A B U R A M E S H I N O
Today had turned out rather beautiful, the sun shone brilliantly in the blue sky and fluffy clouds danced along without a care in the world. In the forest below them, trees reached high, straining for every drop of the suns rays. In some places the roots of these trees had knotted, some growing in the dirt paths which criss-crossed in many directions, to many lands. It just so happened that at this particular time, the Chuunin, Aburame Shino, was on a 'bug hunt'. He was searching for some specific insects for his collection. His living collection might I add, the boy daren't hurt any bug.
Most people would have removed their coat on a day like today, or most likely have left them at home, not Shino. He would wear his two coats rain or shine, sleet or snow, in which case it would probably have helped. That's just the way his clan was. A sighed passed his lips as a flock of birds shattered the perfect silence, scaring off a rare type of butterfly. Ah well, these things happen and Shino wouldn't let it discourage him.
A glance back at his list told him he had some time to go, seeing as he had only found two of the five creatures on his list and he'd be searching all morning. Thankfully, he'd bumped into few people along the way, that would disrupt his search further, that would be annoying. However, maybe someone would come along sooner or later and he'd deal with it.

A familiar presence to the Aburame boy was not too far away, as someone he knew very well was closer to him then he sensed. Kiba Inuzuka and his huge dog Akamaru were nearby, but did Shino know this? The day had started off like any other for the Inuzuka boy, waking up somewhat earlier than he wanted to, went and trained, and then noticed something different, or the same in some cases, but Kiba saw Shino with a piece of paper and his gear to collect bugs. "Oh geez, bug boy's going to the woods..." Kiba thought to himself.
After a little debate in his mind, Kiba thought about following along and maybe finding out why the kid loved bugs so much, but thought better of it when that conversation popped in his head. "Ok, I'm just going to follow him and bug him the whole way." Kiba muttered to himself, and quickly hopped onto Akamaru, who brought him into the forest with great swiftness. After about 20 minutes of waiting on him however, Kiba and Akamaru perched out on top of a branch and slowly drifted off into a nap, getting bored of waiting on his teammate to show up on his own expedition.
Little did Kiba know that the branch that they were sleeping on wouldn't be able hold them up for much longer, and as Shino drew near, a loud snap could clearly be heard, along with some yawning and then....SNAP!!
"GAHHHH!!!" Kiba cried out, crashing to the ground with Akamaru. Both of them landed at the Aburame boy's feet. "Ughhh...Shino..." Kiba said with a groan. "Nice to see you out here..." He said, rolling around in pain as Akamaru slowly stood up from the fall. "Can you give me a hand up already?!?" Kiba growled, looking up at Shino and grinning slightly. "I never want to wake up like that again..."

Shino cursed inwardly as he explored further, he could sense the presence of his over-confident team-mate, Inuzuka Kiba. The brunette was constantly ticking the bug-wielder off, be it scaring away insects or squashing an ant, it would appear that his goal in life was to annoy the Aburame boy. It seemed that today was no exception for the dog-breathed boy had been following his team-mate for most of the morning.
Shaking his head, he focused on the task at hand rather than his pain in the butt rival. Though in Shino's opinion it was a one-sided rivalry, it clearly wasn't to those who had to put up with the pair on a daily basis. Glancing at his list, he smiled. The next insect on his list wasn't even rare but he had always had a hard time catching it, the common cricket had always escaped his grasp, today he hoped it would be different.
He started a paced walked towards the grassed clearing nearby, knowing full well that the hopping creatures could always be found there and this time of year. As soon as he stepped into the strangely long grass a smirk was hidden by his coat, one little cricket looked particularly sleepy and despite his respect for insects, Shino grasped his chances and snatched up the dozy little guy.
Triumphant at last, he stowed the bug in a jar and started walking back into the forest, jar in hand. It just so happened that Kiba had decided to fall asleep too, on his dog back too, a dumb idea, and just to top it off, he was in a tree! Just as Shino walked past said tree, the branch collapsed, the insect lover dropped his jar and the cricket hopped off.
Looking down at the infuriating boy he glared through his glasses "Kiba, may I ask as to why you have been following me all morning? You and your dumb mutt could've killed that cricket you know?" He stated in a slightly ticked off voice. He smirked as he rolled around in pain and Akamaru stood up "Would I care to help you up? What do you think?" He answered calmly, some amusement in his voice.

Kiba rolled his eyes as it seemed that Shino wasn't about to help him to his feet. "Heh, Can I ask why you're out here then?" Kiba muttered, crossing his arms as he popped to his feet. "If you're going to ask why I followed you, maybe you should tell me why you're all the way out here catching bugs." He said lowly. "What do you do with em anyways? Watch em all day? That sounds real fun..." Kiba said sarcastically. As soon as Shino mentioned the cricket that got away, Kiba's eye twitched. "Well for your information Shino, the last time I checked, it wasn't that hard to catch a stupid bug."
Kiba knew that Shino's mind had to be screaming curses at him and wondered how long he could actually push Shino to the breaking limit. "On the other hand Shino..." Kiba said with a grin. "I thought I'd offer my services to catch these pesky little things, seeing how I've got nothing else to do and what better way to bond as teammates than to *ahem* catch bugs right?" He said with a chuckle. "I mean, seeing how you can barely move when you put six layers on everyday, its gotta make it hard to move and be recognized..." Kiba said with a laugh.
"Lets see that list..." Kiba growled, snatching away the paper and turning away from the Aburame boy. "You can't catch that dumb cricket can you? You're not fast enough bug boy, you gotta be quick to grab it." Kiba said with grin. "I'll find another and catch it for you ok? You tell me if you find one too alright?" The Inuzuka said, smirking evilly. "Are you looking or what? This is putting me to sleep..."
Kiba finally spotted another Cricket and pointed it out to Shino. "Psst, look..." He whispered. Suddenly, Kiba let out a loud sneeze and the small insect took off again, with the sound of Kiba holding back a laugh. "Whoops, that sucks...he took off again." Kiba said, on the verge of laughing loudly. He was out to mess with the boy and was surely on his way.

____________________________________________________ The brunette let out a long yawn as he wanted threw the trees. he had just woken up from a long afternoon nap. But he was still tried as he usually was. And wanted to go back for a nother one. So no one would bother him with anything. That would require some effort on his part. But lately people found him anyway so he was stuck doing missions.
Today seemed like easy day because no one had bothered him so far. So he had been doing alot of cloud watching and sleeping. Now was probably the longest time he had been awake all day. In the morning he woke up at five fourty five am. But then quickly fell back to sleep before being woken up by his mother. Who seemed to be in one of her lets yell at Shikamaru moods.
After sneaking out of the house he had fell asleep at the hot spring. He slept there for a bout two hours or so before being woken up. By a group of people that were talking rather loudly. So he found him self up again wondering the leaf village. Until he finally walked into the trees that surround the training grounds. Eventually he came upon a small clearing were he saw Shino and Kiba talking.
Shika let go another a continued on walking. Not caring if they saw him or not. If he they all so be it, if not he hide be hide a tree an take a nap. ____________________________________________________

Shino watched Kiba get to his feet and shook his head at the questions "Insects are smart, they know most people would step on them so stay out here, where few people come." He explained simply, the next thing Kiba said, the bug-wielder brushed off, he had no time for the dog-breathed Inuzuka's stupid comments, they were annoying, an emotion the Aburame didn't feel often. Hearing something about bugs being stupid he cursed his team-mate inwardly, bugs were not stupid!
It seemed that all that Kiba wanted to do was annoy Shino, then he said he wanted to help him "I am perfectly capable of catching insects on my own, it is part of the fun." The things that Kiba said next, the Aburame sighed at "Why don't you just leave Kiba?" He questioned, hoping his team-mate would indeed leave so he could concentrate on what he was doing and not on making sure no insects were stepped on.
No! No! No! Kiba was not going to help him! It seemed however that said Inuzuka had other plans as he snatched the list away from Shino, nearly tearing it in the progress. The Aburame tried to space out while Kiba spoke, only snapping out of the ignoring state when he asked him he was was going to search "Am I going to look? Yes. Also, try not to fall asleep on your mutt again." He formed a smirk under his collar and wandered to the other side of the clearing.
It was there he spotted another familiar face, Nara Shikamaru, the most lazy ninja Shino had ever met. Sighing he nodded to the other boy and carried on searching. Shortly, he spotted a cricket and was just about to catch it when Kiba came over, pointing it out. Shino nodded and was getting his jar ready when Kiba sneezed and the insect got away. The insect lover noticed him holding back the laugh and felt seriously ticked off.

Kiba could see the anger radiating off of his teammates aura and simply could do nothing else but laugh slightly as he thought about what must be going through the Aburame's mind at this point. "Aww chill out Shino, we're in the woods for pete's sake, there's going to be more bugs." He said with a laugh, not knowing that the small creature hopped up onto his head. The cricket stared at Shino, almost mockingly as it took refuge from the glass bottle on Kiba's head. "I'm not leaving because I don't feel like sitting on my butt all day, Ino is busy all day and I'm not going to walk around pointlessly around the village, so I figure I'd help a teammate out." He said with a smirk.
For your Information Shino, I fall asleep on Akamaru's back a lot, but we've never fallen out of a tree until today so shut it!" Kiba muttered, still unaware of the insect on his head. "Boy you are dull you know that?!? I'm trying to ask you what half of these bugs look like and all you do is ignore me Shino!! Come on now, do you want these things or not?!?" Kiba growled, looking over the list again. "Here take the list..." He muttered, handing back the paper.
After venting his frustration back at Shino, Kiba rolled his eyes and sighed, wondering himself why this wasn't as fun as he thought it could be and shook his head. That was when he saw another person he could really "bug" for a bit. (A pun, couldn't resist...)
"Hey Shikamaru!! What are you doing out here man?!?" Kiba said loudly, not caring if Shino was in the process of finding another bug. At the same time however, Kiba felt something move on the top of his head. "AHHH!! Shino!! Its that pesky cricket!! Get it quick!!" He cried, cupping his hands over it carefully as he ran around wildly.

A B U R A M E S H I N O
Shino was seriously contemplating hitting his team-mate right about now, all he did was insult the insect lover. Admittedly he hadn't really done anything to deserve Kiba's respect or friendship and vis versa but they should've been able to get along, and they did on missions. Yet when they weren't, all Kiba did was to aggravate Shino. His dislike of his team-mate was only growing as the day went one. Hearing Kiba speak again was about to make him even more stressed, but it had the opposite affect. He had a point, there were always other bugs to be caught, he didn't however have to let Kiba now his opinion on what he'd just said.
Eyes widened as Shino saw the cricket on Kiba's head, looking at him mockingly but he just smirked under his collar and said nothing, if dog boy was gonna mess with him, why not? Kiba informed Shino he had no intention of leaving and the Aburame sighed "Why don't you go help Ino?" He asked hopefully, very much hoping the Inuzuka would up and leave, the next thing Kiba did was have a full out rant, resulting in a rare thing, Shino wanted so badly to laugh as he took the list back.
Whilst he continued searching for a cricket, Shino finally managed to catch one and put it in the jar, placing said jar in his bag. Just in time too because it was at this moment that Kiba decided to make a lot of noise. He noticed his team-mates dilemma and spoke calmly, holding back a chuckle "Sorry, Kiba. I already caught a cricket." It was at this point he noticed Shikamaru sneak off and followed him "Why are you out here anyway?" He questioned the Nara, having nothing better to do.

Kiba couldn't believe how touchy Shino always was about his precious, dumb little bugs. It was like the kid had no respect for his teammates and it made the Inuzuka boy sick to his stomach sometimes. Everything seemed fine on missions. they rarely bickered and often got along well enough to take down a common target, but outside of them, the Aburame boy just seemed so irritable. An idea went through his head, and Kiba smirked, he wanted to see how Shino would react if he actually tried to get along with the often silent kid. "Oooh, this will really mess with him." Kiba thought to himself.
So as Kiba lightly took the cricket that was perched in his hair and placed it back in the weeds, Kiba grinned and lightly laughed. "No, no...Shino, seriously you've got me wrong, I wanna help, I'm bored...and if I went to the flower shop and bugged her while she was working, I'd end up looking like I came out of a bar fight Shino." Kiba pointed out. Of course he was sure this was untrue, but he'd get yelled at and picked on, and made to wear a flower in his hair again, which was something he didn't want to be seen with all the time. "Besides Bug Boy, We've gotta stick together, these bugs won't catch themselves." Kiba said with a grin, smacking Shino on the shoulder.
"Shino!! Come on man!! What else is on the list? I'm ready to catch the rest of them..." Kiba cried out, seeing now that Shino was socializing with Shikamaru, who Kiba saw as a decent guy, but never found much interest in sleeping all day. "C'mon!! Let the kid sleep, he didn't "bug" you Shino!!" Kiba cried out, smirking slightly.

A B U R A M E S H I N O
The Aburame boy would've loved to get rid of Kiba and carry on with his searching, then go home and train. But as it was that wasn't going to happen any time soon. Someone watching may think that Shino didn't care about his team-mates, he did, but chose not to show it that often. Speaking of which, Shino had been meaning to talk to Hinata, the female member of his team, for some time now "I must remember to do that soon." Shino mumbled under his breath, too deep in thought to notice the Inuzuka's smirk as it curved onto his lips.
Shino noticed Kiba removing the cricket from his brunette hair, he also noticed how careful he was with the bug and smirked under his hood. Perhaps the hyper brunette had more consideration for bugs that showed at first glance? His eyes glanced to the ground as the cricket hopped away happily, chirping once more. Once it was out of sight, he looked back to Kiba. The annoying laugh of said boy filled his ears and he listened as dog-boy spoke "Exactly why you should go, it would be an improvement." Shino's tone was as calm as ever, all previous anger gone without a trace. Something very strange happened next, Kiba started acting friendly. Sigh passed the insect-wielders lips and he shook his head Why me? Why did I get stuck with this idiot?! He wondered as he walked over to Shikamaru.
Through practice, the first half of Kiba's rant was blocked out. Having been on the same team as the other boy for around two years now, Shino had gotten used to this side of the Inuzuka and simply brushed it off. The next thing, however, that came out of the brunettes big mouth irked the Aburame. Turning round, he glared daggers at the annoying person.
