Standing at a mere 4'6" stature and weighing a very light 77 lbs, Sachiko's physical appearance gives the perfect look of a Genjutsu user. Being as young as she is, Sachiko doesn't possess much of a bodily figure to show off like most of the older girls do. She has been known to have a very angular bodily shape, with a very sharp, angled jawbone and high, prominent cheekbones. Her chin is rather pointed, and the forehead hidden under her bangs is considerably flat and featureless.

Sachiko's torso, much like her face, has very sharp and angular curves, with a fairly flat bosom that is rather reminiscent of, literally, an ironing board. Her prominent ribs which can be very easily made out from underneath her bare skin flow sharply into a thin waist and slender hips, as Sachiko has not fully entered into puberty just yet. Her limbs relatively follow the same sort of figure, with bony wrists and fingers as well as forearms, upper arms, thighs, and calves that possess little to no muscle at all. This constitutes for low physical strength and endurance for the poor girl, and often times she is considered "anorexic" due to her thin frame.

Distinguishing Marks:

A distinctive branded seal of the Riyuu clan on her left bicep, and a star-shaped birthmark just below the right half of her collarbone. As well, the Riyuu clan's traditional necklace is worn around her neck, embedded with a red quartz jewel. As well, once she activates her Naiteki Joukei, her eyes become completely sealed shut until it is ended.

Clothing:

Sachiko is often seen clad in the common, traditional garb of the Riyuu clan, which consists of a low-cut sleeved dress that is rather tight to her torso up until her waist. Once the dress reaches her waist, it fans outwards in a skirt that reaches to approximately her mid-thigh or so. On top of this odd-looking dress is a vest-like drape, with two sections each in the front and back, somewhat like a shawl. It has a high collar and an open front, and clips on to the dress to stay in place. Each of the sections are rectangular-shaped with a couple of triangular cut-out sections. Over either shoulder is a diamond-shaped piece of fabric that hangs down along her upper arm. The garment itself is a sort of white colour with a light-blue trim.

For leg-wear, Sachiko is often seen clad in a pair of dark-blue leggings, which are tight to her legs to allow for movement if need be. As for footwear, Sachiko often wears a pair of thin, lightweight boots rather than the common shinobi sandals, which reach to just above her ankles. These are the same shade of white as her dress, and have the same blue-trim style. Underneath the dress is where her shinobi holster is hidden, barely visible by anyone who looks at her from a first glance. As well, her hip pouch is situated on the back of her left hip, again underneath the dress, in order to give the impression that she might be unarmed. Her Suna headband is worn around her waist underneath her dress as well.

Sachiko's hairstyle is also quite unique to who she is. Her long, blonde locks are often let to flow freely down her back, reaching to about the top of her hips or so. Her bangs are spread out fairly evenly across her forehead, though they are a touch longer in the middle and at the sides. The sides of her bangs reach down to just past her jawbone, and seem to follow a natural curve forward. As well, her long hair is naturally straight, but flips underneath at the ends.

Personality:

Sachiko's personality is quite unique and strange, almost bipolar in a sense. When around people, Sachiko is said to be a very bubbly, slightly obnoxious, and overall happy person, running around with a smile plastered across her face. Considerably, Sachiko is also quite hyperactive when around people as well as optimistic, having learned to look at the bright side of a situation rather than the downsides of everything. Nonetheless, this is merely a facade for what the girl truly feels towards life and what she has gone through.

Once on her own, however, Sachiko becomes a much different preteen than what she seems to act like. When alone, Sachiko is often emotionless and almost robotic in her ways, her face absolutely flat and void of any sort of emotion. Nonetheless, this loneliness also tears her apart inside, as when she is alone, her memories tend to surface and attack her, in a sense, tearing her apart from the inside. As a result, Sachiko tries to spend as much of her time around people as possible in order for her to keep said memories from resurfacing to attack her once more.

In battle, Sachiko's persona is neither emotionless nor hyperactive. When tapping in to her memories in order to use her Genjutsu, Sachiko becomes somewhat of an emotional wreck, unable to keep herself in emotional check. Her emotions begin to go out of control, turning from that sad little girl to an angered young woman, back and forth as she draws upon the emotional, mental, and physical pain that she endured in her younger years. As well, afterwards Sachiko becomes a bit of an insomniac, unable to sleep because she has now tampered with those memories of hers.

History:

Sachiko was born into the very little-known Riyuu clan, a clan that lived just on the outskirts of Sunagakure no Sato. Sachiko's mother, Riyuu Fubuki, was a woman whose roots originated in the Hidden Sand, but had found serenity with a bloodline Riyuu man by the name of Riyuu Fuyu. At the time, Fubuki had no idea what sorts of troubles she was getting herself and her soon-to-be daughter into, but nonetheless believed that she loved the man which she had married. Not long after Sachiko's birth, she was put to the test with the Riyuu clan's bloody introduction ritual which would serve as a first "coming-of-age", in a sense, as by two Sachiko had enough chakra control to have awakened the sight portion of the Naiteki Joukei.

As the little toddler, only two at the time, clung to the leg of her mother's clothing, listening and watching in her mind's eye what what the supposedly harmless ritual was supposed to include, she was absolutely horrified at what they did. Fuyu knew all too well what had been in store for him, but Fubuki and Sachiko especially were appalled. After Fuyu was killed with one of the clan's sealing methods, the seal which would take his life, and then his body was drained of as much blood as was possible. Once the first part of the ritual itself was finished, and Fuyu's blood drained, Sachiko and Fubuki were taken to the clan's ritual bathing house. Before them was, literally, a large pool, quite reminiscent of a spring or bath, filled with none other than Fuyu's blood. As per clan tradition, Fubuki and Sachiko, along with two other members of the clan, were told to bathe in it, as a way of coming-of-age in the clan. After the full allotted time was taken in the baths, Sachiko and Fubuki were then left alone with their thoughts and feelings, and while Sachiko did not understand what she had heard, seen, and smelled at the time, Fubuki did. It was the first stage of Fubuki's potential defection from the clan itself.

A year and a half later, when Akaihou had finally been pronounced the clan's highest elder, the second ritual of coming-of-age for the Riyuu clan began again, but this time, Sachiko was forced to bathe in the blood of her uncle, Akaihou. Now four years old, Sachiko knew a little more what had gone on, and understood a lot better than what anyone should have. By now, her hearing had become sharper, and she was able to control it with her grown chakra control. Soon, she began to learn her motor skills in the clan, learning to use their Inner Sight to its full potential. Not long after Sachiko took this tests, her left arm was branded with the kanji for "reason", which was literally the sign of the Riyuu clan, as their surname means "reason". To this day Sachiko lives with the scar of what she really is, but hopes to avoid the rest of her clan-mates for as long as she possibly can.

After this ritual, however, Fubuki began to get somewhat sick. Having a genuine feeling that she knew what was happening, that the Riyuu's clan gene becoming a parasite on her life force somehow, she took Sachiko one night and ran, as quickly as she possibly could manage, back into Sunagakure, where her roots had originally been. Finding her sister and brother-in-law, Fubuki explained the situation and left Sachiko with them, and eventually passed out. Once put into a bed, Fubuki slowly died as the Riyuu gene ate away at her life force, eventually dying on Sachiko's fifth birthday. At the time, it was unknown as to why the gene became parasitic towards her, it was later revealed that a specific chromosome in her body was conflicting with the clan's gene in her body and causing problems. Knowing what sorts of education Fubuki had wanted for her daughter, Mai and Kiue enrolled Sachiko into the Academy in Sunagakure.

In the Academy, Sachiko learned the basic shinobi skills that everyone else learned, though to her everything was a little different. Some thought it quite odd that the girl would fight with her eyes closed, but little did they know that with her eyes closed was the only way for her to truly fight. Sachiko barely managed to get down the basic Taijutsu skills, as her body was so small and light, and she bruised quite easily. It was fairly obvious that Sachiko would not be a Taijutsu fighter, but the girl would at least have some sort of backup if she really needed it.

Her Ninjutsu and weapons tests went nearly the same as her Taijutsu test; while her skills with the basic Ninjutsu were approximately average, her ability to use weapons was quite horrible. Most of the time, Sachiko missed the mark, and has never, to this day, hit the bullseye on a target. Once it came down to the Genjutsu tests, however, Sachiko excelled with flying colours. She was able to effectively dispel and cast Genjutsu, and through usage of her Riyuu gene was even able to create a few of her own. As a result, Sachiko managed to pass the Academy, becoming a Genin at the age of twelve. Of course, that meant very little for her; what Sachiko really wanted to do was find some way to change the traditions of the Riyuu clan itself, so that none would have to endure the physical, emotional, and mental pain she had been forced to endure.

Kekkai Genkai Description: The Onton element is one that is quite unique and fairly unheard of in the world. The Onton, or Sound Release, is an element that focuses on the use of Genjutsu rather than Ninjutsu. Unique to that of the Riyuu clan, the destructive, disgusting, and mind-rattling rituals which the clan itself follows serves the purpose for the unique and horrifying Genjutsu which is the basis for any Riyuu clan techniques. Because all Riyuu members are born blind, they are given the gift of the Naiteki Joukei, or Inner Sight, which is literally an inverted image of the world around them shown in their mind's eye, and is activated by sound. Because the members of the clan are blind, their senses become heightened; however, their sense of hearing is often heightened through clan training as well as chakra.

Description: The Naiteki Joukei, or Inner Sight, is the Ninjutsu / Doujutsu basis of the Riyuu clan. This particular ability allows the user to see the world around them that would be visible to their eyes as a sonar-type image that would disappear with the lack of sound and would become either more or less visible depending on how loud an area was. Through this they are able to see in a small, 180 degree vision and focus like normal human eyes would in reality, and because it is directly connected to the mind, it allows them to replay significant events over numerous times in their mind after something has happened, giving them a sort of photographic memory. It also allows them to connect to their own painful and horrifying memories to their jutsu and utilize them in whichever way they possibly wish. The actual concept is much similar to sonar, in a sense, so it isn't uncommon for a Riyuu to be making some sort of noise any time they can, such as humming, whistling, etc etc. As well, once activated, the user's eyes are completely sealed shut until it is deactivated.

The Naiteki Joukei is also the Riyuu clan's ability that allows them to heighten their sense of hearing. When activated, the sense becomes heightened to almost the point of a bat, and although it is enhanced by chakra, it also decreases their other senses, dis-including their lack of eyesight. As a result, it becomes harder to smell, taste, and even feel certain things around them, as their senses begin to focus on just their ability to hear. As well, this increases their 'sonar' ability with their Naiteki Joukei, giving them a wider range with louder sounds and the ability to hear even something as small as a pin drop.

Description: Onchou no Mitsukai allows Sachiko to access the memories of her past and create a horrifying Genjutsu involving, literally, visions of angels. However, these angels are not one's contemporary angels, nor do they have wings. These glowing, black-clad men and women appear more devilish rather than angelic, and in turn are intended to cause feelings of apprehension and fear in an individual once caught in it.

Description: The Shan Nemuri is a jutsu that is unique to the Riyuu clan. Once a sound made by the snapping of the user's fingers is heard by the victim, they will seemingly fall into a sleep state, where they are then plagued with terrible and horrifying dreams, usually of those close to them, as well as horrifying visions of their own death. These visions are controlled by the user and can usually be manipulated in any way.

Description: The Chiyu Houtai, literally Healing Bandage, is another Genjutsu unique to the Riyuu clan. Once the victim has been caught by either eyesight or sound created by the user, they will find themselves trapped and bound by white bandages around them. Slowly, the bandages will begin to constrict, causing the victim to feel as if they are suffocating. The bandages will also feel like they are constricting so tight against the limbs of the user that they will seem to realistically cut through the skin, much like rope can rub the top few layers of skin off and, through playing with the body's pain receptors, the victim will "feel" the immense pain of the bandages cutting through their skin.

Description: This technique is mostly utilized by low-ranked Riyuu clan members. Music is something that can be common in the lives of many, and the concept of sound and hearing is nearly inevitable. Once the words the user whispers are heard by the victim, they will be trapped in a world of pure darkness within their mind, where the sounds of screeching, such as nails scraping against a chalkboard, will be created in order to terrorize the ears and mind of the victim. The sounds of screeching violins are also quite common in the illusion as well.

~ Magen : Narukumi no Jutsu [Demonic Illusion : Hell Viewing Technique] :: a Genjutsu technique that causes its target to see a horrifying vision. The ninja will use the serpent hand seal to cause a circle of leaves to spin and envelop the target and then fall away. Once cast the world will appear normal to the target until they see the illusion.

~ Kori Shinchuu no Jutsu [Sly Mind Affect Technique] :: a Genjutsu technique which causes the target to travel around in circles. If the ninja is unable to detect the illusion very quickly, they can become exhausted mentally and physically when they are unable to reach their desired target by traveling along the same path over and over.

~ Kokohi no Jutsu [False Place Technique] :: a simple Genjutsu technique which changes the appearance of a nearby object.

The young blonde's words echoed deeply in her head as she grasped the hand of the frail, sick woman before her, watching those baby blue eyes being so lifeless behind those lids. Behind her stood her aunt and uncle, the only ones whom Sachiko hadn't been left behind by, whom hadn't been brutally murdered directly before her eyes. Memories, painful memories flashed across her vision, The first was of her, a little girl once more, clinging to the leg of her mother as she watched her father's life siphoned from his body directly in front of her. Tears began to roll their way down her visage, and she gripped the woman's hand tighter.

"Mai, Kiue... Please, take... Care of my... my little girl... My little angel, Sachiko..." Mai and Kiue nodded behind the young kunoichi, tears welling up in both of their eyes. Sachiko's eyes widened in horror as the lids of her mother's orbs began to slowly close, and she gripped the woman's hands tighter, screaming for her to stay, for her to not leave like Daddy did... But nonetheless, her words meant nothing for the woman's condition. It was horrific, sad, and causing complete and utter distraught.

"No, Mommy, no! Please don't die, please! I can't... You can't, Mommy! Please don't leave like Daddy did, please!" Futile words echoed from her lips as the Riyuu woman's body went limp, and it was as if time itself froze. The wind roared outside, the sign of an oncoming sandstorm across the desert, as Sachiko stood, like a frozen statue, tears running down her cheeks.

"Mommy..." she whispered, her voice cracking and squeaking as she tried to squeeze the words out. but they just seemed to catch in her chest every time. Without warning, the girl leaped up and ran into the empty room that was her room, slammed and locked the door, and stood, staring at the plain walls, no words echoing from her lips. All seemed to be silent as Mai and Kiue gently removed the body and left the house. There was nobody there, nobody but Sachiko. Falling to her knees, she pounded her fist into the floor. This wasn't fair, was it?! Was it meant to be this way? Sachiko didn't think so. As if she couldn't walk, she crawled up to the corner and hugged her knees to her chest, rocking back and forth like the little girl that she really was. That was the last straw of her life, it seemed. Only one word escaped her lips as she rocked.

"Mommy... Mommy... Mommy..." she whispered.
