Maito Gai is one mega piece of awesomeness and youth embodied in human flesh XD. He stands at approximately 6 feet tall and is around 168 lbs. of nearly pure muscle. He distributes it evenly in a chiseled but still lithe and flexible frame, blessing him with the power of extreme strength and ungodly speed. Gai's torso is riddled with various small scars invisible from far away that he wears with pride from the grueling torture he puts himself through in training and in battles and his arms fair the same textures. His upper body shows no abnormalities and there can be very little body fat on him at all (most of it is for survival purposes cuz let's face it; you can't live with 0 body fat. It's humanly impossible).
His lower body is a variant of the same steel hard body shape and his body all in all is completely waxed to allow him the sleekness to fit in those god-awful spandex suits XD. His head is an inverted pear shape to be close to accurate as possible and he wears the Beatles bowl cut "loud 'n proud" with his glossy black hair; thank god he didn't keep the afro lmao. I would make a separate paragraph for his clothes but it's very simple so I'll keep it here. Gai prefers to wear his usual polycarbonate, green, spandex bodysuit. Over the top of that, he wears his jounin flak jacket/vest and he ties on his red fabric (slightly longer than normal) Konoha headband around his waist as a belt. He finishes off the outfit with orange canvas leg-warmers around his lower legs to his feet and the common blue shinobi sandal boots on his feet.
Personality:
Maito Gai is the most outlandish shinobi to ever grace the Hidden Leaf Village. His boisterous flair and passion for life is rivaled only by his most zealous pupil, Rock Lee. He is always talking about the power of a broad mind, an open heart, a hot blooded soul, and an eternal sense of the wonder of youth. He is always pursuing said Youth and will go to insane lengths to feel it every day. He trains his mind, body, and soul to inhuman limits and then past them, often visiting the hospital for a quick series of stitches (WCS surgeries every now and again). This doesn't faze him however, and he keeps pushing himself till he is fully satisfied (that was a joke; he's never satisfied XD). He does now and again stop to smell the roses so to speak and can be seen in the Yamanaka flower shop literally taking in the sights and smells of the flowers or he will go to a great work of natural beauty human achievement like the top of the Hokage Faces; he says it is vitality for the soul. While he is a complete and utter goofball sometimes, Gai can really stick it to the logics of the world and pull off wisdom unseen in someone so young. He truly is an elite, not just as a warrior but also in life.
In battle, the goofiness is still present but is honed into seriousness when the foe is really worthy of his razor sharp wrath. Gai is brilliant on the battlefield and his speed and tenacity is not often seen in ANY shinobi, past or present. He fights with blazing glory and will awe any who witness his fights into sheer amazement of his awesomeness. Gai's fighting style is harsh, blinding fast, and above all, ungodly powerful. His Strong Fist Style is feared and revered by all who have lived to face it's might; a pride that he carries high when he touts the title Konoha's Noble Green Beast.
Gai isn't always fight, fight, fight. Sometimes he just likes to kick back and enjoy life's simple pleasures. He likes to read Icha Icha novels, shockingly, but he reads them for the display of sheer human passion and nature rather than the obvious pervertedness of the content; he is often seen crying whilst reading, talking about the characters "truly enjoying their youth". He loves to continue his rivalry with Kakashi, often coming up with outlandish challenges to test himself and come out on top of the record of win/loss that he has going. He likes quiet walks in the public park, painting (shocking again), attending theatrical performances (especially musical theatre; opera is his favorite), and spending quality time with his students and colleagues at the local barbeque or Ichiraku Ramen shop.

Might Guy is the Jounin sensei of Hyuuga Neji, TenTen and Rock Lee. He is also an old friend and rival of Hatake Kakashi. Guy is one of the most distinguished characters in Naruto, known for his bowl-cut hairdo, prominent eyebrows and his strikingly over-the-top personality which leaves others around him speechless. He refers to himself and Kakashi as "eternal rivals", despite Kakashi’s aloofness to the matter. Often, he will begin a grand speech to Kakashi, who will simply be looking at or listening to something else, causing Guy to become infuriated by Kakashi’s "hip" ignorance.
Guy appeared first of all during the Chuunin exams after Lee attempted to use a forbidden technique on Sasuke during a simple sparring match. Lee’s bandages were pinned down to a wall with a toy pinwheel, apparently thrown by Nin-Kame (Ninja Turtle), a talking turtle that wore a Leaf forehead protector around his neck. After chewing Lee out, Guy suddenly appeared in a puff of smoke on Nin-Kame's back, striking a bizarre pose and proceeding to deliver a heavy punch to Lee’s face as punishment for his use of a forbidden move. Seconds later, the two embraced in a hug and Guy lectured Lee on the mysteries of being young and ordered a punishment of 500 laps. Team 7, utterly astonished and horrified by the display, stood dumbstruck as Guy explained his rivalry with Kakashi to them.
Guy had been introduced to Lee several years earlier. As Guy and Kakashi watched over a class of young ninja at the Academy, they discussed a young "hot-blooded loser" with big eyebrows like Guy's own. Guy encouraged the young man to hold on to his passion and ambition. Soon enough Lee was placed under the leadership of Guy. Lee was unable to perform Ninjutsu or Genjutsu, and felt he didn't stand a chance against geniuses like his teammate Neji. Guy explained Lee was a genius of hardwork, because he performed extensive Taijutsu training of his body to become stronger. Watching the young man develop Guy chose to pass on his Taijutsu secrets to Lee, much to the young man's happiness. Guy felt Lee was the only one capable of handling such techniques and helped Lee become deadly in the use of his body alone. Over the following year the team would go on several missions and Guy would enter his team into the Chuunin Exam.
During the exam, official duties placed him in the central tower of the Forest Of Death. Here he stood as a support for his students and enforcer if needed, as was such the case when having to grab Neji around the neck when Neji almost made a post-match killing strike on Hinata. Prior to that, he warned the Sand siblings about Lee after their confidence in beating Tenten. When it was Lee’s turn to fight Gaara, Guy’s goofiness came through again when stating the obvious, telling Lee that Gaara’s gourd was suspicious. As Lee’s physical strikes were useless against Gaara’s sand, Guy explained that Lee was incapable of using Ninjutsu or Genjutsu, originally also as useless at Taijutsu. Realizing Lee’s limit, he instructed Lee to remove the training weights he had on his legs, which dropped to the ground with incredible force. With Lee’s speed now reaching levels where his movements were a blur, he finally broke through Gaara’s shield
Although the odds were still against him, Lee and Guy realized the best way to strike was to hit Gaara with attacks that deprived him of his sand shield, then land a critical blow. With a move in mind, Guy silently nodded to give approval to use it. Guy began to pray as Lee kicked Gaara up into the air, then looked again as Lee came down again and cracked Gaara’s skull on the ground. However, at the moment Guy’s eyes closed, Gaara substituted himself and escaped, taking his revenge on an almost incapacitated Lee.
With only one trick left, Lee recalled Guy’s early training days where along with his Taijutsu skill; Guy burned the art of perseverance into Lee’s mind, reassuring Sakura that "the lotus of Leaf blooms twice". Kakashi recognized his double-entendre, referring to Lee opening the Eight Celestial Gates, a dangerous strategy in itself, then using a high-risk move, the Ura Renge (Reverse Lotus). Kakashi initially considered Lee knowing the move to be overkill, reprimanding Guy for teaching it to him, but guy explained it as being more than just a technique to win a fight, but to protect his very way of life as a ninja.
As Guy gave running commentary on the move, Lee performed it, only for Gaara to just barely slip out of taking the full impact. Enraged, Gaara crushed Lee’s arm and leg, but Guy broke his grip, since Lee was no longer able to battle. Even though Gaara was declared the winner, Lee stood back up on the most primal of instincts, forcing Guy to finally call him off in tears. However, he was visibly shaken as a medical team arrived; stating Lee might never be a shinobi again after such injuries. Kakashi offered an apology, and Lee was taken away. As Lee recovered in the hospital, Guy would arrive to once again stop Gaara from injuring Lee further. Lee and Guy later came to watch the finals as spectators, with Lee limping on crutches and yet still amazingly in high spirits. Guy observed that Sasuke was as fast as Lee without the weights, but wondered why Sasuke was also using Taijutsu alone, since the strategy failed against Gaara before. As the fight progressed, it became apparent to Guy that Sasuke had increased it to compliment a Ninjutsu skill, the Chidori.
However, as it struck Gaara, Guy and Kakashi noticed that a Genjutsu was occuring and quickly drove it off themselves as it forced everyone else asleep. An ambush followed and the two found themselves fighting to protect their own lives as well as the sleeping spectators as a combination of Sand and Sound ninja invaded the village. As a Sound ninja was about to sneak attack Naruto, Guy showed his superhuman speed and strength, pinning the enemy against a wall with his fist, then smashing him through it with a second strike. Amusingly, even under such circumstances, Guy was keeping track of how many ninja they defeated. While the Sound ninja were eventually defeated, Guy would next be seen at the funeral of the Third Hokage, mourning.
Guy next appeared after delivering a strong kick to Hoshigaki Kisame as he and Uchiha Itachi came for Naruto. With Kakashi incapacitated from Itachi’s Genjutsu, Guy explained there was a way of fighting even a Sharingan user. One must avoid eye contact and focus on the movements of the user's feet, something developed fighting Kakashi. While Kisame was eager to fight, Itachi called a retreat, leaving Guy to attend to Kakashi. Guy would later pursue the Akatsuki duo and mistakeningly deliver a powerful kick to Jiraiya, who had just driven Itachi and Kisame off. Guy apologized to the man and carried an injured Sasuke back to Konoha for treatment.
When Tsunade returned to Konoha she would attend to Lee, still near-crippled from his injuries sustained by Gaara. Guy pleaded with her to examine him, even during her examination of Kakashi. However, the crushing news came that the operation to repair the damage was 50/50, with the results either promoting recovery or killing Lee. After a lot of soul-searching and a heart-to-heart talk with Guy, Lee agreed to take the surgery. It turned out to be a success, although Lee still needed a lot of rehabilitation. After returning from a mission, Guy went to check on Lee and he was overjoyed at the good news. However he soon learned Lee was not there, he had run off without permission to aid in Sasuke’s rescue.
Even worse, Guy made a startling discovery that Lee may have become intoxicated. After Guy successfully trained Lee in the use of the Reverse Lotus, the team went to a restaurant to celebrate. Mistaking alcohol for water, Lee took a sip and became violently drunk. Thanks to a mistake from Tsunade, Lee had taken her sake bottle instead of his medicine, causing Guy to shudder at the force of a completely drunken Lee. After the mission, Lee’s rehabilitation with Guy continued, despite Guy commenting that he was having difficulty keeping up with Lee’s youth.
In the 2.5 years that passed (events depicted in the anime only), Guy was the subject of much comedy, firstly being impersonated by a pair of amateur ninjas disguised as him and Lee, attempting to also disguise himself with a handlebar moustache and afro wig to enter a dojo Lee had built for martial arts challenges, while also receiving a challenge of his own from someone seeking revenge for a man he defeated a long time ago.

~ Morning Peacock [Asakujaku] :: Asakujaku is a taijutsu technique used by Maito Gai. Gai first opens the sixth Celestial Gate Keimon, which gives him access to an enormous amount of chakra. Using this tremendous burst of power and speed, he will approach his opponent in a distinctive stance. When near enough, he will kick his opponent and launch them into the air. He will then strike them multiple times, causing the distinctive peacock fan to develop. His opponent will then fall back to the earth, covered in the strike's aura.
~ Dynamic Action [Dainamikku Akushon] :: Dynamic Action is a taijutsu technique used by Maito Gai. Gai will launch himself at his opponent and then use a barrage of strikes and kicks.
~ Dynamic Entry [Dainamikku Entorii] :: Dynamic Entry is a taijutsu technique used by Maito Gai. Gai will throw a kunai to distract his targets attention, he will then use his speed and agility to quickly approach and attack his opponent from their blind side.
~ Leaf Great Light Rotation [Konoha Dai Senkou] :: Konoha Dai Senkou is a Taijutsu technique utilized by the Maito Gai. After charging his opponent, Gai will unleash a powerful kick which will spin his opponent away.
~ Leaf Great Whirlwind [Konoha Dai Senpuu] :: Konoha Dai Senpuu is a Taijutsu technique utilized by the Leaf ninja Maito Gai. Like the normal Senpuu, Gai uses his quickness and agility to deliver a series powerful spinning kicks to his opponent.
~ Leaf Strong Whirlwind [Konoha Gouriki Senpuu] :: Konoha Gouriki Senpuu is a Taijutsu technique utilized by the Leaf ninja Maito Gai. Like the normal Senpuu, Gai uses his quickness and agility to deliver a powerful roundhouse kick to his opponent.
~ Leaf Hurricane [Konoha Reppuu] :: Konoha Reppuu is a Taijutsu technique utilized by the Leaf ninja Maito Gai. Using his quickness and agility, Gai moves low to the ground and spinning kick to sweep his opponent off their feet.
~ Leaf Whirlwind [Konoha Senpuu] :: Konoha Senpuu is a Taijutsu technique utilized by the Leaf ninja Maito Gai. Using his quickness and agility, Gai charges at his target and spins his body to do a flying round house kick on those opponents within his range of attack.
~ Leaf Rising Wind [Konoha Shoufuu] :: Konoha Shoufuu is a Taijutsu technique utilized by the Leaf ninja Maito Gai. Using his quickness and agility, Gai with do a swift upwards kick at his opponent or at a weapon his opponent is wielding.
~ Primary Lotus [Omote Renge] :: Omote Renge is a Taijutsu technique which was forbidden due to the strain it puts on a ninja's body. By opening the first of the Celestial Gates, the Initial Gate, the ninja is able to release the restraints in the brain and push the body farther. In Gai's case, he is able to increase his speed and power. To utilize the Omote Renge, Gai dashes till he is suddenly below his target and a quick upward kick sends his opponent skyward. Gai then jumps into the air to place his chest to the back of his opponent. He then wraps his arms around his opponent to prevent escape. As the pair begin their fall back to earth, Gai begins to spin downwards at a high rate of speed, driving his opponent head first into the ground. At the last moment Gai himself releases his grip and jumps to the clear. Though the technique injures his opponent, it also takes its toll on Gai's body as well if used too long or much.
~ Hidden Lotus [Ura Renge] :: Ura Renge is a Taijutsu technique which was forbidden due to the strain it puts on a ninja's body. To complete the technique, Gai has to open the first five of the Celestial Gates. By opening the first of the Celestial Gates, the Initial Gate, the ninja is able to release the restraints in the brain and push the body farther. In Gai's case, he is able to increase his speed and power. By opening the second gate, the Heal Gate, Gai is able to temporarily increase his stamina. With the opening of the Third Gate, the Life Gate, Gai's body turns a shade of red and he is able to perform the Ura Renge. When Gai performs the technique though, he also opens the fourth gate, the Harm Gate, and the fifth gate, the Limit Gate. Opening the gates removes the limiters placed on the body, and by opening these gates Gai is given a great increase in power in speed. The technique is forbidden though because as each subsquent gate is opened, the body faces more and more strain. When Gai opens the fifth gate, his muscles began to snap.
To utilize the Ura Renge, Gai will open the first three Celestial Gates. Then, like Omote Renge, he quickly moves beneath the target and kicks them upwards. While in the air Gai will then pummel his opponent throughout the air with high speed Taijutsu attacks to weaken them. Then at the apex of his attack he will strike his opponent in the chest towards the ground. Gai then moves in close to his opponent and attaches a bandage or wire of some kind. Gai will then allow his opponent to get some distance, he then pulls his target back to his body and does a hard downward palm strike to their chest causing them to crash into the ground with massive damage.
~ Strong Fist Style [Gouken Ryuu] :: Gouken is fighting style utilized by Maito Gai. Because Gai has almost no Ninjutsu or Genjutsu skills, he has devoted his training to mastering Taijutsu. To that end he must deal significant damage to his opponent to be able to defeat them. The Gouken form focuses on injuring the body and breaking bones, dealing primary damage to the outer body. Attacks like Konoha Dai Senpuu, Konoha Gouriki Senpuu and Konoha Shoufuu fall into this category.
~ Summoning Jutsu + Turtle [Kuchiyose no Jutsu + Kame] :: A powerful jutsu, Ninpo Kuchiyose allows a ninja to summon animals, objects and the dead to fight on their behalf. The ninja normally signs a blood contract with the animal species, which allows him to summon different size and skill levels of creature. In Gai's case, he signed a contract with a Nin-Kame or Ninja Turtle XD.

It was yet another youthful day for the Noble Green beast and he was sure to make it the best day ever!!! Not that any of his previous days were any less glorious, of course, but he felt every day he should strive for such perfection of revelry. Gai started his morning with a hearty breakfast of a steak omelete, a pitcher of good ol' Vitamin C Orange Juice, a mug of his best Expresso Black coffee from Kusagakure, and a heaping stack of low carb/high protein pancakes, savoring them with all his might for their delectable flavor, but nonetheless scarfing them down for time's sake; he had an awesome day to enjoy. "Ok! Today I'm gonna hit the streets and head down to the training grounds for a little training session! Then I'll run 300 laps around the village on my hands--" he cut off. Wait... he thought, I've already done that...hmm how about I do 350 laps on ONE hand at a time!! That would be a killer workout!!! he thought with exhuberent glee.
Jogging to the training grounds with 10 times the normal poundage weights on his calves and shoulders, Gai wiped the sweat from his brow as he finally made it to his destination. With a heavy sigh, Gai smiled widely and began drilling through his various katas and other exercises he had planned for the day. His muscles tensed and bulged as his focus narrowed to a blade's edge. "Hooooooooooooooooah!!!!" he crowed as he zipped along the field at blazing speeds even for someone with 200+ lbs of weight on him, kicking and punching in the air faster than the eye could properly follow without their vision blurring. "I'm HOT-BLOODED!!!!" he bellowed to psyche himself up further as he ripped into the 3rd celestial gate and his chakra surged violently. His movements became like the wind in a hurricane; gale and unstoppable. The ground beneath him crumbled and dispersed to the winds wherever he landed and touched; not from just impact but the sheer pressure of his chakra's might. He was the beast of the Leaf village and he knew it.
Landing on the ground, fully exhausting his reserves of chakra from the sheer strain to keep the Ura Renge from damaging his body and from the training at extreme speeds with extreme weight, Gai let out a long breath of steaming hot air in pure ecstasy. That had been one hell of a power session, he thought in his head as he noticed his watch in his pack sounding off the time; he had spent four whole hours there. "Yikes, I had best get going!! Wouldn't want the day to get away from me!!!" he chortled happily to himself. This truly was a glorious day.
