Because their methods are so vague, and blood concentration is so versatile...the kekkei genkai can be used in any of the three fields without much trouble. However, most popular among the clan has and will always be ninjutsu techniques, as blood is a very portable source of water, and the Ketsueki were originally Mist ninja.

Common Traits:

Members of the Ketsueki clan are characterized by light hair and skin (for no other plausible reason than old superstitions about how they worked in the moonlight, so their features shifted to match), eyes of some shade of red (excess blood used in enhancing vision has dyed the iris red), exagerated male or female parts (for maximum efficiency), AB positive blood type (universal recipient...obvious), and finally a shut-in lack of social skills as they are predators in themselves. Every member also has an innate natural ability to control and concentrate their chakra.

Kekkai Genkai Description:

From birth, members of the clan begin dedicating their larger-than-average supplies of chakra to two major places: one, the systems and organs made to build their blood levels and physical strength, and two, (if female) the reproductive system (since women are born with all the eggs they will use in their lifetimes).

As they evolve and go through puberty, they continue this subconscious usage of excess chakra to create great levels of blood to use to enhance their performances and fuel their jutsu. They use blood as a primary weapon. Their mastery of it has allowed them to in turn control their chakra better because the two have become so well-connected.

But the more they used their blood, the more they needed, so they developed the kekkei genkai into a series of jutsu used to feed off of other humans as well.

Only main house members have such acute control that they are able to consciously channel their chakra even from young ages (as Sora did when she decided she was no good at being a girl). Normally, such things are done by pure instinct, just as the human heart knows to beat without being told to.

Clan History:

The history of the Ketsueki stretches as far back as the first thing that went "bump" in the night. It was through them that tales of bloodsucking demons first surfaced in civilized society. Their family is ancient and seasoned through time.

Founded centuries ago by alchemist ninja who experimented with the fushion of chakra and blood to create a special method of molding the human body beyond its average tendencies. What resulted was a unique kekkei genkai, once seen as a series of exclusive techniques only, but what soon turned into a solely genetic ability embedded into the very fiber of the beings born into the family.

The Ketsueki have always revered blood as the essence of life. Their own blood is a part of their bloodline trait, and thrives off of the energy and influence of foreign donors. As blood became more and more central to the clan, they began to use it beyond their physical capabilities and were forced to either yield or find another source of blood to draw from. Obviously they went for another source.

Thus the blood sucking rituals and jutsu were developed as ways to gather even more blood to use, and the Ketsueki permanently sealed themselves off from their communities. From then on, they were predators, dangerous and forbidden. They hunted and fed on their fellow human beings.

As the clan grew secretly in Kiri, it became difficult to hide their abilities completely. Some were forced to give up feeding tactics and let their Reitoniku whither into a shadow of what it once was. The direct descendants of the original creators remained ever-vigilant in keeping the old traditions alive. Through these methods, they became more powerful than average members of the Ketsueki and the center of authority in the family. (Aside from "purer" and stronger blood, the Main House holds nothing special over all the other members.)

It was only just recently that the scare tactics and political maneuvers the clan was famous for finally failed them. The Village Hidden in the Mist was mad, and the Ketsueki were on their list as the next bunch of lethal kekkei genkai users to be eliminated. Perhaps a year ago, during the rein of the previous Mizukage, they were discovered and slaughtered brutally by the government's elite forces. Few escaped, mostly women and children (including Sora), and journeyed to Konoha on an exodus for safety and protection. Now they reside in the Land of Fire, under a fragile contract with the hokage herself. The clan must be more crafty than ever.

Clan Weapons:

Weapon Name: Kumori
Type: sword--specifically, a katana
Properties: Blade is a blend of chakra metal and obsidian. Length of 3 feet (2'6" blade and 6" handle). Weighs 3 pounds. Blade is 2 inches wide.
Character: Ketsueki Sora
Description: Located in its sheath at her belt, Kumori is an midnight black sword constructed of a blend of obsidian and a special metal that can be used to hold and manipulate chakra through the blade. Used in many of her Blood Jutsu techniques.

***Note: Kumori is for strict use of the male head of the family. Sora uses it because no new male head has stepped up yet.

Jutsu Name: Gyouketsu no Muchi [Blood Clot Whip]
Rank: D-Rank

Type: Attack / Defense / Supplementary
Character: Ketsueki Clan
Description: User cuts himself at the fingertips and allows the blood to stream out into whip form, hardening like elongated clots. Are controlled as extentions of the finger with chakra. The longer they are, the more chakra needed to control them. (Whips resemble liquorice.)

Jutsu Name: Ketsuekijunkan [Blood Circulation]
Rank: B-Rank
Element: Bloodline Limit
Type: Supplementary
Character: Ketsueki Clan--Male Main House (and Sora)
Description: User concentrates chakra and blood so that it moves to a certain location on the body. The concentration of this energy can strengthen the muscles and power in a limb, increase a sense (hearing, sight, etc), or even quicken the healing process. It is an expansion on the natural tendencies of the Ketsueki.

Jutsu Name: Kyuuketsuki no Kamikizu [Vampire Bite]

Description: User extends shiny white fangs and pierces the body of a stationary target, absorbing its blood and chakra until needs are met. Difficult to stop or control.

Jutsu Name: Gyouketsu no Eda [Blood Clot Limb]

Character: Ketsueki Clan
Description: Similar to the Gyouketsu no Muchi, the user cuts himself and allows great whips to lash out. However, these whips may appear any (not just the fingertips) and can thicken and take on more discernable forms (like extra limbs, etc.). The most difficult and chakra-intensive form of this jutsu is when the user sprouts bat-like wings from his back (increasing the rank of this jutsu to B).

Description: User casts a sort of spell over his/her appearance, making them take on the look of a bloody demon to inspire fear in the enemy.

Description: User is able to take on physical characteristics of a person whose blood they have taken. Is substantially more tangible and flexible than an average transformation jutsu.

Description: Used only in direct correlation to the Kyuuketsuki no Kamikizu technique. As user pierces victim's body, a high form of satisfaction enters the victim...calming them until they are too incapacitated to resist. After Kyuuketsuki no Kamikizu technique is completed, this jutsu leaves the target in a dazed state.

Description: Technique is generally used by females to enhance their instinctual sexual appeal, primarily to the opposite gender. Put simply, they appear "too pretty to fight."

Description: Females of the clan create the illusion of a rose embedded with their chakra. In a dreamlike setting, they offer it to their opponent, and at one sniff of its poisonous pollen, the enemy will go limp, mentally petrified.

Description: Sora's own invention. When she and her sword are covered in blood (and therefore chakra), she whips up a whirlwind by spinning her chakra very quickly around her. The result is a tornado of blood encasing her form. To make this jutsu offensive (and A-ranked), Sora enters the storm and attacks with Kumori.

Jutsu Name: Mugotarashii Sekkinsen [Brutal Close-Combat]

Description: Sora's invention. User gathers chakra in skull, thickening the bone, and then charges forward for a headbutt to crush the enemy.

All right, here goes~ Just a few small things that need to be cleared up.

Kekkai Genkai Name: You should still figure out a name for the Kekkai Genkai... Like, how the Hyuuga has the Byakugan, Uchiha the Sharingan, Rikudou the Rin'negan... etc etc. It should still have a name even if it's vague. If there's a general theme it will follow, then use something along those lines.

Main Fighting Style: chewp.

Clan Members:

Woah. Hold teh phone for a second. You're saying there's a main branch... So is there like, a secondary branch or something? If so, that needs to be included and explained how and why, most likely in the clan's history. If there's only the one branch, then you don't need to label it as the main branch. It'd just be basically... the clan. xD

Common Traits... chewp.

For the common traits, though, I DO have a suggestion... S'called albinism. It would thoroughly explain the light hair and alabaster complexion as well as the red eyes that are really red. Albinism does 'change' the eyes to a red shade, but it's not entirely the same shade as what one might think. With the excess blood in their system, it would most likely cause them to look redder, ne? Just a suggestion, however.

Clan History: A'ighteys... I don't think the blood would necessarily be considered an element. There's more than just the basic elements... there's combination elements. Two elements can only combine to form one element, and from glancing down at the jutsu, it looks like you're considering them earth / water ones..? Earth and water makes Mokuton, or Wood Element, and that's all it can make. I could list the rest of them... Lightning and Wind makes Sound [Onton, used by the Riyuu], Earth and Fire makes Youton, or Lava, Water / Wind supposedly makes the Ice element... Yeah, I'm sure you get the idea. I'd say dropping the whole element thing altogether would be your best bet. You can just consider it a unique set of jutsu that can only be used by Ketsueki members. I.e, that could be your Kekkai Genkai. The usage of blood-based techniques.

Skipping to the end of it... You say it was months ago, and that they were 'on guard'? If you're meaning that they were part of Kiri with their Kekkai Genkai, that won't work. Kiri, before that woman became Mizukage - when Madara was, I believe - Kekkai Genkai and bloodlines were hated in Kirigakure. That's exactly the reason Haku's mother died, and the reason Haku was nearly killed [but saved by Zabuza]. If so, they would've had to keep their kekkai genkai hidden... and someone would have suspected something. Now, I believe, Kiri isn't like that because of the new Mizukage, but before the timeskip if there was any indication of a bloodline, they would've been hunted down.. Hence the name Kirinogakure no Sato... or the Bloody Mist. You may want to move that event back a few years to make it concide with the plotline, and say that they simply escaped into the Hi no Kuni and have lived there since.

Techniques: Okay, skipping down to the Genjutsu... If there are more, even though Sora doesn't know them, they should still be included in the clan profile. This template's to make the Ketsueki clan universal, but if you're not wanting to make it universal yet you can just skip by with the Kekkai Genkai template and I'll list that one in my lists [that need to be updated, because I'm lame.]

Again, removing the elemental attributes. ^^; it's much simpler if you just consider it like... clan ability. Think of the Yamanaka or the Akimichi... like that. Bloodline, but not elementally-based or Doujutsu-based.

For your two Taijutsu techniques... How many strikes are there? Most Taijutsu usually say how many strikes there are...

[Ketsueki Sora]

Name: Check

Clan Members: By main branch, I meant direct descendants. They have no other specialty than enhanced strength, as the limit is stronger in them...closer to the source. I added in the history just in case though. Only other importance is their symbolic leadership of the clan.

Common Traits: Not that I don't like albinism, it's just that I think I prefer my explanation. I tried to be clearer with the eyes, though. Does it make better sense? I think their nocturnal ways remain a decent explanation for a chalky complexion, though again, I will change it if you really need me to. ^^"

History: Not to point fingers, but I was just going by what Mon told me when I first asked about elements. Perhaps I misunderstood her. No skin off my nose. >.> I changed only a couple words for them to have been more secretive, but I think that covers it. I also lengthened the time since their slaughter to a year, leaving plenty of time for the new Mizukage to have emerged. Is that good enough?

Techniques: Added some techniques. To be perfectly honest, I left it blank in hopes of not having to do more work on jutsu. Ah well. New members can add to the list if I let them, right?
