Zetsu
Type: Canon
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Status: Single
Interest: Roses :D
Appearance:
At first glance, Zetsu is a monster standing at five feet and eight inches tall, and in a sense, he is. His body is covered from his ankles upward by a Venus flytrap-like appendage that grows about two feet over his head. Dark veins protrude from its leaves, giving it the appearance of being a living part of his body. There seems to be no use for this extra shield other than intimidating his opponents, although it could possibly be used to assist in his feeding habits or to photosynthesize when he has no other source of nutrients.
His hair is a light, almost aqua green color, and its short, spiked style makes it appear as though his head is topped with grass. He has a preference of keeping it short so that it does not interfere when he eats, as he usually does so by digging into the flesh of his victim with his bare teeth and holding the corpse steady with his hands.
Bright golden orbs further define this man, and his enormous left iris reaches from eyelid to eyelid whereas it seems that there are no lids for his right eye. There are no visible pupils, and the whites of his right eye are not technically "whites," for they are black. These eyes allow for him to see much farther than the average human, which makes sense, because he is no "average human."
Among all of Zetsu's features, the most hidden and most meaningful is his skin, which is two different shades: the left half of his body is purely white while the right half is a midnight black. While the white half seems calm and collected, the black half has many silver-studded facial and bodily piercings that are shown, which gives him a rebellious appearance, giving the appearance that Zetsu himself is the essence of yin and yang.
Zetsu wears the red-trimmed black cloak with white and red clouds that belongs to the Akatsuki, but it is opened to expose the encasing flytrap up to the middle of his chest. He does not wear the shirt, nor the pants that the other members sport simply because he is not able to fit his flytrap into them, so he is seen only in the cloak. His nails are painted grey in coordinance with the Akatsuki uniform, and on his right pinky finger rests the "Boar" ring, signifying further that she is a member of the antagonist organization.
Personality:
Zetsu has quite the interesting personality because of the two conflicting souls within his body.
Although the black half, or "yin," has many facial piercings to make him seem rebellious, he seems formal about speech. His tone usually does not change and carries a robotic twinge, though he is able to whisper and such to avoid detection while spying. He seems to have a problem with anyone who takes the flytrap as a joke and will argue with his other half about killing the person. This is the more compliant side of Zetsu and has to usher on his lazier white half to motivate his body to coordinate movements.
His white half, also known as "yang," is extremely laid-back and doesn't take harshly to anything. He doesn't like carnage as much as yin seems to, and he is the less compliant half of his body. He does complain quite a bit, and he isn't as observant as the other side and seems to enjoy conversing with himself to explain things aloud, which makes it seem as though both sides of his brain function with the thoughts of the seperate halves.
Zetsu does agree with himself on a few things even though he bickers a lot more than not. When danger approaches, he will not hesitate to run, and the same things seem to annoy both sides, though some more than others. He prefers the company of himself rather than other people, but he does not seem to mind when someone else is in his presence.
History:
Zetsu was born in Kusagakure to two civilian parents, both of which were surprised to find that their child was albino. They did not treat him differently, but that didn't stop the other kids from making fun of him or his odd-colored hair, which was merely a trait passed down that didn't seem to be affected by his albinism. He kept reminding himself that the children were merely idiots and convinced himself after finding that it was much easier to talk aloud than to keep himself quiet that it would be better if he felt no emotions, but it was quite difficult, and in the end, he managed to keep hold of the emotions, but found that he wasn't as attached to them anymore.
After Zetsu began to hit his teenage years, a rumor about a mass murderer within the village stirred up trouble, and Zetsu became part of the civilian team to help search for the killer. He lusted to find the man and prove himself to the village, and to his surprise, he ran into the wanted criminal.
The criminal, a man with midnight-black skin and a large Venus flytrap-like appendage that encased his body, began chatting with Zetsu, and after finding that the boy wished to be a shinobi, the murderer made a promise that Zetsu would be able to train as a shinobi as long as he housed the man, and Zetsu began walking towards his house when the other stopped him and cast a jutsu, fusing their bodies together in an attempt to escape prison.
Having no idea what to do, Zetsu ran to authorities only to be captured and held in prison in the stead of the criminal because of the permanent jutsu that had been cast. Zetsu sulked for days on end, yet he found one day that he couldn't move the right side of his body. "Yin" took over.
Under the guidance of Yin, Zetsu broke from his cell and conformed to the thoughts of the murderer to begin eating the bodies of the deceased, converting him into a cannibal over the course of a few hours.
Finding the blood and shreads of clothing, Kusagakure ANBU tracked down Zetsu and forced him out of the village, and although it took years, Zetsu was finally able to get Yin under control enough so that he could function normally enough to live. When the Akatsuki approached him, Zetsu jumped at the chance to offer his services as a shinobi and almost instantly became the spy of the Akatsuki through the jutsu learned from the murderer.

Did she call him "Kogitsune"? And did she want for him to call her just "Sakura"?
A look of confusion was now plastered onto Kogitsune's features as he slowed his pace to pile his thoughts together. What she had just asked went against everything that he had been taught growing up. As a child, he was expected to refer to all others as "-san" or a higher rank while he was called merely "-kun" or had no honorific whatsoever, but as he grew older, more and more people began calling him "-san." In Hoshigakure, adding the suffix was a form of both respect and maturity... and being referred to as "Kogitsune" gave him the impression that this Haruno Sakura thought of him as a child and wanted to be called one as well. But, as he had learned already, Konohagakure was a peaceful, carefree village, especially compared to the hostile atmosphere of Hoshigakure. There was no doubt in his mind that there were cultural differences between the villages, but he wasn't sure about being able to shoulder this particular one.
Kogitsune's confused dark eyes connected with Sakura's, then just as quickly broke contact and refocused on the sandy path. Calm down, he thought to himself, closing his eyes and taking a deep, steady breath. He was shocked at himself for losing composure over something that seemed so simple to this kunoichi and swallowed lightly as he tumbled names through his head. She wanted to be familiar with him, but he couldn't bring himself to call her by her given name while having only known her for a few hours at the least, so... Haruno-san... He would not call her "Haruno."
Just the prospect of calling another by their given name sent an unwanted tingle down his spine. Perhaps... Sakura-san would be sufficient enough. He hesitated while speaking, attempting to sound as comfortable as possible while doing something that was almost unheard of from someone of his upbringing. "Sa... Saku... ra... san..." He felt a slight ping in his heart from the mental strain of referring to her in that sense and gently placed a hand over it to feel his heartbeat and calm himself. At her request to hear his question, he could hardly speak from the attempt of recovering from the shock of the previous moment. "Could you please tell me of your village's customs?"
