranded in akatsuki, he was supposed to pull him out, what now? Itachi had a plan to take out every member of akatsuki with the help of Konoha and Sasuke and even if he dies this dream will become a reality that everyone will be able to enjoy. Itachi looked at Nagato with confident three pupil sharingan eyes and in his mind he decided ”I’m not coming back, I’m not doing shit for them, I’m not living a lie while they swing in denial it’s time I took matters into my hand, I will…no… I must achieve peace”

One man, one goal Uchiha Itachi sets out for a mission of peace, death and betrayal this journey will end with his death, for his family and friends Uchiha Itachi will pay the ultimate price for peace and not even Pain is going to stop him, plans and idea’s about how to achieve this came to his mind but he knew that he only a had a limited time to do this and if he must sacrifice everything so be it, neither Nagato nor Madara will achieve they’re dreams, they’re dreams will never become reality because Itachi will never allow it, he spoke in his usual tone to Pein “…If so what is the price of peace?” Itachi knew that answer full well it was self sacrifice and he wondered if Nagato knew this and if not, how he will ever achieve peace if he doesn’t understand the rules by which he must play to achieve the true level of power, if he doesn’t understand the words self sacrifice he can never even hope of obtaining peace.
