Appearance:

Neji stands about 172.1 and weights about 54.2 kg. He has long black hair that is pulled back behind his shoulders to be in a ponytail down at the middle of his back. His bangs are a bit shorter than the rest of his hair has they come down over his Konoha headband that is wrapped around his forehead. His face is a bit around and but instead of a cruel looking young man his face has turned to one that has a understanding nature about it. On the left side of his shoulder on the front and back there is a scar from where he took the arrow from Kidoumaru.

His eyes has no visible iris or people like the rest of his clan, tho his eyes tend to be more lavender in color at the moment. When he activates his Byakugan there is a semi transparent circle that surrounds his pupil and radial lines become visible in place of the iris while veins protrude from the area around his eyes, giving him quite an intimidating appearance and ability. His eyes are the main mark of the Hyuuge clan along with the curse mark that is planted on his forehead.

He has started to wear the normal Hyuuga style clothing, has a white kimono shirt. The sleeves of the shirt goes down to the middle of his palms and they tend to flare out allowing him more access for movement. A flap of cloth that extends from the back is snapped over his right shoulder at the clavicle, it tends to stay in place rather well without it fall out of place when he moves rather face due to his fighting style.

His white pants are made from the same material has his white shirt, and tend to flare just has much has his sleeves does. A black belt that is the same material has the rest of his clothing warps around his waist, a skirt like flap hands from the belt that extends down to his knees, but there is a cut runs up to the belt for decoration.

Personality:

The Before

Since the death of his father, Neji as viewed life as being decided since birth. He does not believe that anyone can change their fate in life. He looks down to nearly everyone that shows any signs of giving up or not having any talent as a shinobi. He also as a hatred towards his clan for being in the branch family and their rules to protect the main branch of the family. He feels Hinata as no talent as a Hyuuga and does not deserve to be heir.

Neji goes into every battle with confident that he will come out the winner. He holds back in battle until there is no need or use to anymore. In battle and outside of battle he shows little to no emotions, the only person that can really tell his emotion and can read them by voice or how he is posed seems to be Tenten. In battle he stays calm and can make quick decision that would determine the fate of his time.

He barely can stand his team mate Lee and their sensei Gai for their view on training. There is respect between him and Lee, tho it is never shown by Neji, as Lee always calling him a genius. As for Gai, Neji does respect when he acts like their teacher and comrade and not some loon from the crazy house.

The Now

Since the fight with Naruto in the Chuunin Exams, Neji has opened up a lot in his views. He no longer sees himself in a cage, but more has someone that wants to change the way the Hyuuga Clan does things. He works with his uncle now nearly two to three times a week on his skills. He no longer sees has the once angry he had for the clan, he sees having built up angry like that is a waste of his skill and talent.

He sees his father now has a light, he knows now what his father did and why he gave his life for his brother. Not because the clan deemed it but because this was his father's chance to make his own fate. Neji himself is determined to do that himself has well. He looks more to the positive side of things now but it doesn't really show only to the ones that are closest to him really sees the difference in him in the long run.

His relationship with his own mother has improved to the point where he helps her out before going on with the daily routine of training or taking on a mission. He sees her has a way to know that there will always be someone there for him in the long run. He knows that what ever he does in his life that she would be proud of him. That is something that he thrives for in the long run.

He still sees Lee and Gai has annoying little bugs, but he willing to work with them a lot more and watch their backs. Tho he quick to place Lee in his place if he tried to make him do any funny work out. He tends to be willing to work more with others has well tho he refused to let them see how much he does like the company of others just yet. He is still working on allowing others to see the emotional side of him.

He shows slight emotions now towards others and don't really knock anyone that he doesn't see fit to be a shinobi. In a way he starting to think about taking on a Genin team of his own to watch out for. Tho that is something that is saved for something further down the line for him.

Tenten holds a special place in Neji's eyes. He sees her as the only one of the team that is sane like he is. He also values and admires her skill as a kunoichi. She is the only one that he knows that as the weapon knowledge and talent with her weapons. He also knows not to bad mouth her weapons. He admires her for not acting like a fangirl around guys she might like. Even tho he would never admit it to anyone specially not Tenten herself he as sorted developed a crush on her. He is doubtful that she would feel the same.

History:

Early Life

Neji was born into the branch family of the Hyuuga clan to Hizashi Hyuuga, who happened to be the twin brother to the main branch leader Hiashi Hyuuga. At the age of four during the young boy's training in the gentle fist, he was taken by his uncle Hiashi and given the branch family curse seal upon his forehead. This was the first time his uncle had came for him personally.

A few weeks or so later while Konoha and Kumo was celebrating a peace treaty, one of Kumo's top ninja went to kidnapped Hinata, the oldest child to Hiashi. Hiashi stopped and killed the ninja, and for that Kumo wanted the dead body of the Hyuuga Leader. It was decided that Hizahi would take Hiashi's place as a body. After this was decided during a training with Hiashi and Hinata, Neji and his father was sitting on the side of the dojo.

Within seconds of watching his cousin and uncle fight, his father collapsed onto the floor holding his head. Neji got up and ran to his father's side has the man took his last breath. His uncle had told him that this was the destiny of a man that was about to betray his clan. Not even a day later Neji watched as his father's body was handed over to the Kumo ninjas.

This act by the Hyuuga clan sent the young boy into training harder and harder. He mastered clan techniques that was only taught to the main branch on his own. He was hailed as a genius of the Clan, the only problem was that with each passing day hatred grew and grew into the young boys eyes and heart.

Academy and Start of Genin Arc:

Neji started at the academy at the age of six, he quickly arose to the top of his class. In his class there was a student by the name of Rock Lee. Neji looked down upon the boy mainly because the fact that he could not do any Ninjutsu or Genjutsu. He once told the boy to just drop out. Something Rock Lee never listen to Neji about.

Genin

At the age of twelve Neji graduated number one in his class and hailed as the Number one Rookie among his age group. He was placed on a team with Rock Lee the wash out taijutsu user and weapon specialist Tenten, and their hyper active sensei Maito Gai. During their first meeting Gai asked each of them their goals in life, after Lee spoke about his, Neji stood up and told him that his dreams and goals would never come true because he could only do taijutsu. Since that night there as been a one side rivalry between him and Lee.

During their first year as Genin, Neji found out how much Gai got on his nerves about the “youthfulness” and it only got worse when Gai tried to make the entire team to wear green jump suit. The only member of the team to take this on was Rock Lee, who in the long run started to dress exactly like their sensei as well. To escape from this nightmare, the unemotional Neji started to train with the one person on the team he respected, that was Tenten. They trained together to enhance their skills without all the silly rules their sensei and teammate traded to place on them.

Just before the start of the first part of the exam, Neji, Tenten, and Lee got to meet Team 7. Neji knew that Uchiha Sasuke was the top rookie of the nine that had graduated just like he was when he had graduated. Something was said to make Neji go to kick Sasuke but was stopped by Lee in a flash, this kinda annoyed him at the moment, but he listened to his teammate and walked away from the fight before anything could actually happened between the two of them. There would be a time where Neji and Sasuke matched up. The first part of the exam was easy to pass with his Byakugan activated.

During the second part of it the team passed with easy, tho they went to Lee's aid when he didn't come back when he was suppose to. He and Tenten was about to help when he noticed that Sasuke had woken up, so he told Tenten to get Lee and they left and made it to the preliminary round of the third exam. During that match he was paired off with his own cousin, he made sure she understood the meaning of why he was better than her, if it hadn't been for Naruto he would have killed Hinata.

In the Final Exam he had to face none other than Naruto. It was a match that took everything out of him. He even revealed to him the curse that was placed on his forehead by his own clan and why it made him to angry to hear Naruto speak about changing his path. To his own surprise he lost to the knucklehead ninja, but it allowed his uncle to show him the real reason why his father died when he was younger. Since than his life had more meaning to it.

When Sasuke left with the sound ninja, Neji was in the group of five to go and get him back. He was placed up again Kidoumaru. He was determined to win the match not because of his skill but because of how Kidoumaru was telling him that he was going to die here by him. He wanted to change his fate, and in the end it was Kidoumaru who fell to him, but not before he took an arrow to his left shoulder that nearly pierced the heart. Shizune and other medical ninja was able to save his life that day. He still bares the scar on the front and back of is shoulder of the time.

At the age of fifteen like Tenten and Lee and the rest of the rookie nine that was still in the village, they took the Chuunin exam once more and passed to become Chuunins. During the time he was Chuunin he lead the three of them on missions alone without Gai due to the growing danger of the Akatsuki. There was times that he didn't actually didn't want to lead the time and other times he just waned to knock Lee out of his mind sometimes.

One year later after becoming a Chuunin he was selected to become a Jounin. Tsunade claimed that it was because of his natural ability with his Byakugan and his success record with his missions. Now he spends his time along side of Lee and Tenten, and when he is not with them he is out on missions of his own. He is started to work with his chakra alignment now on his own, he hasn't told anyone what he been doing.

~Eight Trigrams Empty Palm [Hakke Kūshō] :: This jutsu is similar in practice to Eight Trigrams Palms Heavenly Spin, but has a specific target rather than a general area. To perform it, the user does a palm thrust to violently push the opponent away.

~Eight Trigrams Mountain Crusher [Hakke Hazangeki] :: A focused variation of Eight Trigrams Palms Heavenly Spin, this jutsu sends a wave of chakra directly towards an opponent, more than enough to shatter rock.

~Eight Trigrams One Hundred Twenty-Eight Palms [Hakke Hyaku Nijūhachi Shō] :: This jutsu is essentially a doubled version of Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms. Like the former, it closes off the opponent's tenketsu. However, it closes off twice as many (128) at twice the speed. Alternatively, it can be used to hit a great number of targets very quickly.

~Eight Trigrams Palms Heavenly Spin [Hakkeshō Kaiten] :: This jutsu utilizes the chakra control gained through Gentle Fist training to release a huge amount of chakra from the user's chakra points right before being struck. The released chakra blocks any possible attack on the user. The user then spins rapidly to parry the attack, both creating a shield of chakra around themselves and tossing away any nearby attackers. This jutsu is only effective when rotating, since the chakra itself is not enough to stop a physical attack. If they cannot rotate, the user becomes vulnerable.

~Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms [Hakke Rokujūyon Shō] :: This jutsu closes off sixty-four specific chakra points on an opponent's body with the Gentle Fist, effectively eliminating their ability to use chakra for quite some time and making it difficult for them to move. It begins with striking two chakra points, followed by four more, then eight, then sixteen, then thirty-two, and then sixty-four strikes. Each set of strikes is done at an exponentially increasing pace and strength. The attack not only disables the enemy but also knocks them back with every set of strikes. In the anime, a minor version of this technique is Eight Trigrams Thirty-Two Palms and the doubled version of this technique is Eight Trigrams One Hundred Twenty-Eight Palms.

~Gentle Fist [Jūken] :: The Gentle Fist style of combat is based on palm strikes and generally aims to damage the body's Chakra Pathway System, thus creating difficulty by inhibiting an opponent's use of chakra. To do this, the user will forcefully insert a small amount of their own chakra into an opponent's chakra pathway system. The chakra can the be used to rupture or divert chakra flow, preventing them from using jutsu. It can also be used to attack the opponent's internal organs, to which the chakra pathway system is closely tied. Even the slightest tap from this style can cause major damage, hence the name "gentle fist." Because the chakra pathway system is invisible, the Byakugan is required for this style to be used effectively. Since the Byakugan is unique to the Hyuuga clan, it has become their signature style of combat.

Neji watched her when he pulled away from her after the kiss. He didn't want to pull away from her, kissing her was something new to him but at the same time deep within him he felt happy inside and each time he did kiss her he wanted to feel that more. It was something that he hadn't felt in years since the death of his father, and it was something that he wanted to hold onto has long has possible for now. Tho being around her was started to make that same feeling inside of him now that their relationship has turned for the greater good for the both of them at the moment.

He watched her come and lay her head on his chest once he laid his back down on the grass once more. His eyes watched has her fingers dance around his cheek bone once more. True he felt a bit uncomfortable with her doing that just yet, but he knew he needed to get past that and move on. He knew he didn't let it show that much that he was uncomfortable if any at all, he always been good at hiding that from Tenten at lease, he thought he was at the moment. He took a slow breath slightly to not bother her at the moment. He saw no need in doing that at the moment, she was close to him and he knew deep inside of him he was happy to be around her, he just had to find away to get that out of him some how.

His mind had started to formed the thought of sleeping outside under the stars with her at the moment has she finished up and waited for him to respond. How would it be like any other night that he has slept under the stars with her on missions. And then it hit him like a stack of books dropping off a bookshelf. There would be no one around and specially not Lee and Gai either. He couldn't help but actually blush at the moment and think to what their mothers would say if they knew what they was planning on doing at the moment.

This was a side of Tenten that no one really say at the moment, and a side of her that he didn't really want others to see either. He smirked slightly at the moment, it was kinda forced on his part at the moment, but still it was a smirk. It was not like his other smirks where he knew that he had won a match or when he was being his dark creepy self towards everyone. It was a devilish one at her idea about camping outside under the stars with her and near a lake.

He let go of her hand and tapped her slightly on the forehead with his index finger for a slight moment. It was done more on the lines of getting her attentions other than drawing circles on him that lucky because of his jacket that he really didn't really feel on his skin, tho he knew she was doing that at the moment. ”You know that neither one of our mothers would go for that, so we would have to tell them that we got a mission that we have to take care of. We can say we are doing a mission under some random Jounin that we know and that Lee not on the mission this time. It would be bad if your Shinobi mother caught Lee doing something and thinks that we are on a mission with him.” Luckily for him, he didn't have to really worry about his mother finding out about a fake mission. He had never really let her meet Gai or Lee at the moment so they was in the clear with that.

He smiled some more and nodded his head at her question. He looked up to the sky at the moment. ”If we are going to do this, we better get up and go explain to our mothers what we are doing. Before it gets too late and know that there is no mission at the moment and bust us and what not.” He didn't mind really lying to his mother about this at the moment. Knowing her, she would see right through him but that was not in the matter of speaking at the moment.
