Hyuuga Hanabi
Type: Canon
Age: 11
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Hetero
Status: Single
Interest: None
Appearance:
While Hanabi may seem to be a rather small girl for her age, standing at a mere five feet tall and weighing only 97 lbs, much like any other Hyuuga member, she is a force to be reckoned with. Lavender-coloured eyes can be seen hidden partially underneath her odd-seeming bangs and accenting her soft jawline and cheekbones, her pupil only three shades darker than the iris of her eye, giving the impression that they are almost the same colour. A slender neck flows into small yet powerful shoulders an arms as well as quite the bust for an eleven-year-old girl; some claim it's inheritence, at least compared to her older sister, Hinata.
Hanabi's body, as it is not quite fully developed as of yet, has very sharp curves along her torso and hips, her hips not being much wider than when she were little or even compared to some of the boys of her class. Short, slightly muscular legs are what keep the girl moving in her daily life, accented well by her small feet and hands. However, as small as she might be, Hanabi is not someone to mess with on the battlefield.
Hanabi's style of clothing has changed a little from her younger years. She is often seen clad in a black fishnet undershirt worn underneath a long-sleeved, purplish-grey shirt that crosses in the front like a kimono would, but without the obi. Her shirt is tucked into a pair of black fabric kapris of the same colour, with her weapons holster around her right thigh. On the shoulder of either arm is the symbol of the Hyuuga clan, a yellow circle with a red flame inside it.
Tied just underneath her small yet protrusive bust is a medium purple, skirt-like garment that is open on her right side - to allow access to her weapons holster on her thigh - to accent her style a little. It also hides the hip holster on the back of her right thigh. Her feet are clad in the common shinobi sandals, though they are black rather than blue.
The style of hair that Hanabi often goes with is rather simple; Hanabi wears her hair down to just past her shoulders, with long bangs rather than short ones, with a single strand that reaches down to about her chin or so falling down the middle of her face. However, whenever given the chance and especially during training, Hanabi is often seen with her hair tied back into a tight ponytail, though her bangs still spill out around her face and down the middle.
Personality:
Intelligent
Hanabi is much more than just simply intelligent. For a ten-year-old, Hanabi has a lot of skill compared to most of her classmates, often excelling in the areas of Taijutsu. While her usage of the Byakugan is not as skilled as her cousin Neji or her father, Hanabi had learned to master the bloodline limit along with the Jyuuken rather well. Along with this, however, comes an intelligent little mind; Hanabi is a thinker, and will use her ability to think quickly and to size up a situation in no time to further her abilities.
Hyperactive
Hanabi, when not around her father, is seen to be quite the bubbly little girl, an almost direct opposite to her older sister, Hinata. Hanabi is quite extroverted in her ways, often bouncing around and being dubbed annoying by her cousin, Neji. Hanabi has taken it into her mind to tease the teen about his teammate, Tenten, as well as to tease Hinata on occasion about her feelings for Naruto. It's not uncommon to see Hanabi bounding around without a care in the world.
Driven
Hanabi is very strongly driven by her father's praise of her as well as the fact that her cousin, a member of the branch family, has progressed so far and created his own success. As much as she wouldn't dare admit it to her father, Hanabi wants to be as good as Neji someday, but because of his previous personality, she is afraid to approach him in such a way about most things. She will hyperactively tease, yes, but she cannot seem to find the strength to ask him to help her with anything.
The Hyuuga girl is also a very independent sort of person, and a bit of a procrastinator with things that do not interest her. If she is not interested in something or cannot find something to spark her interest, she will not be driven to do it; however, if she is very strongly interested in it and really wants to finish it, she will have the determination to do it. The praise that her father gives her and his want for her to be the head of the Hyuuga family causes her to strive for the best in her abilities, often causing her to push herself to the limit in order to impress him.
Main and Branch
Hanabi's feelings towards the Branch family of the Hyuuga clan and the fact that there is a split because of them is quite different and varies depending on the subject. While she understands the reason for the split, she finds it almost completely unnecessary for the Branch family members to wear the seal in order to control them. She understands the concept of it protecting their bloodline, but she knows deep in her heart that if she were to become the head of the clan, she would abolish the split to an extent and merge the family back into one again.
Along with that, however, Hanabi would also abolish the usage of the seal to control the Branch members in order to allow them to have their own lives and live freely rather than be the caged birds that Neji always talked about. It is because of Neji's personality that Hanabi has realized this; the death of her uncle, Hizashi, and the way Neji seemed to take it as well as his being looked down upon for being a Branch family member causes Hanabi to want to abolish almost the entire thing.
History:
Hanabi was born into the well-known and highly renowned Hyuuga Clan, as the youngest daughter of the Head Hyuuga House. Seen as a much more competent shinobi than her sister, Hanabi began training with her father at a rather young age, the age of three to be exact, and began to pick up the numerous skills of the Hyuuga clan long before she joined the Academy.
Hanabi entered the Academy at the normal age that any child would, though her life was filled with more than just learning the basics of what she was being taught by the Chuunin instructors. Hanabi was also spending a lot of her free time training with her father, sometimes with her older sister present, sometimes not. Hanabi was rather affected by the bitterness and hostility that her older cousin, Neji, often showed towards her and the rest of the Head family; as result, Hanabi grew slightly afraid of him, though she dared not show it in any sort of way.
Once she was about halfway through the Academy, Hanabi was deemed skilled enough and was bumped up a class along with two other classmates of hers, Yamanaka Meushi and Inuzuka Taiyo. This was just before the Chuunin exams went on in Konoha, and Hanabi clearly remembers the state that Neji had put her older sister in. Although Naruto managed - with Hanabi witnessing from the stands - to claim revenge against Neji for harming Hinata in such a way, Hanabi still has her own revenge she wishes to carry out; defeating the infamous Hyuuga Neji in a spar.
During the exams, however, Hanabi was knocked out by Kabuto's sleep Genjutsu, and went home with her father once the battle began. Later, she was sent up to the small housing on the cliff along with other children and Academy students, feeling slightly scared yet ready to defend everyone else if the time came. Hanabi, only nine at the time, was a stronger girl than she seemed to be; it was a scary time, and she was still bubbly as ever and at the same time confident that she could do her best if a situation were to arise.
After the attack on Konoha, Hanabi focused her efforts into her training a lot more, driven by Naruto's determination and his ability to defeat Neji. She strove her way to graduating a year early from the Academy, much to her father's pleasure, and was given her shinobi headband. Hanabi, like her sister, chooses to wear the item around her neck loosely, which gently accents her fairly prominent preteen bust. After finding out she was placed on a team under a Nara sensei with two familiar Genin - the two she was moved up a class with, Yamanaka Meushi and Inuzuka Taiyo - Hanabi was proud to know that she was growing in skill. Now she strives to be the next elder of the Head house and to change the ways between the Head and Branch houses, for her cousin's sake.
Chakra Element: Unknown
Rank: Genin; graduated early.
Affiliation: Konohagakure no Sato
Weapons: Standard Shinobi Set
Known Jutsu:
KEKKAI GENKAI
~ Byakugan [White Eye] :: Byakugan is the blood inheritance limit of the Hyuuga Clan. The Hyuuga clan was one of the founding noble families of Leaf village. The clan itself is said to be the ancestors of the Uchiha clan who possess the bloodline of the Sharingan eye. When the "Byakugan" is activated, the clan member gains an extra-sensory perception, which gives them penetrating sight and telescopic vision. This allows them to see the tenketsu; the internal chakra coils system 361 pressure points. This vision also grants the member a near 360° view of their surroundings, the higher the skill of the clan member, the further the distance from which they can sense incoming attacks. Unfortunately the vision does have a weakness, a small blind spot that extends outwards from the vertebra of the upper back.
The clan uses this ability in conjunction with their own chakra creating the Juuken (gentle fist) fighting style. The clan member can use their fingers or palms to emit chakra to flow into their opponents body's at the tenketsu points. When the hand draws close enough to strike, the clan member can stop or increase their opponent’s chakra flow. The internal chakra coils which spread throughout the body also wrap around the internal chakra producing organs. So if the internal coils are attacked, it also damages these internal organs. Because a ninja can not train their internal body, such damage can be a critical hit for even a highly skilled ninja. The tenketsu serve as the connectors and exit points for the chakra pathways. So when they are stopped by the Hyuuga clan member, the ninja greatly loses his or her ability to utilize their chakra for jutsu.
TAIJUTSU
~ Jyuuken [Gentle Fist] :: The Gentle Fist style of combat is based on palm strikes and generally aims to damage the body's Chakra Pathway System, thus creating difficulty by inhibiting an opponent's use of chakra. To do this, the user will forcefully insert a small amount of their own chakra into an opponent's chakra pathway system. The chakra can the be used to rupture or divert chakra flow, preventing them from using jutsu. It can also be used to attack the opponent's internal organs, to which the chakra pathway system is closely tied. Even the slightest tap from this style can cause major damage, hence the name "gentle fist." Because the chakra pathway system is invisible, the Byakugan is required for this style to be used effectively. Since the Byakugan is unique to the Hyuga clan, it has become their signature style of combat.
~ Hakke Rokujuuyonshou [Eight Trigrams: Sixty-Four Palms Of The Hand] :: Taijutsu technique unique to the Hyuuga bloodline. Hakke Rokujuuyonshou is a special technique passed down through the main family line. When an opponent is within the clan members divination field of attack, they can quickly begin their assault. The technique allows the clan member to use the Byakugan eye to see the inner chakra coils system. Using the Jyuuken style, they can force their chakra through their hands into the tenketsu of the opponent's body through 126 strikes. First the clan member will strike 2 times, then 4, 8, 16, 32 and finally 64. This damage forceably closes 64 tenketsu, stopping the chakra flow of the opponent. This then limits their opponents ability to use jutsu.
~ Hakke Sanjuuni Shou [Eight Trigrams: Thirty-Two Palms] :: a minor version of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms. Although it only closes 32 chakra points, it seems to be equally fatal or it could just be the user hitting the chakra points near to sensitive organs such as the heart.
Jutsu Name: Hakke Sanjuu Dageki [Eight Trigrams Triple Strike]
Rank: D-Rank
Element: Non-Elemental
Type: Attack
Character: Hyuuga Hanabi
Description: Hakke Sanjuu Dageki is a simple ability used and created by Hanabi. It utilizes three quick palm strikes to the chest of the opponent while using her chakra to close off some of the major chakra points in the chest. It is also sometimes used with pointed fingers rather than palms.
Jutsu Name: Hakke Juuroku Shou [Eight Trigrams Sixteen Palms]
Rank: D-Rank
Element:Non-Elemental
Type: Attack
Character: Hyuuga Hanabi
Description: An even weaker version of the Sixty-Four palms, this utilizes the same pattern as any of the other Hakke abilities. However, it only strikes a total of 16 points, but can be considered vital due to the strike area; the area that is often struck is around vital organs such as the heart, giving it a much more potent amount of damage than one might think.
Jutsu Name: Hakke Hirate Dageki [Eight Trigrams Palm Strike]
Rank: C-Rank
Element: Non-Elemental
Type: Attack
Character: Hyuuga Hanabi
Description: This is probably the most simple of the Gentle Fist attacks. Often utilized when blocking punches, it allows the user to release chakra from their palm to close a number of chakra points with a single strike. It is often utilized when opponents punch towards and, when the user catches the fist in their own palm, they close the chakra points in the hands, which are the most used chakra points in the body.
Jutsu Name: Hakke Bodi Houmen [Eight Trigrams Body Release]
Rank: D-Rank
Element: Non-Elemental
Type: Defense
Character: Hyuuga Hanabi
Description: Sometimes considered the start of the Heavenly Spin technique, Hanabi releases chakra from all of the points in her body at one time. However, instead of pivoting herself into a spin, Hanabi allows the chakra to 'explode' outward, as if a gust of wind, blowing anything within a seven foot radius back with quite the force. It has the ability to stop projectiles, but also takes a lot of chakra to use. Hanabi can only use this ability twice before she passes out when down a little chakra, and three times on a full chakra reserve is pushing her limit to the extreme.

Extra Notes: Hanabi is graduating a year early from the academy for the following reasons:
- We need more Genin.
- I don't want to play an Academy student, because there are no others.
- She has prior training.
- She's supposed to be the main branch heir.
- I don't want to push her through a year of the Academy if there's nobody to roleplay with in the Academy, at least not really.

The term "fearful" couldn't ever describe how Sakura was feeling then and there. Nothing could describe the pure and utter horror she was going through inside. Her hands were clenched into fists on the desk, her body shaking, eyes wide with fear. Her lips hung slightly apart as she tried to regain herself. It was as if her soul had been torn from her body, and she'd been turned into a simple, frozen vessel for absolutely nothing. Her rose locks hung limp around her face as her emerald eyes stared straight at the blackboard, seeing through anything that was possibly there.
She heard every word the man said, and it chilled her to the core. What it was wasn't what was scaring her, however; it was the factor of her possible death in the second stage. Did she dare to leave Sasuke behind like that? Sure, she could possibly come out alive, yes, but she could also die, too. It wouldn't be hard to kill her, because she was useless, and while she didn't fully realize it, the only thing she had going for her was an innate ability with chakra control. She had absolutely nothing else to work with; no signature jutsu of her own, barely any Taijutsu, nothing. It had been said that she was a probable Genjutsu user, because of her ability to dispel a number of them before they took hold of her, but that was it, nothing.
Sakura fought back tears as she tried to think straight, thinking every little bit of this through. Should she do it or not? She wanted to come out alive, yes, because she didn't want to forfeit such an opportunity, but there was also the factor of leaving Sasuke behind. It wouldn't have been so bad if he'd passed along with her; at least that way she would have felt a little more comforted. However, without him... Things became hard. As she watched, she saw Naruto get up and sign the paper. That action was like a spark for her, because she herself would have thought him to chicken out on such a thing. Was she going to let Naruto beat her to the punch like that?
Then Hinata got up and signed her name in blood. That action simply pushed Sakura over the edge. That frail, shy Hyuuga girl, going up for something like that?! It was like a fire was being ignited in the Haruno girl, because she wasn't about to let those two get a head start on her. A third boy stood up, one whom she recognized as Hyuuga Haru, but his standing up didn't tell her much. There were three up there, and she surely hoped that everyone else would be getting up, at least those who had passed. Sakura knew she was still shaking, and she was about to cry, not in sadness, but in anger, frustration, and utter fear. She had to make this decision, now.
Slowly, regaining a straight face again, Sakura stood up, feeling as if she hadn't moved in months. Her body was stiff and rigid with fear, but should she let that get to her? Naruto and Hinata had the guts to do it. Sakura would have thought that Hinata, the shyest person she knew, would have chickened out, too, and Naruto was as gullible as a flea. If they could do it, then Sakura had confidence that she could. Step by step the rosette made her way down the stairs, face set, eyes hard with concentration. It was a struggle to get herself down the stairs coherently, because she still couldn't think straight. Images were flashing across her vision, images she didn't want to see; her imagination was playing tricks on her.
Get it together, Sakura! You're not going to live through this if you keep acting like a little baby! She remembered Ino, and remembered that if she were to chicken out on this, Ino would rub it in her face for sure. If she were to show fear, the Yamanaka girl would laugh at her. Women have to be tough to survive, don't they? A chill ran down her spine at the thought of Ino, and she knew now that she had no choice. She had to go through this, she absolutely had to! If she died, that would mean she wasn't right for Sasuke, right? It would be something that would tell her whether she would make it or not.
And now she realized, as she finally made it to the bottom and bit her thumb, that Naruto had actually helped her. His example, as well as Hinata's, had made her a little stronger. She'd had the guts to stand up and do this, and she knew now she would have to thank him for that later. He deserved a thank-you, even though most of the time she was an outright b*tch to him. Perhaps Naruto was better than she had ever imagined at all. Perhaps he did have potential, along with that annoying, obnoxious, troublemaking, and perverted personality. He had something, and that was courage. In a sense, she admired that. A thank-you was definitely on her to-do list, if she ever got the chance.
Signing her name in blood, Sakura took the scroll she was handed, turned around, and walked back to her seat. She flashed Sasuke a confident look as she passed, telling him that she was confident she could do this. If she couldn't, she would die, right? It would also mean that she wasn't the right one for Sasuke, in her own eyes, and Ino would win. If Ino won because of her death, then in her opinion, Ino deserved it. Then again... Ino hadn't been enrolled in this anyway. So maybe Ino wouldn't win? That would make things interesting.
As she sat down after signing her name, Sakura looked around and tried to guess who might possibly be on the team she was to be placed with. Perhaps she'd get lucky and be placed with Naruto, which would give her the opportunity to thank him. Hinata wouldn't be a bad choice, either; sure, the girl was a little shy, but she was also from the Hyuuga clan, who were known for their skill. Her Byakugan would be useful in a number of situations, and the same went for the other two Hyuuga in the room, Magen and Haru. Either of them would be interesting to work with, because it would mean Sakura would have to build teamwork with them.
Then there was the last member she was considering, Inuzuka Kiba. Well, more like Kiba and Akamaru. The two of them had unrivaled abilities to smell - except being rivaled by other animals - which would prove useful. Their sense of hearing was probably heightened or able to be heightened as well, which would surely prove useful in a number of situations. He was a little spontaneous, sure, but what was the harm in that? Sakura didn't see a problem with it. All in all, Sakura would probably have one Hyuuga on her team regardless, because there were only six people who passed and three Hyuuga. Hopefully they wouldn't be cruel and place all of the three Hyuuga members on the same team; that would just be mean. However, it might also prove useful, if the two teams were to work together in getting through everything. It all depended on how much they could trust each other, because if they could get through this whole thing, then it would be great, now wouldn't it? At least, Sakura hoped they could get through this...
