Congratulations! You have been placed on a team with two other members from various villages. Using the teamwork you can muster in a short amount of time with your comrades, you are to find a number of items hidden in this forest outside of Konohagakure no Sato. Recognize it? Yes, that's correct; this is the Forest of Death from the Chuunin exams! You've already been through this forest once, in cells of three, but this time it is no different; there are other teams gunning for the items, and you may fight to the death to get to them! Your team has been given a single points card that has been attuned to each of the members of your team. It will show your points when chakra from one of the members is charged through it. When you find an item, there will be a slot for the card to fit; place the card in there and you will get the respective amount of points that the item is worth. You are required to gain a total of one hundred points in order to continue to the next stage. Beware, however; you may never know what you could find in there...
You have a total of seven days to complete your task. Good luck, and farewell.
YOU ARE GIVEN:
[1] Points Card
[1] Gridded Map
[3] Provisions Packs [1 per person, enough food for one day in each pack].
Death in this Exams will not be as... 'real' as one might think. Canon characters will not die, as they need to be kicking as the storyline progresses. Original characters, however, if you wish, may die in one scene. Canon and Original characters alike can be severely injured by the NPCs and various things in the forest. However, if one of your team members is knocked out, therefore out of the Exams, the rest of the team may still continue. Shinobi will be hidden in the forest to both take care of the injured and hinder the teams from finding their items.
The staff will be acting [in each of the respective threads of each team] as a narrator for everything that happens. As well, you will be working respectively with each staff member using a method we can dub the 'board method'.
Each team has been given a gridded map that they will follow through the first test. What your job will be to do is to 'find the items', and finding said items will tie directly into your in-character work. Each staff member has made a 'board' of their own, and there is a 'main' board. Think of it as playing Battleship, where you guess where everything is.
Each board is 10 squares by 10 squares, meaning 100 squares in total, and there are a total of 30 'items' hidden. In order to get these items, you will either have to answer a question, name a quote, figure out the picture... Something like that. Each item has been given a rating from 1 to 10, and that is the number of 'points' that guessing the item is worth.
Each team will be allowed to guess three squares [NPCs and Jounins do not guess OOC, but IC they will choose their square]. That means there will be 3 guesses per round, and teams that have a Jounin AND/OR an NPC on their team will have to guess between them [so, teams with two PCs will have to pick their own square and both decide on one square] or something of that manner. You are able to guess from any of the four boards and on any square that has not been already guessed on that board.
Each staff's board has a total of 30 items hidden. You will be required to gain 100 points total in order to pass to the next stage. Once your points have been fully collected, you must find the exit that is somewhere in the forest. Depending on how well you have done, the staff will decide [as the narrator] whether you will advance or not.
SLOW POSTING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. I'm going to put this out there right now. You will have 48 hours to post after the last post before your character is either damaged from an oncoming NPC attack or disqualified completely. If you go inactive, your character will immediately be disqualified from the Exams.
If you do not wish for your character to advance on after this stage, please LET US KNOW. We will then 'disqualify' your character after that stage. Good luck, and HAVE FUN!
