Konan
Type: Canon
Age: 37, but appears to be much younger.
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Hetero
Status: Single
Interest: Pein, though only slightly.
Appearance:
As the sole female member of the Akatsuki and Pein's childhood companion, Konan is revered as one of the most beautiful woman a person could lay eyes on. Her bodily figure is that of almost a perfect model, if seen, with the soft hourglass-shaped body frame, lustful curves, and various other similarities. The actual strength of her body, however, is quite weak compared to most males, as she relies mostly on her Ninjutsu origami abilities during battle.
Konan is often seen clad in the customary Akatsuki cloak, but underneath the cloak is what really shows who the woman is. Underneath, she is clad in a fishnet-style top, which is fully opaque in the torso area and shows her skin underneath the arms. This top reaches fully down to her wrist and smooths out most of her rather large bust, and curves just below her collarbone with a thick black trim. Over that she wears a sort of haori-like jacket, with sleeves that reach to about her elbows. This is tucked into the unique skirt that she wears for leg attire, which is literally like a sash wrapped around her lower extremities. In the back, it reaches down to her mid-thigh, and the front reaches only about three inches short of the back. Hanging from a belt around her waist is a pouch with numerous square origami papers as well as standard weapons. Her feet are clad in the standard shinobi sandals, but reach up to just below her knee or so with a slight heel on them.
Personality:
Konan is often seen to be a very stubborn sort of woman when it comes down to conflictions between Pein's life goals and what might stop them. Though very delicate-looking in her ways and movements, Konan is not one to be trifled with in the wrong way; she would fight to the bitter end for the sake of the Akatsuki. Along with this, however, Konan is not a very prideful person; the only thing she really takes pride in is her origami artwork, and even that has become a very dull sort of pride. It's easy to see Konan as a woman who has grown into her adulthood very well, and stayed quite young-looking for her age as well.
In her speech and her ways, Konan is often referred to as graceful and lithe. She is a quick-moving young woman, especially due to her light frame and graceful figure. At times, her movement can be compared to that of a dancer, and a good one at that, often walking with a sort of spring in her step. Overall Konan is a rather happy person, though she is not often outward about it. This very well complements her loyalty to others, and would be what some might consider the 'perfect friend'; she has an unending loyalty to anyone she serves under, and is able to keep secrets better than some might imagine. Making the world a better place is what she desires in life, and she does not often try to make people miserable, as she finds misery to be a more painful emotion than real physical pain could ever be.
Konan's optimism is one of her stronger points of her persona; to her, it doesn't matter what happens, but what truly should matter is the outcome of any situation. She often tries to look on the bright side of most situations and pick out the joyous details. As well, she has been known to try to formulate plans which are for the best of all sides, and rarely asks questions about anything. Some say she follows Pein's utter word to the bitter end with a blind faith.
The young Akatsuki woman's only fear is that of water, and there is a viable reason for that; if Konan is to become wet, most of her jutsu become useless, and she is often left defenseless. As much as she tries to hide this weakness and fear, however, it is still visible at different points in her words and actions, and it probably doesn't help that she is a terrible swimmer to boot.
History:
As a young girl, Konan was an orphan in a completely war-torn country. At a young age, she was orphaned by her parents and wandered alone for the most part. That was, of course, until she met Yahiko and Nagato, now known as Pein. Wandering in their war-torn home, the three became good friends and often looked out for each other.
One day, when the three Legendary Sannin, Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Orochimaru, were making their way back from the war, they encountered the young orphan trio. Jiraiya, taking a liking to the threesome, promised to help them train and become stronger in order to survive in the war. He noted Konan's natural ability to create origami shapes, and helped her to come up with her own origami-based techniques, which are the basis for her fighting style today. Eventually, however, the Sannin took his leave, with Konan, Nagato, and Yahiko remaining behind to do what they possibly could to change how their country and the world worked. At some unknown point, Yahiko's death came about, and that was when Nagato became known as Pein. After a short while, Konan was also changed by the conflict in Amegakure, and along with Pein, joined the Akatsuki. Her and Pein seem to be the only ones who possess the knowledge of the Akatsuki's true motives.

Known Jutsu:
~ Shadowing Stealth Technique [Bikou Ninjutsu] :: Bikou Ninjutsu is the technique ninjas use to follow their targets covertly. The manner in which the ninja shadows their target can differ, from the basic hiding under a nearby object, to using a jutsu to turn oneself invisible.
~ Clone Skill [Bunshin no Jutsu] :: Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. The Bunshin technique creates a copy of the ninja without substance. The copy resembles the ninja in every way. This clone can function as a distraction or as means to confuse one's opponent. As soon the Bunshin gets attacked or comes into contact with an opponent, it will disperse.
~ Transformation Technique [Henge no Jutsu] :: Henge no Jutsu is a ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. Henge allows the ninja to transform themselves into any person or object. This allows the ninja to move with stealth or to trick their opponents.
~ Art of Substitution [Kawarimi no Jutsu] :: Kawarimi no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. When in danger the ninja will quickly substitute themself with another nearby object. This can be a block of wood or even another person. This allows the ninja to quickly flee and hide while the original object takes the brunt of their opponents attack.
~ Release [Kai] :: Kai is a Ninjutsu technique which allows the ninja to avoid the effects of a Genjutsu illusion. After forming the needed handseals, the Genjutsu technique will not affect the ninja. The ninja can also use the technique on another individual who was unable to avoid the attack. After forming the needed hand seals, the ninja touches the one affected to end the affect of the spell.
~ Act of Water Surface Walking [Suimen Hokou no Waza] :: A variation on the Kinobori no Waza (Act of Tree Climbing), the art of water surface walking allows a ninja to walk on water as if it was a solid surface. Focusing an even amount of chakra out of the soles of their feet, they can balance themselves on the very surface of the water.jutsu technique. The ninja uses a camouflage cloth to cloak themselves in the background.[/i]
~ Paper Shuriken [Kami Shuriken] :: Kami Shuriken is a Ninjutsu technique used by Akatsuki member Konan. Using her high origami skills, Konan will form her paper into bird-like shapes. After throwing these at the target, they can fly through the air and cut through the victim. When she was younger, Konan required the use of a Fuuton technique to add "punch" to the thrown shuriken. After she advanced her skills, she appears to be able to launch them with enough deadly force by herself.
~ Shadow Clone Technique [Kage Bunshin no Jutsu] :: Kage Bunshin is a Jounin level Ninjutsu technique. When Naruto stole the scroll of seals, he learned this technique as well. The normal Bunshin technique creates a copy of the ninja that lacks any substance. The Kage Bunshin distributes the ninja's chakra evenly among the clones and creates a real copy with form and substance. The clone itself can also utilize any jutsu the original ninja knows. When the clone finally disperses, any new knowledge it has gained is passed back to the original ninja and any additional clones. This makes Kage Bunshin an excellent training method if the ninja has the chakra capacity and stamina to maintain the Kage Bunshins for an extended period of time. This allows the ninja to essentially reduce the time it takes to train and learn with each clone added. This is especially true when used with Tajuu Kage Bunshin.
~ Five Seal Barrier [Gofuu Kekkai] :: Gofuu Kekkai is a Fuuinjutsu technique utilized by Akatsuki. The five "kin" (prohibition) seals act together to form a barrier to the entrance of their cave. The cave door itself is marked with one tag, and four other tags are located within a few hundred meters of each other. To remove the barrier, all five tags must be removed at the same moment. Knowing that the barrier has this weakness, Akatsuki added a further protection. When the four surrounding tags are removed, a doppelganger of the person who removed it will emerge from the ground and battle them. The doppelganger can utilize all the same moves as the original, even bloodline techniques.
~ Astral Projection Technique [?] :: This unnamed astral projection technique is used by Akatsuki to gather at one location, even while members are in different parts of the world. By forming the needed hand seal, an astral form of their being will appear at the desired location. This spirit can act in conjunction with other members to do combination jutsu like the Genryuu Kyuu Fuujin. While in the spirit form, the member’s voice will sound deep and distorted.
~ Paper Clone [Kami Bunshin] :: A clone made from paper that is easily beaten - when it is defeated the clone bursts into thousands of sheets of paper.
~ ? Paper Transformation [? Kami Henge] :: The Akatsuki member Konan is able to perform various and unique origami Ninjutsu. This specific ninjutsu allows her to transform her own body into paper. Once done, she can produce countless sheets of paper. These sheets can be controlled individually by her will and formed into various shapes for an immense variety of purposes, such as butterflies for scouting, spears for attack, or darts with which to pummel opponents. Konan can even form wings from that allow her to fly. One weakness of this ability, though, is that it is rendered useless once her body is doused in fluid, such as oil or water.

How'd you find me?! Duh...
Sample RP:
I hadn't really thought of anything that I had wanted to do today, at least not yet. That sunlight just loved to peer its way through the fog around my personal little island, and it really pissed me off. I was glad I fit in with the people of Mist, though, as they rarely got sunlight, and my complexion was quite pale to start with. Not that I minded it; I found it made me more of an intimidating person to my victims.
Groaning and thinking about whom I could satisfy my urging thirst for blood with today - not that it was a literal thirst, really, but just that urge that I had, that feeling of ecstasy I wanted to feel as I took the life of another. I just couldn't understand how most thought I was insane; nonetheless, I was surprised nobody had caught me here in Kirigakure. Then again, I guessed that the things they said about this village were true, that it was merely a weak little place... Which I found to be quite true. Of course, I had been such a regular customer - and appearing perfectly harmless and sometimes cute towards others, not to mention sexy as well - at a lot of the merchants' shops that I was seen as friendly. Nobody saw my Konoha headband, as I often left it at my little cabin. Nobody had ever followed me out of Kirigakure, for I had made sure of that. I knew that I was a force to be reckoned with when it came down to things.
And yet, nonetheless, bored as I was, here I stood at the port of Kirigakure, tying up my small rowboat that I always used. A few of the early-morning fishermen smiled at me, and I flashed a genuine-seeming and yet fake smile back. I was in a relatively good mood... If one could call my moods good. Most people who considered themselves the norm would have thought I was in a bad mood, an insane mood, perhaps. However, as I knew it, there really was no norm; because, no matter your viewpoint, you would always think of yourself as the norm, because that was the one thing you could understand the very best. Yes, yes, that sounded feasable, did it not?
I walked past the inn to find something interesting... A man in a black cloak with red clouds. Oh, probably one of those Akatsuki bastards, as I knew. Perhaps he himself would be an interesting challenge. I liked challenges, and to me it seemed he was pretty angsty. Oh, how lovely it seemed. A perfect choice to mangle beyond recognition. Chances were, he was in someone's bingo book like myself, which made the feat even better. Maybe I could stick it as a reminder to any village, place my name in another book. Of course, that was, if whatever village he might've been from wasn't allied with Konoha. If it was, it would definitely put my name in their bingo book. I knew for a fact that I was in Konoha's, and probably in Suna's too, because of their alliance.
"Tch, how many of you Akatsuki dumbasses are there? I swear, you grow out of the ground like f*cking grass." I was in a pretty angsty mood, but my voice was low enough that only he could hear. I tried to play stupidly casual as I walked past him, but I was sure my voice was rather unmistakeable. I didn't care. So long as I got my two cents in and perhaps pissed him off, I was happy. It was a joyous thing, and I would definitely rejoice in it.
