Well, wasn't this all just turning out to be peachy? She'd just gotten back from Tanzaku with Jiraiya, which had been an eventful time nonetheless, and with the masquerade festival coming up, she'd already been loaded by the skipped paperwork she'd left poor Shizune with. Of course, now Sakura and Tenten had come in dragging a man - Tenten leaving once they had made it to the office, as Tenten had only been there to aid Sakura in carrying him - whom Tsunade neither recognized nor could find in any bingo book she had. He wasn't a Konoha-nin, obviously, but from the looks of the wound on Sakura's shoulder, he obviously knew a few abilities she herself did.
And then, Sakura had explained the situation. She'd been out on her herb-picking duties, and after mentioning something or other - that something which she didn't know - he'd attacked her, and only luck had seemed to save her from death. Then, of course, she'd exploded the man with her genuinely lethal Sakura Fubuki no Jutsu. Tsunade admired her skill; not only was she a Taijutsu guru, as well as a med-nin - and a proficient one at that, for her age - but she could cope without using her Taijutsu as well. It made Tsunade proud to be her teacher. Sakura had then left to take care of her shoulder wound as best as she could, leaving Tsunade to deal with the man.
And it was exactly the reason she stood, in an open jail cell, with a man who was out cold and had more than just a few broken bones. She was working her magic trying to fix the bones as best as she could, because if he became a pain in the ass, she could just break them again. Of course, it was surely a good thing he was out cold; the feeling of Tsunade using her chakra to snap his ribs back into place probably wasn't the best feeling of them all. She'd also removed a few small glass shards from his face, told by the glasses that Sakura had left behind. She'd say they were his... And Tsunade had sent Shizune to have them fixed up as soon as possible.
Once he seemed to be in a rather healthier condition, now it was time for Tsunade to wait for him to come to. Roughly she kicked at his ankle with her heel, not with any chakra, but enough to perhaps cause him a bit of pain and wake up. His arms were chained above his head, and his ankles were also chained to the wall. He wouldn't be getting anywhere easily, that was for sure, at least, not with Tsunade there to kill him with a single hit if need be. She didn't want to kill him, however; she wanted to know his motives. Sakura never projected an air of hostility towards anyone, so what reason would this man have to attack the girl? She was a sweet one at that, and quite friendly when the time came for it, but something had set him off. Something about her, or something that she had said. Perhaps her name? Even Tsunade couldn't put her finger on it.
"Goddamn it, wake up already, you lard..." she muttered, leaning against the bars as if she were bored. She wasn't in reach of any possible attacks, she hoped, and it wasn't like the man could bring his hands together to form seals. Besides, without that, as well as the distance between them and the fact that he'd had any weapons removed from his persona, he wouldn't be getting anywhere any time soon. The only things he had left were his clothes and his glasses, and that was all Tsunade was going to allow him to have. She wasn't stupid, after all.

There was nothing.
Nothing.
Nothing.
Nothing.
No-PAIN
A spark of agony shot down Kuma's leg, and he jerked at the sensation, eyes flying open then shutting almost as quickly. The light hurt his head, and he wasn't entirely sure where he was.
He moaned softly, blinking to clear the darkness before his eyes, but Kuma couldn’t quite will his body to work. There was a tingling numbness in his hands, and he shifted, trying to work some sensation back into them. All that he was met with was a cold jerking, and he momentarily panicked, trying to pull away from whatever was holding him back. His attempts were utter failures, and instead he tried to stand; again he was prevented from completing the action by a rather immovable force clamped around his legs. There was a distinct metallic rattling, and suddenly it clicked. Chains. He was chained up. What in the hell had happened?
“What..what’s…eh…?” Cognitive thought hadn’t returned quite yet, and he looked over at the other figure in the cell. It was obviously female and she was…oh dear. He tried not to stare, but her chest was absolutely ridiculously large, so much so that it was almost frightening. It wasn’t as if he had an issues with women, he wasn’t even afraid of them like some members of his persuasion were, but that just looked terribly painful, and Kuma wondered for a moment if she had lower back problems. His curiosity as a doctor had been sparked, despite the situation, but after a moment he shook his head, putting the thought out of mind. It was more important to figure out what was going on and how to get out of it than to ponder about the certain blessing/curses of another’s anatomy. That and fix the pain in his ankle, it was really starting to ache; though he couldn’t reach down to fix the bruising flesh, chakra flared to the site of the injury, soothing his discomfort, and he let out a sigh of relief before letting his eyes slip closed once again.
His head hurt something dreadfully, and he couldn’t quite remember what had been going on, suffice to say it probably hadn’t been anything good. After all, he wouldn’t be restrained if things had been rather okay…or would he have? That thought was rather disturbing, and he shuddered to think what the implications of that would be. “Ngh…”

Tsunade stood quietly as the man seemed to wake up, stopping herself from kicking lightly at his ankle again. Sure, she could be mean at times, but people needed it, didn't they? Whatever. She didn't really care. She was more pissed off at the fact that he'd attacked her own student so spontaneously, and perhaps if the girl were here he'd remember a little more. From what she could tell, he looked rather confused, probably about the reason he was stuck here. She pretended not to notice as he was staring at her voluptuously large chest; she could deal with that if need be.
As if her half-prayers were answered, a young rose-haired kunoichi walked into the room. That would be good; Sakura could aid in the interrogation, because she'd been involved in the skirmish itself. Perhaps he would remember with her coming. As if they were a party now, Tsunade pushed herself off of leaning against the bars - the door of the cell open to allow those who weren't chained to pass - and walked over to stand directly in front of the man. Ominously her heels clicked against the floor, a dark sound in the middle of the silence.
"So what exactly is your problem, sir, that you would dare to attack my student?" Tsunade snapped, her voice much less than friendly. If anything, it was harsh and cold, the way she was supposed to be in these situations. She glanced over to Sakura, who looked to be rather angered, but seemed to be feeling slightly sorry for the chained man. Tsunade showed no sympathy at all. "Such a lowly move to be expected from a nukenin. I hate nukenins." There was a gentle rap at the door, from Shizune, with a message. Had she found something? Shizune handed the scroll to Sakura, whom then handed it to Tsunade. Quiet now, she quickly skimmed over the contents.
"Araiyajuu Kumataka, is it?" Tsunade snapped, rolling up the scroll and handing it back to Sakura. "Former Kumogakure med-nin, are you? I'd think you'd be able to respect someone from Konohagakure no Sato, especially one who claimed herself to be a student of the Hokage and Legendary Sannin Tsunade. Don't tell me you haven't heard of my name, otherwise it's complete bullshit," she spat, barely noticing that Sakura recoiled behind her. Had she really cared about how the Chuunin might've felt about the situation, she would have probably noticed the sympathetic look projected towards the man; Sakura obviously felt sympathy for his being snapped at by Tsunade. Sakura knew only a little too well how harsh the woman could be if she wanted.
"So now, how about I quiet down and you explain yourself. I might just consider not breaking every bone in your godforsaken body."

The world was still out of focus, and it took a moment for Kuma to register that the same mess of pink that he had previously encountered was currently residing behind his tormenter, and a flash of anger, shame, and sheer malice shot through him. As if acting on his own, he lurched forward, stopped by his restraints, but glowering at the kunoichi none the less. His name was spoken, but it was as if it belonged to someone else; it had been so long since someone had addressed him as such, and the name felt foreign and bizarre. More posturing, and this time titles had been broken out, both intriguing and entirely ridiculous in one. The Hokage, eh? A medical shinobi? Unheard of, entirely unheard of, but there she was, glowering right back at him and throwing frivolous threats and nonsensical information at him in a very short span of time. He wished he could just pass her aside, her attire certainly made her look like a fool, but as the single strongest shinobi in the village she demanded respect. Or rather, she demanded respect in normal citizens; Kuma felt nothing but hateful contempt.
“You’re all the same, all f*cking hypocrites like that,” came an acidic mutter, chains rattling as the nuke-nin tried to throw his body forward. It was a fruitless gesture, and he was summarily yanked back, the cold metal biting painfully into his wrists. He wanted to spit, to scream, anything to express the utter distain that he felt for the two figures before him, but nothing seemed to be horrible enough. The “legendary sannin”, feh, like he gave half a f*ck about that title; here she was, a supposed genius in the medical field, threatening someone with bodily harm. And her prejudice! It was just the same as in Kumogakure no Sato…it made him sick to think about it.
“Here you are, a bloody medical shinobi, threatening someone who has nothing to do with you. You all and your attitudes towards these criminals…you’re disgusting.” He was livid, half-raving with anger, though his tone was carefully controlled, yet full of a deadly chill. It was Kumogakure all over again, but this time the feelings of regret, of despair, of shame…they were all absent, and in the void that they once filled was nothing but white hot rage directed at the two women across from him. There was nothing he could do, short of breaking his hands and ankles, to remove himself from his bound and prone position, but there was nothing to still his tongue, and despite the fact that it was a horrible time to spark a fight, he couldn’t help it. If it were up to the nuke-nin, the pink girl would have suffered little and she wouldn’t have been missed; now a shinobi of much higher calibur had been dragged into the fray, and he still couldn’t help himself. There would have been nothing better than to take care of her as well, even though it was utterly impossible in such a situation. “You make me sick .”[/blockquote]

This man was already getting to her in a way that, for most people, was absolutely dangerous. Never in one's lifetime is it a smart thing to piss off Tsunade, not when her abilities outrank yours - for the most part - nor when you're chained to a wall and at her mercy as the Hokage. Sakura seemed to recoil at the man's words, but Tsunade didn't. Mentally, she was laughing.
"It became my problem the moment you attacked one of my shinobi." she spat, her voice acidic and harsh. "You're ever so lucky she's got a heart, because had it been one of our ANBU, you wouldn't be living anymore. You should be happy it was Sakura you encountered. She could easily have killed you." While Tsunade seemed more or less calm, she was much less than that. She was angered. Pissed. How dare he call her a hypocrite? It wasn't right, not right at all. And when Tsunade was pissed, things tended to get nasty.
Now it was time to teach him a lesson. She walked up, casually, as if she were going to help him, but... Her motives were much different. She stopped once she knew she was within range, and the moment she thought she was ready, her hand flew back across her torso and tore forward, very little chakra behind it, and slammed clean into his face, the force knocking his glasses clear off of his face and fracturing his cheekbone from the chakra. It would be painful, not to mention he would be blind.
The moment Tsunade backhanded the man across the face, Sakura was shocked. Instinct caught her as her hand shot out, catching the glasses in midair to keep them from smashing against the wall or floor and shattering to pieces. It was the least she could do, because from what Tsunade's attitude looked to be at the moment, she was about to be left with the dirty work.
"How dare you speak such words to my face. Sakura, you handle this. Perhaps you'll have better luck than I." With that, Tsunade strode out of the room, her heels clicking angrily, leaving Sakura and Kuma alone in the quiet cell.
So it was left to her now, was it? Well, that was... Somewhat good. Looking at the glasses in her hand, she walked over and carefully replaced them on his face, a kind gesture from her. Stepping back, she took herself a position and knelt down on the floor, so as to be at more of an eye level with him. She knew how irritating it could be to have to look up to talk to someone, because she wasn't exactly tall herself. Most people tended to have to look down to speak to her...
"You really... Shouldn't have pissed her off like that," Sakura said, her voice shaky and a little fearful. She knew exactly what the woman could be like when angry. "I'm not going to snap like she did... I think she was being a little overly harsh, but that's Shishou-sama..." Sakura paused, quiet for a moment. How exactly could she breach the situation without sounding mean, or perhaps even provoking one of Kuma's vulgar comments? It wasn't going to be easy, but Sakura had confidence in herself.
"Kuma... Why'd you attack me? I did nothing, really... If it's something to do with Kumogakure no Sato, then I assure you... We're not all like that. From the way I was listening, it sounds like something to do with the medical shinobi of Kumogakure. Tsunade's actions... It's her personality. She's tough, harsh, and sometimes rather stubborn, but really, once you're on her good side, she's not half-bad. But please. I don't even understand what I might've said that gave you the motive to kill me. You mentioned... medical shinobi. Is it because I'm a medical shinobi?" She hoped he would answer her, because it wouldn't be a good thing if he didn't. She was going to avoid using physical force to get answers out of him if at all possible... She would stick to being genuinely and truthfully kind to him, simply because it was her nature.
