Kazuma Ishimaru
Type: Original
Age: 12
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Status: Single
Interest: None
Face Claim:Nagisa Koriyama (from I have no clue where. I just found him on an anime character database, and from what I can find, he's in some game that isn't out yet)
Appearance:
Ishimaru is, of course, a young boy. Therefore, he isn't going to be very tall, probably a few inches above being 5 ft. tall, and around 120 lbs. in weight. His body build is rather lean and not being very muscular as he isn't normally a taijutsu user. This means he isn't very strong, but he can be flexible and fast when needed to be. His skin is a bit on the light side (probably from spending a lot of time studying), and is rather smooth for a kid on the verge of puberty (some kids claim he's cheating with his medical jutsu, which he denies). As for his eyes, they are a light brown color, and normally are relaxed and warm in order to show that he is a rather kind person. During tense moments, though, they become rather cold and sharp looking. Strangely enough, for someone who tends to be rather polite and straight-laced, his dark-brown hair is rather messy. It reaches down to just a little bit past his ears, and the bangs go down to just above the eyes. It all kinds of sticks out all over the place, making it look rather messy and spiky. Occasionally he tries to straighten it up some, but usually gives up as their are more important things to worry about.
For his casual clothing, he likes to keep things simple. He wears a pair of blackened slacks with pockets and a pouch bandaged on the upper leg, just in case. His pants match perfect with his shoes, which tend to be the normal shinobi open-toed shoe, black in color. As for his shirt, it is the opposite color than the rest of his outfit. It is a short-sleeved white t-shirt, though he does try to fancy up a little bit by wearing a black jacket every once in awhile. Overall it presents a rather loose and relaxed attitude.
His combat clothing is a simple modification of his casual clothing. While his pants and shoes remain the same, his upper-body clothing begins to differ. He adds in a belt that contains more pouches on it for his various tools. The most important ones are the pouch on his right side (left side to someone looking at him), which contains the senbon needles he uses for precision striking. The other important one is the one on his left side, which contains his first aid supplies (bandages, anti-infection agents, scalpel, ice pack, etc.). Moving upwards, his simple white t-shirt is traded in for a black long-sleeve shirt. This is because to him, it makes sense to wear all black on missions since stealth is a vital part of being a ninja. His headband is tied on his left shoulder, but he will move it to his head when times get tough.
Personality:
Because of his young age, Ishimaru shares many of the personality traits other young children have. He is loud, outspoken, and rather energetic. For the most part, he does well in social situations with others, able to chat on just about any subject that is brought up. Towards adults he is unusually polite and helpful, going out of his way to assist them when asked. Towards other kids he shares a similar relation, willing to provide a helping hand when asked. All of this he does with a smile, and rarely asks for anything in return.
Ishimaru, however, is a master at masking his true self. While on the outside he appears to be a kind, helpful young man, in reality he's just playing them for his own personal gain. He knows that in order to succeed, one must be on good terms with people. He truly doesn't care for them that much, and is more interested in pursuing his own goals. This allows him to lie and manipulate others without a second thought, but he makes sure to do it in a subtle way. When the need arises, he is capable of following a rather Machiavellian path and then hide it behind a mask of concern, regret, fear, or whatever emotion is needed at the time.
One of the main times his true personality comes out is in the middle of a fight. His manipulative skills make him a great planner and strategist (though nowhere near the levels of the Nara clan at this point), but that isn't the only thing that comes through. While he is in training to be a medical-nin, he isn't exactly the healing type of person. Sure, he may perform some quick first aid for his teammates, but he much prefers to take advantage of medical knowledge for combat use, similar to what Kabuto or Tsunade has shown to do. It is during such close-combat situations that a sleight sense of sadism comes through as he will gladly aim for spots on an enemy that will either cause them great pain (of course he'll just claim to have done so for 'strategic purposes'). By the time the battle is over, he will have regained that sense of 'caring' that he normally has.
All in all, Ishimaru can be described as a manipulative gentlemen. A kind and caring person on the outside, but a cold, self-serving kid on the inside. At his young age it is possible that he might change and become a better person. There are some signs of it already, as (while he will deny it), he has sometimes acted on impulse in ways that conflict with his mindset of himself. However, if he were to continue on his current path, he may end up becoming similar to Orochimaru, becoming obsessed with gaining power. He may even take his interest in medical jutsu to the 'lab', and begin performing experiments on others. But for now, he'll just be the kind kid who wants to 'help others.'
History:
Ishimaru was born into the life of a shinobi. Both of his parents were members of Konoha's medical corps. They had been serving in it for many years as they had joined it almost immediately after they were given the rank of Chuunin. They were highly respected and trusted within the medical corps. This meant that from an early age, Ishimaru had access to a large amount of medical information. It was easily expected that he would end up in the medical corps as well.
In preparation for that day, once Ishimaru was able to talk, walk, and read, he was given a preliminary course in medical knowledge by his parents. During spare time, his parents would encourage him to read up on low-level medical books so he could get a basic level knowledge of anatomy. Of course he wasn't given access to the high level stuff, such as the Mystical Hadn technique (the bread and butter of a medical-nin), but he had to start somewhere. Alongisde the reading, Ishimaru began to work on his own techniques, but he didn't get very far during this time. He had the knowledge, but not the skill to take advantage of it. It was for that reason his parents enrolled him in the Academy when he reached the age of eight.
At the Academy, he was placed under a special curriculum with other ninja who planned on becoming medical nin. Alongside the basic ninja classes, the other students and him were taught many of the same things he had studied before. The classes also went beyond what he learned, and included lessons on how to perform first aid and the basics of battlefield medicine. It was there that he learned one of the most important concepts of being a medical nin; learn to avoid the enemies attacks. In order to learn this, the classes would constantly play games of 'dodge ball'. He found it strange, but it was a good way to learn to dodge. All of this was providing a rather solid base for his future medical success.
It was during his third year at the Academy that the Sand and Sound alliance attacked the Leaf Village. Like the rest of the Academy students, he was lead out of the village to be safe. His parents, meanwhile, headed off to the front lines to assist in healing those injured by the initial attacks. They performed their jobs great, but on the way to the front of the lines they were ambushed by a retreating squad of Sound ninja. His mother was able to escape, but his father was critically injured while holding them off. He had been severely fatigued from performing his job, and it had set in during the battle, giving the Sound ninja the advantage.
While his father survived the fight, he was in critical condition. Ishimaru's father was rushed to the Konoha Hospital after the attack was finished. The other medical nin attempted to save him, but the wounds and fatigue had taken to great of a toll on him. He died a few hours after being admitted to the hospital, Ishimaru idly standing by as the medical-nin tried to keep him stable. The funeral occured a few days after the Third Hokage's funeral, and it was at both of these funerals that Ishimaru discovered something. He found that he didn't feel any sense of regret or loss at either of their passings. This lead him to be rather remote for awhile as he tried to figure this out, but hid it as a state of depression, something everyone else could understand.
Eventually, Ishimaru returned to his normal, 'caring' self. But in reality, he wasn't himself. During his time of self-reflection, he found that he never could remember a time that he felt any close attachment to someone. Sure, he felt attached to his parents, but it wasn't that deep, emotional one that most people would expect between a parent and child. It was more, from his perspective, like a relation between two good friends than parents and children. He found that the only person he could ever think of that he depended on was himself. While many people would have freaked at this revelation since it sounded so heartless, Ishimaru found that he didn't care. He could only count on himself, and that he would only work for himself.
It was during the last years of his Academy that Ishimaru began to develop his own brand of techniques. He had discovered that his chakra release was water, which he found rather appropriate for a medical jutsu user. Taking the concepts of chakra flow and applying it to water, he was able to support a small stream of water that he could control it with simple hand movements.
His medical knowledge lead to him creating a medical technique with a more combat-orientation. With the chakra control that was required of all medical-nin being one of the things that had been drilled into them, Ishimaru believed he would be able to pull it off easily. The most impressive technique he made was his Minor Sickness technique, which, instead of healing, made a person sick. It made the medical instructor rather weary, considering it was the opposite of what a medical-nin was supposed to do. But the graduation exams were coming up, and the fact he could create such a technique was impressive and would help his grade greatly. He passed in the top quarter of his class.
Now that he is out of the academy, Ishimaru is patiently waiting to be assigned to a team. While he doesn’t particularly enjoy having to be on a team, it is expected of all Genin. Besides, between them and the sensei, he would have plenty of ways to increase his own strength. His teammates would work as sparring partners, and the sensei could teach him powerful new jutsus. All of this access, and all he had to do was act like he actually thought them as his friends. A rather easy task in his mind.

Known Jutsu:
~Clone Technique[Bunshin no Jutsu] :: Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. The Bunshin technique creates a copy of the ninja without substance. The copy resembles the ninja in every way. This clone can function as a distraction or as means to confuse one's opponent. As soon the Bunshin gets attacked or comes into contact with an opponent, it will disperse
~Change of Body Stance Technique[Kawarimi no Jutsu ] :: This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach, leaving the opponent open to a counter-attack. Exploding tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. Fundamentally, all ninja know this technique.
~Transformation Technique[Henge no Jutsu ] :: This jutsu allows the user to assume the appearance of another person, animal, or object. This is one of the basic jutsu taught at the Konohagakure Ninja Academy. Fundamentally, all ninja know this jutsu. The transformation technique is considered to be among the more difficult E-ranked techniques, since it requires constant emission of chakra while mentally maintaining the form. On top of that, the user would be, most likely, interacting with the environment. This puts much mental strain on the inexperienced ninja.
~Escaping Skill[Nawanuke no Jutsu] :: A basic jutsu taught at the Konoha Ninja Academy, this jutsu allows a ninja to free themselves if they have been tied up. How this is done is unknown
~Release [Kai] :: Kai is a Ninjutsu technique which allows the ninja to avoid the effects of a Genjutsu illusion. After forming the needed hand seals, the Genjutsu technique will not affect the ninja. The ninja can also use the technique on another individual who was unable to avoid the attack. After forming the needed hand seals, the ninja touches the one affected to end the affect of the spell.

Your Name: Whammy (he's a character from a gameshow)
Read The Manga / Seen The Anime? The original Naruto series I watched up to the point they hit the fillers. The Shippuden series I watched the first,oh, 30 episodes and the Hidan/Kakuzu fights. The manga I've read bits and pieces of Shippuden. However, I have my own RP site, and it requires me to research Naruto a lot, so I know quite a bit about what happens XD.
How'd you find me?! Most likely stumbled on it during one of my advertising sprees for my own site

"Alright then, let's get this process started," Ishimaru mumbled to himself as he pulled out a book from the shelf.
At the moment he was currently inside his family's personal library. His father had always thought it would be best to have a large collection of books on medicine to have around, just in case. If things went bad, then it would be very helpful to have a book on herbs or poisons or other such things around. That, however, was not why Ishimaru was there. While an index of poisons could be helpful, such things were rather boring to him. He was more interested in the theoretical side of medicine. Untested, possibly dangerous techniques that used medical knowledge to creat jutsu for combat use. That was why he was there.
Book in hand, he headed back towards his own room and threw it onto the desk. The room was dark, and had a rather stale feeling in the air. With that in mind, he headed over to the window and threw open the curtains, wincing a little as he did so. His eyes were adjusted for being in low light areas, a side effect of being locked in the library for so long. Blinking for a few moments, his eyes began to adjust for the new influx of light, and soon he was no longer blinded.
"I must make a note to myself to get out more often," he said to no one in particular.
Heading back to the desk, he began flipping the rather dusty tome to a page that explained how the immune system worked. His eyes darted to and fro across the page, absorbing in the information that he already knew quite well. When an unwanted organism entered the body, the immune system would kick in and begin working to either remove it or kill it off. Many of the symptoms of a disease were in fact the results of that process.
It was that part of the system that he was focusing on. What he was planning on doing was rather simple, at least in his mind. He was going to use chakra to mimic a disease and activate the immune system to get the desired results. If it worked, a person would soon begin to feel sick. While he doubted he could get a violent result like vomiting, sores, and other symptoms (though some of those weren't immune system based anyways), he could probably get a fever, some coughing, and possibly inflammation (which could lead to some coughing). It wouldn't kill anyone, but during battle, a fever could speed up fatigue, and coughing could be rather distracting. Besides, he could always work on improving it later.
Now, since he didn't have any test subjects at the moment, he was forced to use himself for the position. It would be annoying, but it was a small sacrifice to improve his collection of medical jutsu. He left the book open as he went to sit down on his bed. It was a precaution because if it worked, there was a possibility of him getting dizzy and possibly falling. Falling on the bed would be a better option then falling on the floor. Once he was comfortable, he began to breath deeply as he worked to focus chakra in his hands. This would be the easiest way to apply it afterall.
He could feel the energy flowing to his hands, which soon began to tingle a little. To stop that, he concentrated on the flow and began to draw chakra away from it before settling on a much smaller flow. The tingle left, and he waited till there was a slight glow of chakra around his hand. Now all he had to do was keep the flow and move to his stomach, which would be the easiest place to...
"Ishimaru, hurry up and get washed up for dinner," his mother shouted.
The chakra flow snapped back to normal, and the glow disappeared as he jumped in surprise. His concentration was broken, and all that work had been wasted. He let out a small growl of frustration at the loss getting up from the bed. Taking a deep breath, he calmed himself down before replying.
"I'll be down in a moment mother," he said in his 'normal' cheerful tone.
As he headed to the door, he took a quick glance at the book. It sat there, mocking him at his failure to cause a simple fever because his mother called. He slammed the door shut before leaving, shutting the door more quietly before heading to kitchen, a smile on his face to hide all that he had been doing a moment before. But he would be back soon, and he would finish that technique even if he had to suffer severe vomiting to do so.
