A loud smack! echoed through the crowded streets of Konoha, and Kajitori was left standing with the residents of his former village staring blankly at the red handprint that had somehow managed to make it onto his face. He sighed and gave a light pout, then ran his gloved fingers through his brilliant crimson hair. "Well, I guess I kinda deserved that," he mumbled under his breath as he looked upwards into the clear blue sky. It was a shame that there were no clouds that could possibly bring forth the rain that he longed for. He hadn't had a drop to drink in what seemed like days, and his empty stomach growled angrily at him. He was more than certain that he didn't look like a hopeless bum, but he sure as hell felt like one. He was a nuke-nin, and he was proud of it... but starving? Now that was unacceptable.
He cursed his stomach and began meandering through the swarms of civilians and shinobi alike, but made sure that he didn't connect with anyone's eyes, whether they wore the glimmering hitaiate of the Leaf or not. Normally, he welcome any challenge, but since he was scavenging for food - he cringed at the term - he was going to have to endure being quiet for a few minutes.
A declcious scent of chicken and beef caught Kajitori's attention as he passed by a shop with "Ichiraku Ramen" printed on yellow flaps that hung loosely over the entrance. He swallowed harshly as he eyed the shop, then glanced around to scan the area and make sure there were no ANBU or other shinobi around before he pushed through said flaps and sat on a bar stool. He propped his feet onto the beams under the bar itself and gave a smile to the owner before requesting a large order of beef ramen, and once the manager had turned his back, Kajitori noticed the woman behind the counter. Score.
"Hey there, Beauty," Kajitori half-chuckled, propping his cheek on his hand and giving a wink to the young lady. "What's your name?"
His question was was met by her gaze and a deep blush, followed by a stuttered response. "A-Ayame..." She visibly swallowed, then turned and gave her full attention to the nuke-nin. "H-How about yours...?"
"Kajitori," he responded, reaching over the bar to gently take her hand and kiss the back of it before looking up at her from under his eyelashes. He mentally added the Bloody Phoenix and nuke-nin of Konohagakure no Sato... "At your service."
Their meeting was cut short as the manager slammed down the bowl of ramen in front of Kajitori and glared at the two of them. Ayame immediately retracted her hand, and Kajitori bit the corner of his lip and gave the old man a discontented glance before taking the chopsticks and beginning his meal.
The owner asked the woman to go fetch some fresh ingredients, and with a smile to Kajitori and another wink from him in return, she dashed out to retrieve what had been asked of her.
As the owner fumed quietly, another slice of hotness - a man with toussled chocolate hair and matching eyes - sat down a few seats away and peered around with a confused expression as plain as day on his beautiful, smooth features.
Kajitori mentally shrugged. Why not?
He licked the beef-flavored broth from his lips and turned to the man, who happened to be looking the other way. If he was searching for someone, then that person was going to have to wait, 'cause Kaji was playing the bait.
He silently slid his bowl and self over to the empty seat next to the man, and when the other turned back and nearly jumped from his seat, Kajitori gave a light chuckle. "You're quite adorable, if you don't mind me saying so," Kajitori said with a large smile playing on his countenance as he reached his index finger to trace the man's thin, quivering lips. Taking his silence and awkwardness as a sign of unconscious acceptance to his actions, Kajitori leaned in to make his move.

“Excuse me.” Before any act of public indecency could be committed, cold metal intercepted the would-be assailant’s progress, pressing firmly against his throat as to prevent him from leaning forwards any farther. The comment was rather irate, yet carefully controlled, coming off as not-quite polite, yet not-quite rude. “I do think he would prefer for you to back off, thank you very much.”
The two words were soft, yet acidic to the core, and distinctly red eyes stared down at the flirtatious man, filled with a cool distain. It was painfully obvious that the person whom the confused man was waiting for had finally arrived. Even so, Kuma had little idea what had transpired before he had managed to find the place. The thought did little to quench the anger that was threatening to tighten his chest and take over his limbs.
It had been one of Kogitsune’s direct requests, and how could he refuse anything that the other man asked of him? Especially not with those soft, chocolate eyes staring up at him, so full of hope and naivety; it had been a rather awkward situation for the nuke-nin, but he had relented quickly, unable to refuse. He had been severely hoping to stay out of the way in Konohagakure no Sato, but there was no way he could disappoint the Hoshi-nin; he had deluded himself into thinking that he was merely going out to make sure that Kogitsune’s condition didn’t worsen, trying to deny the fact that he was absolutely under the younger man’s thumb. It behooved him to think about how attached he had become in such a short time, especially after having been on his own for so long.
However, a promise was a promise, and Kuma found himself wandering through the streets quite lost, with only the name “Ichiraku” to guide him. Those that he had asked for directions had merely laughed and pointed him on his way, commenting about some local dish that was made there, but without any understanding of what they were talking about, he had no idea if their amusement was at his own expense or not.
Though it had been quite a hassle, at last he had found himself staring at a small stand, more of an outdoor food stall he supposed, with large letters painted upon it denoting that it was indeed his final destination. Beyond the curtains he could see the familiar greys of the Hoshi-nin’s attire, and just as he was about to greet the man…well, that took him to the situation he was now faced with.
His rarely used Kotetsushojou was in hand, keeping whatever cur that had decided to infiltrate the ill shinobi’s personal space back, and for once in his life, it actually appeared as if the medic was clearly enraged about something. Sure, he was used to the normal ebb and flow of life’s disappointments, and of course he was still thoroughly livid about the goings on in Kumogakure, but this was different. This was Some. Man. Touching. His. Property. That was just something that would not be allowed, and Kuma was terribly adamant about preventing some sleazy pretty-boy from invading his new lover’s vital regions. “Please .”[/blockquote]

Before Kajitori's warm lips could press delicately against the other's in the same fashion that he had used to seduce the others, a sharp, cold point was pressed against his throat, causing him to retract ever so slightly, wavering his actions. Was his conscience finally coming into play? Was this that obnoxious little angel on his shoulder that his grandfather had constantly warned him to ignore? As the thoughts filtered through his mind, one stood out the most: back off.
As his finger slipped from the stranger's bottom lip, he realized that it wasn't his thought, but someone else's words that had somehow delved themselves into his conscience and caused him to retreat... and he also noted something aimed at his neck that had seemed to miss. Was this man jealous of the dark-eyed young shinobi? Oh, wait... That wasn't his conscience. That was a spear.
Quickly thinking of a comeback for being defeated subconsciously, Kajitori allowed a smirk to play on his lips as he leaned back and eyed the spear. He softly placed his finger on the point of the blade and jiggled it up and down for a second as possible taunts bubbled up until one spilled out. "Compensating for something here, little man?"
Quite proud of his retort, Kajitori narrowed his jade eyes and used his free hand to rake his bangs against his head and tilt up his chin, then gave the nuke-nin a snide side-smile. Maybe this would turn in his own favor...
At the frantic ushering of the shopkeeper, Kajitori stood as snatched the Hoshi-nin's wrist into his hand, seeing how protective the strangely-dressed man was of him, and offered to take their bout "somewhere else." He didn't see why the other was afraid of watching his tiny stand engulfed in the burning flames of pure ecstasy... Just thinking about the site made the adrenaline in Kajitori's veins begin pumping, but he kept it down for the sake of the possible fight that was about to erupt.
He risked a glance back to see his prey giving a pained, pleading gaze through those mesmerizingly deep hazel eyes as he shifted uncomfortably in Kajitori's grip. Perhaps he could get a good fight and a late-night partner or two out of this meeting.

There were so many things about this unknown man that tried with Kuma’s patience that he couldn’t even begin to try to figure all of them out. He was angry, indeed, but moreso he was concerned for Kogitsune, who was merely sitting and staring with that wide-eyed, confused expression that was almost heart-melting to look at. As it was, he found himself distracted, torn between scolding the idiot before him and reassuring the bewildered Hoshi-nin that everything was quite under control. In the end, displeasure and anger won out, though he still wished dearly to comfort his not-quite lover, if only to diffuse some of the tension in the situation. However, as countless interactions with other shinobi, valid and his nuke-nin kinsmen alike, had taught him, posturing was something that every ninja had to do from time to time, and it was fairly obvious that the red-haired jackass was attempting to project a smooth attitude to take control of the situation.
The comment went unnoticed, or rather, it sparked no reaction in the ex-medic, though the man’s actions were much more infuriating. So much pride! It was almost enough to make him gag, but then again, he had known much worse before, back in Kumogakure. That didn’t excuse the previous actions though, and Kuma had every intention of berating the man until he felt better, though whether the punishment would be verbally or physically he hadn’t decided yet. As the man dared to touch the tip of his weapon, he yanked it back none too gently, almost catching a few gloved fingers in the process.
Protests from the shopkeep interrupted his rapidly-growing-violent thoughts, and he nodded curtly, bringing Kotetsushojou back into a resting position. It was simple enough to re-secure the weapon to his back, and a moment later he looked almost respectable once again, instead of a crazed madman who went around threatening random men in restaurants. However, all thoughts of civility drained away as soon as he saw the redhead grab ahold of Kogitsune. The surprise and sudden pained look in those wide eyes was enough to convince him to drop his charade for a short while, even if it meant getting questioned by Konoha authorities.
Chakra flooded into his palm, and as he clamped down on the man’s arm, he let it explode outward into the flesh beneath his fingers. It wasn’t something that he generally found useful for purposes such as battling, but of course there was a time and a place for everything. Anesthetics were rare outside of hospital settings, and he supposed it had never really occurred to him to use them to his advantage. As he noticed the forceful grip on Ko’s arm weakening, he placed a hand on the Hoshi-nin’s shoulder, fingertips grazing the bared skin of his throat and shoulder ever so slightly.
“As I have so humbly stated before, this man does not wish to go with you. Release him. Now ,” he hissed, eyes narrowed and full of exquisitely controlled rage.[/blockquote]

Before Kajitori could take a step with his captured prize of the moment, he felt a weight on his shoulder before every muscle in his arm went numb, causing him to lose his grip on the Hoshi-nin and turn his fiery green gaze to the man whom he had now discovered to be a medic. The other's hand was clamped onto his shoulder, and a disgusted glare burned in his eyes as he continued to pester Kajitori about his lover, and much to Kajitori's disdain, his numbed limb released his grip on his prey and fell to his side. Shit...
There was no way that Kajitori was going to be brushed off like this, especially not in front of the swarms of curious onlookers who murmured under their breaths about the three. And the shopkeeper seemed to be getting a little more than ticked off at the sight of a possible match brewing in front of his little stand. There were three options: Run. Forfeit. Fight.
Kajitori preferred the latter.
The nuke-nin felt the familiar ebb of chakra creep down the length of his arm and into his finger tips. With a small smile, he slowly flipped his good arm palm-upwards and swiped it sideways at the medic. The chakra kicked the air around him into overdrive and formed it into a weapon. Dodge this, Mr. High-and-Mighty. Kaze no Yaiba!

Finally the jackass had let the Hoshi-nin go, and seconds later Kuma had placed himself between the two, gently shoving Kogitsune out of harm’s way. The man had been overly aggressive, and even with one of his arms out of commission for a while, the medic wasn’t entirely sure that he wouldn’t try anything else. It was rare for him to care so deeply about such a seemingly petty confrontation, but it was his lover that was be accosted and he certainly wasn’t going to stand for that. He was going to berate the other man some more, but suddenly the tell-tale tingle of chakra in the air made him stop. Without thinking he jerked Kogitsune aside, throwing him rather harshly away as he turned to meet whatever the red-haired man was thinking of doing.
A spray of red heralded an invisible assault, and any words that he was going to utter died in his throat. Face contorted in surprise, he was momentarily stunned; who in their right mind would actually attack a man in the middle of the street, in front of so many witnesses. As the pain struck, however he was momentarily blinded, falling backwards and crumpling in on himself. However, it was mitigated by the sudden flare of chakra to his midsection, skin, bone, and muscle knitting themselves back together almost instantly under the energy’s coaxing. The blood though…it was everywhere, staining his ruined jacket, the dusty ground, even splattered upon the man that he had strove to protect, and a cry went up from the crowd at the sight.
That was the last thing that he needed right now; he couldn’t deal with the ANBU and medic-nin that would surly be dispatched to the area, especially not in his current condition. However, it was a wound that needed to be repaid, if only for his own pride. Still curled up as if grievously injured, Kuma tucked his hands closer, hiding the handseals he was forming from view. Though his vision was obscured by the dirt and blood covering his glasses, he lashed one hand out towards the redhead’s ankle, fully intending on numbing his entire body until the proper authorities could deal with him. "Kuma-san!" the young man half-whispered, half-called in a melodic tone that confused Kajitori as the medic crumpled to the ground. How could such a quiet voice be able to raise above a whisper? It defied all logic to him, but he supposed now that he had heard it, it could be done.
Then something finally registered. Kuma... Kuma... Hnn... Where had he heard that name before...? He was pretty sure that one of his old friends mentioned something similar, but it wasn't simply "Kuma."
He began tumbling names through his head, trying to find the one that fit, but he was distracted by the medic stretching his hand out and merely hopped onto the bar stool and rested his chin on his knees as he thought... then it hit him.
He made a fist with one hand and hit it into the open palm of his other. "Ah! Kumataka from Kumogakure, right?" he asked innocently, cocking his head to the side before glancing down at the thin, lanky man that was doubled over in bloody pain. "Huh. thought you'd be stronger than this. After all, you treated one of my friends before you ran away from your village in a huff 'cause they caught you treating nuke-nin like us, right?" He was talking more to himself, but he didn't mind being eavesdropped on.
Shock was now apparent on the uke's face as he swallowed dryly and stared at the wounded man. "Kuma... taka...?"

“Ahn,” the worry in his lover’s voice…it was almost enough to make his heart break, and he smiled weakly up at the soft-eyed man, trying to reassure him that everything would be alright. There was a distinct pang of guilt that was troubling him, and he hated to see the other man so confused and vulnerable. However, all thoughts fled from his mind as the godsbedamned idiot suddenly let out an exclamation, that was absolutely uncalled for and completely and utterly out of line. How long had it been since he had heard that name from someone other then an ANBU? He didn’t care to ponder the fact, not with the barbarian spouting off facts without a care in the world. Names, information, even Kumogakure no Sato…
That was certainly not something that needed to be brought up in the middle of a crowded street, and with Herculean effort the brown eyed man managed to push himself off the ground, wincing slightly. It was always a bit painful after new flesh had been regenerated, the areas tender until they managed to toughen up a bit, but there was no way that he was going to allow a bit of discomfort to ruin absolutely everything that he had already worked for in the village. Without any concern as to the crowd that had gathered around them, he grabbed both men, dragging them along through the suddenly packed street until he managed to turn onto the side road that held the inn that he was currently staying at.
If the worker at the front desk had any questions or complaints about the state of any of the three, she managed to keep her curiosity under check, which was probably the best possible thing at the moment. The nuke-nin was in no mood to exchange pleasantries with anyone at the moment, and with a bit of effort he managed to unlock the door to his room and roughly push the redhead in, with Kogitsune followed closely behind, albeit much more gently. As soon as the door was locked behind him, exhaustion began to creep into his weary limbs, brought about by bloodloss and extreme exertion.
With a heavy sigh, he let one arm drape around the Hoshi-nin’s waist, then summarily proceeded to drag the other man down with him as he collapsed onto the bed, drawing Kogitsune’s head close to his chest, one hand entwined in his soft hair. In light of the recent events, he didn’t feel safe allowing the other man out of his sight, though he would be the first to admit that he just needed someone with him after such a mildly traumatic event. Despite it all, his tone and expression were still harsh, and there was a tinge of bitterness and defeat in his voice. “What do you want?” [/blockquote]

Huh? What was going on?
Kogitsune was stunned, to say the least. He sat, staring blankly at the shocked medic, and zoned out to allow his thoughts to sort out. He found that it helped when the setting was... quieter than the now-filling streets, but he wasn't all that sure that the people would leave them alone or be quiet long enough for him to make sense of all of this.
But, thankfully, Kuma - Kumataka, he reminded himself - lead the two of them to hotel room...
Kogitsune's cheeks flushed brilliantly at the memories of their last shared hotel visit... then something slapped him across the face. Wait... does that mean...?
He slowly glanced over to the redhead being dragged along with him only to find that the man had a snide smirk and a keen glisten in his emerald eyes that was the tell-tale sign of a conceited man with the same thought that Kogitsune himself had just had. The Hoshi-nin swallowed, some of the mucus built up from his constant sickness making him softly cough as it entered his esophagus. There was absolutely no way that he was going to engage in that act with the newly-found man.
Kajitori was tossed into the room, and Kogitsune guessed that he wasn't expecting it, so the man did a perfect faceplant and layed there for a few moments before sitting up and rubbing his nose while Kogitsune was lightly shoved in behind him.
He heard the door to the room click, and worry crossed the Hoshi-nin's face as Kumataka sighed and wrapped an arm around his waist, then Kogitsune let out a soft wail of surprise when he was half-pulled onto the bed.
Kogitsune realized that, if what Kajitori was telling the truth, he was locked in a room with two criminals that had strayed from their villages after committing villainous acts... but, for some reason, he felt completely secure with his head on his almost-lover's chest. When he turned his head upwards and felt the other's long fingers graze his scalp, he shivered and let out a soft, "Naah..." before curling in on himself and closing his eyes. He had no idea what had just happened, but he did know that he loved it.
Kogitsune settled his head into Kumataka's warm lap and adjusted himself until he was comfortable and completely relaxed as he listened to the confused voice of the nuke-nin that was now sitting Indian-style on the floor.
"What are you talking about? You're the one that brought me here! I'm curious as to what you want now." There was a malice in his voice that unsettled the Hoshi-nin as he shifted slightly and rubbed his head against Kumataka's hand for the tingle of pleasure from before.

Ah, the sounds that the Hoshi-nin made were utterly irresistible, and Kuma found himself smiling softly, despite the current situation. Leave it to Kogitsune to relax in such tense times, and he let one hand wander down to the man’s hair, stroking softly as he observed the now-upright figure in front of him. It had been a split-second decision to bring the other two here, and he was entirely sure that the lady at the front desk was going to look at him strangely for the rest of his stay, but it was the only place in the village that he knew would be relatively private. Or at least private enough to conduct affairs, he surmised. After a moment, the long haired man had decided to speak, and the medic listened with a half-distracted ear.
The question was inane, and the corner of Kuma’s eye twitched slightly, exasperation and annoyance evident in his polite and formal demeanor, which was entirely forced of course. The mere fact that the man had been able to identify him, even after all the months he had been gone from Kumogakure, meant one of two things: either he had just locked himself in a room with an undercover hunter-nin, or instead he had just locked himself in a room with a wanted criminal. The latter seemed to be much more likely, especially with the other’s words previously, and he almost felt himself buying into the ‘violent and unstable’ stereotype of nuke-nin when he looked at the redhead. The man had attacked him with intent to kill in the middle of a busy street, which obviously meant that he was foolish, prideful, or a horrid combination of both, but it seemed that there was a bit more malevolent intelligence behind the man’s words, or at least that had been what he had assumed previously.
“There is obviously an ulterior motive to your actions, be it malicious or just plain annoying, or you would not bring up such…things so wantonly,” came the stiff reply, the words as formal as ever. It had been quite some time since the last occasion where he had had to speak so properly, and it seemed that old conditioning and habits died hard. It had always been a matter of dancing around things in the hospital, and he had quickly learned that those that showed the utmost respect to the head healers were usually granted requests with much less difficulty than those who didn’t chose to brown-nose. While he had hated doing it, playing the obedient and polite underling had allowed him to rise rather quickly throughout the ranks, coupled with a rather peerless skill in dealing with patients, of course. He knew how to act around those with large egos, and while his patience for such foolishness had diminished, his memories had not. “I will ask again. What. Do. You. Want. If it is money, I can assure you that whatever I have is yours. I want no quarrel here, sir.” [/blockquote]

Kogitsune felt like he was absolutely, positively melting beneath Kumataka's soft fingers as they twisted through his messy locks. He was almost sure that he was going to become a little puddle of Hoshi-nin on the bed, but when he didn't, he settled for letting out another hum of contentedness. A hint of a smile ghosted his features, and he breathed deeply to further relax himself and escape from the tortures of the heated atmosphere around him.
"You give me too much credit... though I do appreciate it," the redhead laughed, conceitedness slurring his words. "You attacked me confidence, and I wasn't about to go down without a fight. No one insults the Bloody Phoenix like that and gets away with it without a few burns." There was a slight pause, but Kogitsune's eyes were still closed, so he couldn't tell exactly what the man was doing. "But I think I just scratched you, so feel lucky, 'Kuma-san.' What a lame nickname."
The smile dropped and was replaced by his cheeks flushing a bright pink, and he nuzzled further into Kumataka's lap to hide his embarrassment.
"Huh? Money? Why would I want that? I just steal what I need. I wouldn't stoop so low as to take from my own brothers. All I wanted was your little boyfriend to myself for a few hours, then he'd be all yours again. I don't do the whole f*ck-and-stay thing, and there's no way that anyone would catch me dead spooning. I just hit and run. No sense in defying my grandfather's teachings, right?"
Kogitsune felt his cheeks burn again, and he opened his eyes to give an apologetic look as his nipped his own lip to the medic. Almost mechanically, he sat back up and broke from his personal Heaven to lightly kiss his lover's lips, which shut the nuke-nin on the floor up so that he could watch the spectacle. "M-my apologies, Kumataka-san..."

Insult? Che, how very typical of one with a horribly inflated ego to think of an intervention as such. He hadn’t minded dealing the injured nuke-nin back in Kumogakure, but the wild ones were rather beyond his understanding. How a person could find pleasure in attacking, even killing, innocent civilians and shinobi was entirely perplexing, not to mention strange. It was severely hypocritical of Kuma to think so, but he knew that there was a distinct difference between his actions and those of other criminals. After all, his killing was undeniably compulsive, brought upon by a distinct overload of stress and a resulting mental breakdown, not egotistical psychosis like the man before him seemed to possess.
His brows furrowed for a moment, eyes darkening with displeasure, but it was at that point that Kogitsune had chosen to start squirming, effectively distracting his lover from unleashing the tirade of berating insults that he had been preparing. The medic’s gaze softened a bit, and he traced the pad of his thumb over the resting man’s cheek, allowing himself to be momentarily distracted before the idiot in front of him continued.
There was more talking, and Kuma felt the annoyed twitch returning, much to his displeasure. With his free hand he reached up to try to steady himself, but it was to no avail, the redhead’s flippant words were too obnoxious for him to calm down. Just the mere fact that he had thought of laying hands on the Hoshi-nin was upsetting, but his godsdamn attitude about it made the medic want to hit him, if only to shut him up momentarily. Normally he wouldn’t have condoned violence against another, but the nuke-nin was rapidly growing fed up with the cocky, not to mention rude, garbage that was spilling from the other criminal’s mouth.
“I am not your brother you arrogant, pompous-” Once again Kogitsune seemed to have a natural talent for diffusing the situation. Kuma’s words died in his throat as lips brushed against his own, and he hummed softly as a soft apology rang out in the sudden quiet.
“No, no, you’ve done nothing wrong,” he murmured, entirely aware that the entire scene was on show for the lecher sitting right across the room. Odd, he would have never though he would be the jealous type, but then again, he would never have thought he would be in a situation even remotely similar to the current goings-on. Life worked rather strangely, it seemed. “Absolutely nothing.”
He ran one hand down the Hoshi-nin’s face, then gently pushed a few locks of chocolate hair out of the way, exposing the pale skin of his neck. With a slow, deliberate movement, he grazed his lips down the flesh, then, with gaze entirely focused on the other nuke-nin, bit down. His eyes were narrowed, and though his expression was half-hidden, the intent was all too clear.
Mine.

Free porn? Kajitori thought to himself as he cocked his head to the side and watched Kumataka and Kogitsune share the tender moment. As much as he lusted to be a part of their love-fest, he was more than sure that the brunettes would not let him near their sphere, so he lifted one leg up to rest his chin on while his arms wrapped around the limb so that he would be comfortable for the upcoming show.
He hummed lightly in anticipation as the other nuke-nin spoke quietly, though loud enough so that the Phoenix could hear the sweet words that lulled the Hoshi-nin into even more security than he had been previously in when he was being petted like a tamed cat. Make out, make out, make out, Kajitori cheered in his head, but was just as pleased with the next action that the medic took.
As he bit the obviously uke's neck, the man pulled his own shoulder down and careened his head to stretch the exposed skin. He gasped a moan, and one hand wrapped around the medic's waist while the other grasped at Kumataka's head.
"Kinky," he mouthed, allowing a demented smile to play on his lips as his eyebrows twitched to accent his word.
Hold on a second. A sudden pang of realization hit the nuke-nin. Although Kumataka's was lighter, both men had similar hair colors... similar eye shapes, though they were different hues... gorgeous pale skin... "Have you noticed that you two look like brothers or something?" Kajitori blurted out.

Hrm, not bad. As he let his mouth slip away, Kuma was pleased to notice a small, yet quite obvious, red mark that stood out quite well against the alabaster skin. He hummed, pleased with himself, then let he gaze wander over to the redheaded shinobi across the room, eyes narrowing in displeasure. It was obvious that he was the superior in this situation, and yet the other man simply refused to back down. Obnoxious and entirely out of place, and the medic knew that he would simply have to take control back.
The Hoshi-nin moaned, the noise bringing a small, satisfied, grin to Kuma’s lips, and he merely nuzzled the side of his lover’s neck, nipping once again for good measure before pulling away and looking over at the other nuke-nin with a self-satisfied smirk. The man’s eyes had gone wide for a moment, and suddenly he brought up a rather distressing question, one which caused Kuma to stop for a moment to ponder. He looked thoughtful for a moment, then, as if suddenly realizing something he gave a wicked look to the other.
“Perhaps,” he smiled, his tone pleasant despite the coldness within his eyes. One hand traced down Kogitsune’s chest, his fingers playing gently across the material of his vest, making patterns on the dull grey material. There was an unspoken tension within the air, the medic’s actions challenging the other nuke-nin’s superiority. A pang of jealousy had been struck within his chest, and he felt the need to exert his dominance over the situation, if only to put the other criminal in his place. He was most certainly in control of the room at this point, and he wanted nothing more than to crush that smug sense of entitlement that the man across the room exerted. “Who can really say anyhow?”
With that he let his arm wind around Kogitsune’s waist, pulling him closer until he was summarily upon the medic’s lap, limbs entangled with Kuma’s own. The dark-eyed man sent a warning glare over his lover’s shoulder, once again marking his possession of the man in his arms, eyes cold and almost daring his new rival to even try something.
Try again and I’ll kill you.

Kogitsune's flesh was positively burning, both from passion and embarrassment. His body was securely pressed against Kumataka's, and a light stinging pulsed from his neck, though it wasn't unwanted. His legs wrapped themselves around the nuke-nin's waist, and even though the freshly-upturned fact that the man was indeed a village traitor played in the back of his mind, he couldn't help but feel safe while locked in this position. He knew that Kumataka was a nuke-nin because of the hitai-ate that fell out of the other's pocket when they first met...
The Hoshi-nin felt blood pooling in his cheeks, causing his skin to redden even more. He pressed his forehead into the soft muscle between Kumataka's neck and shoulder and squeezed his eyes shut at the blissful memory. He couldn't allow himself to feel those emotions while in the presence of another man, especially after the one in question had expressed interest in Kogitsune himself. Of course the feelings were completely geared towards Kumataka, but they were still... well, embarrassing.
He had never been one to publicly display emotions of love, even when he was with Hakuhoshi. The two had a secret love because they were afraid to be found out and ridiculed, but after his lover passed on, he accidentally spilled, but no one said anything negative about the two of them. Would people look at the two of them like they had when he was with his ex-lover?
Kogitsune glanced between locks of dark hair and adjusted himself until he could see his new lover's face while still in the comfortable position. Would Kumataka even be able to visit his home so that he could meet Kogitsune's family?
"As much as I'd like to stay, I'd rather save my own ass than watch you and your brother or whatever f*ck," the redheaded man yawned and shuffled to stand, and Kogitsune loosened. It seemed that they were safe for now. "But if you need me, I'll be more than happy to... help. Just look for me. You should get out of here, too." There was a thud of metal-on-wood, and then when Kogitsune turned to face him, all he saw was a small brown bag tied closed with a leather string.
