Another failed stalk (open)

Hinata trudged back and forth be hide the small barrier of trees', the only reason she had some to Tanzaku town was because she had heard Naruto might be there but so far she hadn't seen him. There were tons of rumors that he had arrived back to Konoha and though Hinata tried countless times to try and welcome him back or even get a look at his smiling face, she managed to fail every time.

"N-naruto" Hinata spoke softly to herself, even thinking about the boy made her cheeks flush a soft pink. By now it was obvious the rumors weren't true and so instead of waiting for him to arrive she decided to walk around the town.

There were no clouds in the sky to shade her from the warmth of the sun, that caused to sweat Little, then again her baggy jacket didn't help either. as tempted as she was Hinata would never take off her jacket, without it she felt exposed.

Keeping her gaze upon the ground, Hinata slowly tried to dodge any passing people while avoiding eye contact. Though it was much harder than it looked, accidentally she knocked shoulders with one person that sent her flying to wards another knocking them down upon the floor.

Her pale complexion turned beetroot red and she began to apologize over and over and over again. "S-Sorry, here let me help y-you" Hinata replied picking up the few pieces of fruit that had rolled out from their bags.

[Kiba Inuzuka]

Just as Hinata was done helping the person picking up the fruit back into their bag, A large figure sat down in front of her and glanced down, and without warning...gave Hinata a big lick on the face, It was Akamaru...

"What in the world are you doing Hinata? People usually like to keep their fruit inside their grocery bags, not on the ground." Kiba called out, jokingly. The boy hadn't seen the whole thing, but he really didn't have to guess more than once to figure out what happened. "Your eyes were on the ground and you ran into someone didn't you?"

"Happens to me too...Whats up?" Kiba asked, trying to figure out what was running through his Hyuuga teammate's head.

Hinata finished up picking the fruit and handed the brown bag back to the villager, not without apologizing again. Just as she was about to walk off quietly again she was caught off by something wet across her face. Hinata didn't say a word instead stood there alittle shocked til it finally registered in her mind. "Kiba-kun" she smiled warmly.

Hinata kneeled down and stroked Akamaru's fur and scratched the back of his ears. It was so almost hard to believe that a dog so lovable as Akamaru fought with Kiba.

Standing back up, her eyes slowly moved to Kiba's as she awkwardly shuffled her feet and fiddled with her finger's. "I g-guess so" she stuttered before looking down back to the ground. "But it was by accident"

whats up? Hinata froze as she felt her face turn red again, remembering why she actually came to the town today. "N-nothing" she replied quickly while fiddling with her fingers again. "Whats up with Kiba-kun?"

[Kiba Inuzuka]

Kiba chuckled slightly and shook his head a little as Hinata petted Akamaru. "Oh yeah, by accident of course...Its not like I plowing into anyone on purpose." He said with a laugh. Kiba then looked to see the finger twiddle, something Hinata normally did when she was nervous or not sure what to say. "What in the world has gotten into her now?" Kiba thought to himself.

Akamaru had a grin on his face as Hinata stroked his fur and scratched behind his ears. The big dog had always looked after the rest of the team, but always tried to find a way to cheer up Hinata when she was down, he simply had a place in his doggy heart for the Hyuuga girl.

"Nothing huh? Just wandering around town then?" Kiba asked lowly, smirking slightly. "I can understand that..." He added. "Not really...She's lost about something..." Kiba thought to himself.

"Huh? Oh well, I'm just out and about with Akamaru, have to pick up a few things in the market and go check on someone..." He said, blushing a little at the end of his statement. "Hana needed some groceries and that kind of stuff." Kiba said with a grin. It was more like he was going to get something to eat and then peek into the flowershop, but he didn't know if she knew about his relationship with Ino, so he left that part out.

"Yeah, so I'm not doing much myself..." Kiba added with a nervous laugh.

Hinata smiled lightly towards the Inuzuka boy, they were both completely different in so many ways yet she still found him to be one of her bestest friends, including Akamaru of course. Her eyes widened suddenly and she blushed lightly once more, a small smile pinching at the corner of her mouth. "Yeh, I-i got lost" she replied, thankful that Kiba actually gave her the excuse.

Hinata couldn't help but notice Kiba blush, which she found out of character, she had never really seen him go red, except from the occasional argument with Shino, but that was usually red with anger. "Who were you going to check on Kiba-kun?" Hinata asked quietly with a sweet tone, she didn't mean to pry but she had known Kiba long enough to know he was usually the nosy one.

Rubbing the tip of her sandal across the dirt ground, she lightly kicked a small pebble, just enough to turn it over as she waited for Kiba to reply.

Kiba grinned as Hinata was simply trying to get the point that she was lost across to him, not knowing how you could get lost in this place. He nearly laughed as she blushed and grinned back. Kiba saw Hinata as a good friend, someone that he knew wasn't the best with words against someone, but yet a person who his trust laid in.

The moment he heard Hinata ask who he was checking however, he acted just about how Hinata did. "Uhh...well..." He started off, blinking a bit, blushing again. "Well, its a friend who lives in the village..." Kiba said softly. "Duh...I'm sure she knows that..." Kiba thought to himself.

"Well, She doesn't know...should I?"

"I'm actually heading over to see what Ino was up to..." Kiba said with a small sigh of relief, getting it out there. "I was going to see how busy she was and how she was doing today." He said with a small grin. "Oh great...I wonder how she'll take this one..." Kiba thought to himself.

Kiba's beast eyes watched Hinata's and awaited to see what she'd say about this...

Hinata blinked towards Kiba as he began to blush and stutter, just as she usually did. "Kiba-Kun..?" she spoke almost worried at his sudden change, it was very unlike him which also made her wonder who he was going to see. does Kiba have a girlfriend? Hinata asked herself, trying to think of someone in the village Kiba might have a crush on or whoever might have a crush on him.

Before Hinata could even think of enough names, he had regained he cool and spoke it out for her. "Ino? Y-yamanaka Ino?" She repeated, letting the thought settle into her mind. Maybe i shouldn't jump to conlusions.. she thought to herself while shaking her head lightly, both Ino and Kiba were both very headstrong there was no way they'd get together, was there? .

"W-Why are you checking up on Ino? she asked politely, shifting her position to a more comfortable stand. "Does Kiba-kun like Ino?"

Kiba gave Hinata a toothy grin and quickly explained what was going on to Hinata. "Yeah, Its the same Ino you're thinking of." He said with a chuckle. "Well, you see...there's a long story behind that..." Kiba said lowly, going off into how he found her in the woods and hung out with her at the festival and even got her a few gifts.

After he was finished, Kiba blushed again and sighed, "I'm checking on her because I'm curious to see how she spends her day in that place, and I guess...yeah, I have a crush on her..." Kiba said lowly, sighing slightly.

Hinata listened to Kiba intently, she didn't want to miss anything because if there is a chance for Kiba and Ino then maybe there might be a chance for her and Naruto, nothing was impossible now. "Kiba-kun spend the night with Ino in the woods?" She spoke out loud more to herself then anyone else. "And bought her gifts?"

Hinata smiled brightly, locking her hands together she raised them to her chest and bounced up onto the soles of her feet excitedly, she was happy for Kiba. "T-Thats great Kiba-kun!"

Hinata knelt down once again smiled to wards Akamaru. "Isn't that great for Kiba?" she patted him before raising back up, it was nice to see team mate happy, which made her happy. And she was enjoying the new blushing Kiba, maybe now she would stand out less if Kiba-kun was blushing aswell.

Kiba blushed even darker red as Hinata was finally putting the pieces together, and laughed as she spoke out loud about the two hanging in the woods. "Ssh...you're only like the third person to know Hinata." Kiba whispered.

"Hehe, Thanks Hinata...its not a sure thing yet, I haven't really asked her out...I'm kinda nervous to." He explained. Akamaru let out a bark and panted happily, showing he too was happy for Kiba as Hinata talked to the big dog.

Kiba's blush started to wear away, but was still enough to tell over the red markings on his face.

Hinata flushed alitle, forgetting that she spoke alittle loud, well louder than her usual whispering voice. "Oh, Sorry Kiba." she spoke bringing a free hands to her mouth, pressing it against her lips lightly. "Who else knows?"

Hinata tried to imagine then together, though she never realized it they did seem to have same personalities almost, both competitive and alittle bossy and very stubborn, but they meant well. The only exception was that Kiba didn't care much for his looks, well not as much as Ino did. "I-I Think Kiba-kun should ask her out, I am sure she will say yes" Hinata smiled sweetly.

"don't let being nervous hold you back" Hinata looked down to the ground for a short moment, if it wasn't for her shyness she would of tried talking to her crush alot more, instead stalking him in the shadows.

"Kiba-kun should do it soon!"

[Kiba Inuzuka]

Kiba laughed nervously and scratched the back of his head, "Yeah, well...My sister knows, and I think one of the other guys may have overheard too." He said lowly. "But now you know and you've gotta keep it quiet ok?" He asked, knowing that he was talking to one of the quietest people he knew.

"You really think she'll say yes though Hinata? I mean look at who I've fallen for...A girl who can be so worried about her looks and shoves you off to the side." Kiba muttered. "But on the other hand, she's not as bad as people think either most times." He said. "I'm going to eventually, I just feel a little nervous."

"Don't let it hold me back..." Kiba grumbled. "Well, you're right...if I don't ever tell her how I feel, then I'll never know how she feels about me...so I'm going to do it today I think..." Kiba said bravely.

"If I don't get too nervous again..."

"Your sister knows?" Hinata repeated alittle stunned, she knew he was kinda close to his sister but something like this, it wasn't like Kiba to tell his sister about who he likes. "And yes Kiba-kun, I wont tell a soul." It was true, there was really no one she could tell anyway, except Shino and she doubted very much he would be interested. Anyhow, it wasn't like Hinata to gossip.

Hinata was quiet for a moment as she let her eyes drift to the floor. "I think she will." she repeated herself once again, she looked back up to him as he spoke of Ino's superficial side. "Well, its not what everyone else thinks, its what you think Kiba-kun" Hinata raised her tone alittle higher at an attempted to come off alittle stronger yet failed.

"Today?!" Hinata's smile grew as she clapped her hands together in joy.

"Yeah, My sister found out a few days ago, because well...I lost a bet to Ino and I had to work with her in the shop for a week." Kiba explained to Hinata. "But believe it or not, I had fun doing it, I learned a lot about flowers, and no matter what pointless job Ino had me do, I couldn't help but not look at her and grin."

"Yeah, you're right, Why should I care what everyone else thinks about her if I like her huh?" Kiba grumbled. He was actually kind of glad to run into Hinata and talk to her about this, it was definitely unexpected, but just what the doctor ordered for the boy's confidence. "Yep!! I'm gonna do it today...Its only right."

Playfully, Kiba nudged Hinata, "So how about you? Got an eye on someone? I always thought it'd be a certain blonde haired knucklehead that you always pass out seeing." He muttered, grinning jokingly.

Hinata laughed softly at the thought of her team mate in a flower shop, especially as she had seen him let Akamaru chew up tons of flowers. "Kiba in a flowershop." she giggled again. "Well Ino-chan is very pretty" Hinata interlinked her finger's together and pulled them up held to her chest.

"That's great."She smiled warmly, Hinata only wished she had the courage to tell Naruto how she felt but her shyness got in the way and the high risk of rejection. Naruto had always liked Sakura-chan in the academy, so there was always a high Chance he still liked her now. n-naruto..

hinata's thought's were interrupted by a soft nudge, she turned to Kiba, her face berry red as he described naruto. "N-naruto?!?" she stuttered waving her hands about in defense.I guess it really is that obvious.
