Nami has long blonde hair which she very rarely wears down; she usually pulls it up into a high ponytail with a few braids. Nami also wears a lot of bright colours; she prefers to stand out from the crowd then to blend with the others. On her arms there is a long shelve of white ruffles which she wears to hide her steel Fan beneath. Also on the back of her thigh she hides her shuriken and a small blade.
Nami has a small tattoo/birthmark upon her lower back which has been there since she was a child it is in the shape of an lightning bolt. Her body is slim and toned and she prefers to show off a moderate amount of skin to show off the fact, which also says she can be a show off.
During missions she adopts a skin tight back dress and black shorts, under her dress is a black netted top with long sleeves, upong her back she carries her Steel fan and swords and strapped to her thighs in a pouch full of kunai.
Nami wears either a yellow tank top or bikini top dependant on how hot the weather is, she teams this up with a pair of green or blue shorts or skin and a pair of black boots. Occasionally she will wear a scarf or her sleeves but that she leaves mainly for missions to hide her fan. On formal occasions she replaces her normal outside for something a lot classier, a long white kimono that has a detailed image of a cherry blossom tree on the side, which used to belong to her mother.
Nami almost walks with a skip and every time she walks she holds her hands by her back. She is 5'4.
Personality:
Nami can either be too trusting or not trusting at all, her mind tends to jump back and forth, some days she prefers to be open other days she prefers to keep more to herself. Though if your willing to talk to her for awhile she will be willing to try to warm up to you.
Though she seems that she is always happy that isn’t always the case, she can be angered very easily and can often become violent or mouthy. Though once she becomes violent its hard to bring calm her down and will take her days or weeks to forgive someone once they have angered her.
Nami doesn’t fear death so she will fight to save lives then fight to save her own and cares deeply for her friends and family, though she doesn’t have any family left she will see her best friends as sisters, its her way of not feeling alone.
Nami makes mistake but hates to admit them, she will deny she did anything wrong or either walk away, she hates the thought of failure and one of the main reasons she wants to do so well is so that her father will return and see how great she has become. Everyone she has every felt safe with has either died or left her, so she often feels alone or inadequate and is determined to prove everyone and herself wrong.
[During battle Nami can become ruthless when anything or anyone comes between her friends or completing a mission. Though she has been trained to fight a certain way, if she was to get too anger it will change and she acts the way she feels and that usually leads to her being blinded by rage. She will shout and scream, Scratch and bite she literally acts like an animal.
History:
Pre Academy [/b][/color]
Born on the 7th of November in the village of Kumogakure, Her mother gave birth to twins, Toka and Nami. Nami's father had always hoped for a boy to follow on their family name. The twins were known in the village as the Bolt Siblings, due to their father's powerful lightning jutsu, which would supposedly run through their veins.
The mark that signifies their bloodline was a small birthmark on their lower back in the shape of a bolt.
Nami and Toka were only 2 when their parents decided to move village due to the overpowering riots that was slowly building up. After months of travelling then arrived at Konohagakure. They settled down quickly and soon developed a good bond with everyone in the village.
Nami's farther worked as hunter-nin so he was never around to care for them while their mother juggled with being a mother and doing her part for the village, she had become popular after people discovered her healing skills.
A few months before Toka and Nami were to start the Ninja academy Toka fell ill with an incurable disease. Nami and her mother spent the few weeks beside him till he slowly slipped away. Toka wasn’t in much pain when he passed; their mother was practically drained after working all day and night just trying to keep the pain away from him.
Nami fell silent after Toka's death; he was not just her brother but her best friend so his passing had a huge affect on her. Not to mention After all the letters they sent their farther about Toka's disease he didn’t come back till after Toka's death and ended up blaming her mother for his disease.
It was only a week before Nami would start the academy but he mind was else where, her mother and father would never stop arguing and many times it became violent, in the end her mother and her were the ones going to bed with bruises. Though whatever her father did to them Nami couldn’t bring herself to hate him, after all the words he spoke, commenting on how he wished it was Nami who was taken, that a women shouldn’t be worthy to be the heir of there
The first day of academy, Nami awoke excited clan, she ran into her parents room to find only her mother crying silently in the corner of the room, it was then that she realised that her father had gone.
Academy Years
The morning of the first day of academy Nami's father had left her and her mother alone and left no more for them to live on. At the time Nami hadn’t spoke her word but left the house for the academy leaving her mother in a bad state.
Nami was determined to become a ninja and she would hate that the only reason she couldn’t achieve this was because of her father, she wouldn’t let him, she would prove to him that she could be worthy of their name.
On the first day everyone in the class had to introduce themselves and say what they liked and disliked. Nami came fourth, instead of speaking she took the chalk from the teacher's desk and wrote down her introduction. ' My name is Rei Nami, I am five years old, I dislike death and I like helping people, my future goal in life is to be happy.'
The class room fell silent and the only one that even attempted to be her friend was a boy named Fuuin Kyu. Who after then became her best friend throughout her academy years.
Nami spent hours near the lake practising her jutsu techniques, she was determined to graduate that year, she found the Bunshin no Jutsu easiest to learn and became the best in the class at Genjutsu.
Every day after class she spent three hours practising Taijutsu on a thick wooden long with Kyu who just seemed to watch her and didn’t really participate in training. After training she would go to village café and help out with cleaning dishes, she worked hard for her age; her mother was depressed and would never get out of bed so Nami was left to earn money to feed them both.
Nami soon started to talk nearer the end of there years as a academy student, the day she spoke her first words was a week before the examination. Nami and Kyu were outside practising when Kyu accidently tripped and hit his head on the edge of the tree stump. Nami ran to his side and dressed his wounds; she had a good understanding of what to do in a medical emergency from her mother so Nami handled the situation well.
Nami took Kyu back to his parent's house and helped them place him into his bed. "Thank you Kyu for being my friend" were the first words she spoke for almost two years.
The day of the examinations had arrived and each student had to attempted three Genjutsu techniques they had learnt, Bunshin no Jutsu, Henge no Jutsu and Kawarimi no Jutsu. Nami was the first to go and completed each one successfully and received her Ninja headband.

Genin Years
After everyone in Nami class graduated, everyone in her class went home and showed their parents their success but instead Nami went to the only place she feels she can be herself, the place she trains.
She trained for more hours then usual, letting out all her anger out, she was glad she graduated but apart of her was holding back all her anger towards her father.
Nami didn’t go home that night, instead she slept out in the woods and bathes in the lake, she didn’t want to go home to her mother she didn’t want to face reality.
Nami arrived at the academy the next day just as their sensei was reading out their groups, she quietly sat down and listened till her name was said. Team 4, Rei Nami, Makati Frey and Fuuin Kyu. ' Nami smiled at the thought of being best friends with Kyu for much longer, Nami didn’t know much about Frey but what she did know wasn’t enough for them to dislike each other.
Their Sensei was named Akio Kado; he was a tall man with middle length blonde hair and violet eyes. Though their Sensei wasn’t well known he was a talented ninja and a good role model. On their first day as a Genin they visited the lake and tried to develop themselves as team, using such methods as using teamwork to cross the lake without going around it or through it. After awhile of practising, they finally worked together and one at a time, jumped into the air throwing each other over the lake.
Sensei passed them and they were official Genin.
Throughout the years, they walked dogs, painted fences and carried out small C ranked missions, though after so many D ranked missions Nami and her team began to get bored and ready for action so Kado decided to pick up their second C ranked mission. They were to escort a few doctors to the land hidden in the clouds.
Just before they left for the mission Nami visited her mother, she hadn’t changed though instead of staying in bed all day she was walking around the house, trying to keep herself busy though in her eyes you could tell she was already dead.
Nami then made her way towards their usual training spot to meet up with her team but on her way she found Kyu behind her. Kyu grabbed hold of her shoulder to stop her, and pressed his lips gently against hers. Nami was shocked and gently pulled back looking towards Kyu suspiciously.
At that moment Kyu confessed his feelings for Nami, saying he was sure he was in love with her the moment they met. Nami didn’t say anything but gave him a friendly hug. She gave a half hearted smile while ruffling his hair. " You are like family to me Kyu. " was her words before she turned and ran off to meet Frey and sensei, leaving Kyu standing their shocked and disappointed.
The mission started out peaceful, though Nami couldn’t help but notice Kyu's eyes upon her all the time, she felt bad for what happened and was planning to apologise to him once the mission was finished.
They arrived at the village hidden in the clouds and escorted the doctors safely but before they could leave the village was attacked by a horde of bandits. The harmless C ranked mission turned into an A.
Kado assigned the Genin to protect the villagers while he managed to fight off as many bandits as he could, Nami tried her hardest to fight off those coming towards the doctors that they had spent many days protecting while Kyu and Frey protected the families.
It wasn’t till the morning that the village seemed almost empty, they thought many had the bandits were gone, the families and doctors began to rebuilding home and tending to the sick, Nami leaned against a tree watching Kyu help a elderly man pick up broken pots. A small smile spread across her lips before in the shadows behind them she saw a flicker of light.
Nami's eyes widened and she sprinted towards Kyu but before she reached him a blade came shooting out from his torso. Nami stopped in her tracks as Kyu fell to the ground blood pouring out from him, his eyes closed as he fell upon the floor. Nami turned towards the Bandit her eyes full of range. Lightning Palm she screamed, her fingertips began to glow as she charged towards the man, and his eyes were wide as her palm rested against his chest. A charge of electricity ran throughout his body while he was paralysed, Nami's free hand went to the back of her thigh and she pulled out a small kunai and with that she ended the bandit's life.
Team 4 left Kyu in the village they would send more qualified ninjas to pick up his body. Nami let only a few tears escape while on there journey back, Kado knew better than to ask what Jutsu she used, he would ask her on a later date.
It had been a year since Kyu had died, though when they ninja arrived to pick up his body there was no body there. Causing a lot of disturbances throughout the village.
It was the day of the Chunin exams, though each team needed three team members, Team 4 was excused due to the circumstances that had happened to Kyu. Nami was successful in the first written exam she used made a clone of her while she sat upon in her seat her clone hung from the ceiling looking at the other genin's answers, she was unseen and therefore passed.
Second exam, the forest. Though Nami and Frey were at a disadvantage they succeed in getting the opposite scroll from a team of Sand ninjas. Though Frey caught herself on a poisonous plant she fell unconscious, Nami managed to carry her all the way to the end of the forest without causing to many disturbances, Frey was treated once they had succeeded.
The third and final test was the tournament, though Nami didn’t want to fight Frey she was now her only friend left. Nami's first three fights she won with ease till it was her turn to fight with Frey. "I wont go easy on you." …."I know" , the fight started out with Frey with the upper hand till Nami soon took control by using her signature jutsu, Frey ended up brutally injured and unconscious.
Nami won the tournament and was assigned an official Chuunin. [/blockquote]
Chuunin Years[/color]
No longer apart of a team, Nami and Frey said their goodbyes and went their opposite ways, Frey didn’t pass the Chuunin exams and so she decided to practise more till she was stronger and Nami was sent off on her first B ranked mission, to escort a council member to the waterfall village.
This mission was assigned to her and her alone, and the journey was supposedly dangerous. Nami made it halfway towards the waterfall village before she was a attacked by a man hidden by a blank mask. Nami pushed the council member into a nearby bush to make she he remained safe while she tried her hardest to fight off the unknown attacker.
The attacker soon fled after an hour of fighting, though Nami was slightly torn up she was still able to walk and carry on this mission. Nami couldn’t help but wonder what the man wanted, she was sure that there was something about him that seemed familiar.
Nami reached the waterfall village, and the council member commended her bravery. She spent a day at the village so she was able to dress her wounds and get some rest before returning back home.
The day after Nami left the village and once again was attacked by the same man, this time his mask was off. Kyu.. The man before her was almost identical to her former friend that she misses still. For a slight moment Nami let her guard done and within that moment she was stabbed through the gut.
Nami then fell into darkness, which almost seemed like eternity to her, once she opened her eyes she was surrounded by many familiar things, it was her home, where she had left her mother.
Before she could get up she heard someone walk in, Kado. He sat down beside Nami and placed a hand on her shoulder, he told her everything that happened, that Kyu was now an assassin and it seemed he didn’t die, and that she had died for a few minutes, if it wasn’t for the Medical-Nin Nami wouldn’t of been there.
Nami nodded understanding fully, she got up to see her mother but Kado stopped her again. Nami's mother had been assassinated by an unknown group. Nami broke down in Koda's arms, and vowed that night that she will not allow anyone to make her cry or feel sad ever again.
Years had passed since the incident with her mother and Kyu and Nami had become one of the best Chuunin around, she was known for her unique lightning jutsu and was giving the name 'The Flash Ninja' mainly for the fact that most her jutsu techniques emit a blinding flash of light. She also spent a few months teaching.
A challenge was appointed to Nami, she was assigned to an A ranked mission, missions that would only allow Jounin or special Jounin to take part in.
Nami was to find the assassins hideout and report back to the village.
Nami left straight away, sporting her new mission outfit, the black dress and shorts and half her face was covered with a mask. Nami focused to see where the most chakra was being admitted around the forest between the waterfall village and the hidden leaf village. It took Nami almost 3 months before she found them, it was a small cave up on the mountains near the village of sand.
Nami was about to set off and leave to report back but it was too late Kyu had found her, she took this as an opportunity to revenge her mother's death. Kyu surrounded her in fire, but she retaliated by summoning her clones to attack him from behind causing him to lose his concentration. Nami used her Lightning Palm to paralyse him, then summoned her pearl strike. She watched as the large crystal from the ground embedded into him.
Nami walked towards him, his life barely there, she looked into his eyes and he smiled. 'I still love you.' he spoke his last words before dying from the loss of blood.
Nami returned to her village to bring the news of her success, she was promoted to Jounin due to her excellent success through missions. [/blockquote]

Kokohi no Jutsu is a simple Genjutsu technique which changes the appearance of a nearby object
Desire Jutsu -- A Genjutsu technique that enabled Nami to let people see all their desires.
Illusion Jutsu --[Narakumi no Jutsu]:: is a Genjutsu technique that causes its target to see a horrifying vision. The ninja will use the serpent hand seal to cause a circle of leaves to spin and envelop the target and then fall away. Once cast the world will appear normal to the target until they see the illusion.
Clone Jutsu [Bunshin no Jutsu] : basic Genjutsu on which the user creates up to 5 copies of himself. This clones aren't real and are mainly used as a diversion
Transformation Jutsu [Henge no Jutsu] : transforms yourself into anyone or anything.
Healing Jutsu [Shosen no Jutsu] ---A Ninjutsu technique where the ninja focuses chakra into the palms of their hands, creating a small ball of healing chakra. This chakra, when concentrated, can repair physical damage to another person
Substitution Jutsu [Kawarimi no Jutsu]: A substitution jutsu which involves switching the ninja's body for another object of the same weight, usually a piece of wood.
Lightning Style Jutsu:
Chain Lightning - Calls upon a flash of lighting that divides into four and the user can send them down to anything it wants too.
Pearl Strike - During this genjutsu a white light flashes below an enemie and from beanth them a large white crystal will form from out of the ground, Lightning is then drawn to it and attacks anything nearby.
Lightning Palm - Five yellow lights with sine out from each tip of the user's finger and whomever they touch will get a dangerous charge of electrity throughout their body.

Nami walked along the dirt path towards Nana house, in her hands' was a bag of groceries, just enough to make ramen for tonight like they had every night. The day was cold and the clouds were turning grey. Her grandmother had predicted rain but as always Nami never paid much attention and didn’t bother to wear suitable clothing.
She had just reached the end of her street before the sky let out a thundering noise as the rain started to fall heavily upon the ground. Nami sighed and sprinted off towards her house, jumping over hedges and fences, anything to get there quicker. Finally she reached the door and swung it open, she threw the food upon the floor and shook off all the excess water that dripped from her.
Nami slipped off her boots and grabbed the food once again, taking it into the kitchen she gently passed it to nana, which was as usual smoking her pipe. "That pipe will make you ill one day obaachan" Nami smiled as she began cut up the vegetables. Nana laughed while scrambling around the bag. "I will die someday, why cant I enjoy one of life's pleasures?" she laughed before noticing Nami's sullen expression.
Nana sighed and hugged Nami closely. " But I wont die for awhile my dear, so don’t worry" Nami smiled loosely before continuing to cut the vegetables.
