Kogitsune
Type: Original
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Homosexual
Status: Single
Interest: Araiyajuu Kumataka
Face Claim: Kuran Kaname of Vampire Knight
Appearance:
With toussled chocolate hair and a lean, yet muscular build, Kogitsune is a man with sharp, striking features that make him stand out in a large crowd. His dark almond eyes are brimming with kindness and understanding, and his slim figure accents his personality, making him seem no more of a threat than he appears.
His sleeveless, short black undershirt clings to his chest and stops just below the Xiphoid process (where the ribcage begins to fan out), and matching brown bracers are worn on his forearms and extend from his wrist to two inches from his elbow. A cuff made of the same leather material is wrapped around his upper left arm, and leg bracers similar to the ones on his arms are worn on the lower legs.
Kogitsune wears the standard Hoshigakure vest - a dull grey-colored sleeveless vest that wraps around the chest and snaps at the right shoulder, then clips at the waist where the bottom of the vest folds upwards. The two scroll pouches on the vest are on the lower edge of the left side. His hitaiate is worn wrapped around his neck, though it does not have any stray intentional markings to signify that he has left his village; in fact, he is still loyal to the tiny, hostile area.
His leggings are also standard in Hoshigakure - light grey pants made of a sturdy canvas material that extend just below his ankles. White bandages are wrapped around his right thigh, and on top is fastened his shuriken holster for easy access.
Personality:
.Tender;
Kogitsune is a kind, gentle soul that would give up anything for anybody, whether it be a friend, random person on the street, or enemy. His generosity may get him into trouble at times, but he doesn't mind as long as he is able to make at least one person happy. For every pleased person in the world, he thinks, his own body heals just a little faster.
.Rational;
When faced with a challenge, Kogitsune never stresses or pulls his hair out; instead, he thinks logically with whatever information is given to him, and with his intelligence gained from his studying in Hoshigakure no Sato, is able to come up with an answer relatively quickly. This attribute makes him popular as a guidance counselor for whomever asks his advice or opinion on a subject that he is familiar with.
.Formal;
Around others, Kogitsune always uses honorifics and calls the person by his or her clan name, if it is given. Anyone of any age automatically recieves "-san" tacked onto their name, but if he is familiar with the person and he or she has nickname, like Lady Tsunade, he will happily call her "Tsunade-hime."
.Soft-Spoken;
When speaking, Kogitsune's tone is deep and soft, mimicking a warm summer night under the stars. This tone is quite useful in long conversations or when telling stories, because it is not monotonous, though it may be gentle enough at times to lull a person into a trace or to sleep.
History:
Kogitsune was born in Hoshigakure during the reign of the Third Hoshigakure, so as he grew up, he was brought daily to the shrine where the sacred star was kept. Every day, his parents took turns watching after the quiet baby, making sure the other was able to meditate undisturbed within the shrine until Kogitsune himself was old enough to meditate.
Because Kogitsune was exposed to the radiation of the meteorite at such an early age, he became physically ill within a year from his body's underdeveloped immune system. At only two years old, Kogitsune developed a harsh cough that sent him tumbling to the ground while blood spurted from his weakened organs. While he carried the illness, he was enrolled in the Academy where he was forced to remain in the temple to meditate nearly every day, which didn't help his body to heal any faster.
At one point, Kogitsune became so ill that he collapsed in the Academy while performing the Henge no Justu for a class project, and he was rushed to the hospital. After medic shinobi healed him as much as possible, they contacted the Hoshigakure, who further examined his body. Once the group finalized that the cause of his condition was due to prolonged exposure to the radiation of the star, the meditation was banned from the village.
With the restriction of the star training, the shinobi of the village became increasingly healthier, including Kogitsune, though he still carried the cough and hacked up blood every once in a while. Without the star, he and his classmates were able to hone their skills in the more commonly-accepted arts that were almost nessecery to become a shinobi; however, once the Third was assassinated and Akahoshi became the substitute Hoshigakure in his place until the village was able to name a new leader, the training with the star continued. The greedy shinobi eagerly returned to their beloved star, though Kogitsune, knowing that the star was the cause of his illness, tended to stay away from it unless the training was a class grade or he needed the extra boost of chakra for his own personal training.
Because of the star's radiation, Kogitsune easily passed the genin exams and was placed in a three-man squad that was assigned a chuunin leader. Learning and trainig with these three other shinobi gave Kogitsune a happier outlook on life than he had been given while a child, and soon, he developed a crush on one of his comrades at the tender age of twelve, but instead of falling for his female friend that had become his best friend, his infatuation was with the other - a young boy named Hakuhoshi. The two secretly rendevouzed together, and once they both reached thirteen and the three-man squad was given confirmation to take the chuunin Exam in Konohagakure no Sato, one of their allied villages, Hakuhoshi fell terminally ill from the intense radiation from the star training.
The three passed the exam with flying colors, but during the third part, Hakuhoshi and Kogitsune were pitted against one another. Unable to bear the pain of fighting his lover, Hakuhoshi fled from the village and was found in the forest the next day without a pulse. While some of the exam proctors told Kogitsune that he was lucky for having to fight one less battle in the tournament, he was heartbroken from his friend and first love's death, and once his battle was halfway completed when he was finally forced into it, he withdrew to mourn.
Once the now two-man cell returned to Hoshigakure, they recieved a notice that both Kogitsune and his teammate had been accepted as chuunin. From there, Kogitsune pushed himself to become stronger for both his well-being and his former lover.
Chakra Element: Earth
Rank: Chuunin
Weapons: Shuriken, kunai, caltrops, paper bombs, healing ointment, medication for his weakened organs (though that isn't really a weapon), metal wire, blank scrolls, and first-aid sh*t. Yeah. He's a badass weapon carrier. <<
Known Jutsu:
~Mysterious Peacock Method [Kujaku Myôhô] :: A base technique for Hoshigakure shinobi that may be manipulated into the other Mysterious Peacock Method jutsu. This technique utilizes the power derived from the star of Hoshigakure gathered by the user through training to give the user an enormous amount of chakra that pours out in a transluscent purple aura behind the user, giving them the appearance of a violet-tailed peacock.
~Mysterious Peacock Method: Beast [Kajuku Myôhô: Kemono] :: A technique used after the completion of the Mysterious Peacock Method technique required beforehand, the "Beast" branch of this jutsu allows the user to transform the "feathers" of the peacock tail into a medium-sized beast - in Kogitsune's case, a fox. This animal is solid, yet transluscent, and able to repel shuriken and other weapons.
~Mysterious Peacock Method: Destroy [Kujaku Myōhō: Zan] :: Used after the completion of the Mysterious Peacock Method, the "Destroy" branch allows the user to attack his foes with the "feathers" of the peacock tail.
~Mysterious Peacock Method: Join [Kujaku Myōhō: Gō] :: After both the base jutsu and "Beast" branch have been used, this jutsu allows for two or more beasts to be joined into one larger beast.
~Mysterious Peacock Method: Wings [Kujaku Myōhō: Yoku] :: After the base jutsu has been completed, the user of this technique may form wing-like appendages by using the chakra "feathers" that can carry an average-sized human for a short span of time in flight.
~Chakra Rope [Chakra no Nawa] :: An unbreakable, versatile rope made from the user's chakra.
~Chakra Predation [Chakra no Hoshoku] :: This jutsu allows the user to extend chakra from his own body and sap the chakra of his allies, strengthening himself, but weakening the sapped.
~Earth Release: Antlion Technique [Doton: Arijigoku no Jutsu] :: A jutsu that turns the earth into sand and sucks the enemies into the center, where a pit is formed. Depending on the depth, the enemies could be trapped and/or suffocated.
~Earth Release: Earth Corridor [Doton: Tsuchi Kairō] :: This technique causes the earth to rise from the ground and cover the oppenent, trapping the foe in a barrier.
~Earth Release: Earth Shore Return [Doton: Doroku Gaeshi] :: A large wall of earth is raised from the ground to create a barrier, though it only protects the front side of the user.
~Earth Release: Hidden Among Rocks Technique [Doton: Iwagakure no Jutsu] :: As the name suggests, this technique was more than likely created in Iwagakure no Sato. Using this jutsu, the user may move through stone, making it easy to avoid earth-style techniques.
~Earth Release: Rock Staff [Doton: Gansetsukon] :: This technique allows the user to draw out a staff made of stone from the ground, then either use it as a weapon or throw it with pinpoint accuracy. Using a variation of this jutsu, the user may acquire multiple rock staffs and throw them with less accuracy.
~Wall Climb
~Water Walking
~Earth Release: Earth Clone Jutsu
Theme Songs(s): Optional, but they're fun to do. Max 7 songs.

How'd you find me?! Red Clouds
Sample RP:
**From "Eclipse" 'cause I'm a lazy motherf*cker.
Darkness had overtaken the skies long ago, and the light of dawn was not too far away. It was sad knowing that something so powerful could be outdone by something so f*cking annoying as the sun. As far as I was concerned, the sun was nothing more than a nuisance that liked to whip at my eyelids in the morning like that bastard Kakuzu thrashed at my holy religion with his insults. And, just as expected, as the first rays of morning gnawed at my conscience, I felt that dreaded feeling in the pit of my stomach.
I had to get up.
Well, technically, I didn't have to, seeing as how the cocksucker had taken off on his own to do some bounty hunting while I searched for the nibi. It had been my suggestion, and I was relieved when he had agreed to do the sidejobs instead of nagging in my ear about how "worthless" Jashin is and bragging that money could solve all of the world's problems. But, it a way, it felt a little lonely without him around. It was too f*cking quiet.
I rolled onto my back, tossing the inn sheet to the opposite side of the room, and felt an enormous yawn rise up from my chest. After it found its way out, I rubbed my weary eyes with the back of my hand and blinked, cursing the light that strayed into my room. At least the fog outside dimmed it to a dull grey... but that wasn't the point. I wasn't ready to go look for the goddamn biju yet. I just wanted to sleep, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't force my eyes to stay shut long enough for the drowsiness to pull itself over me a second time.
I grumbled while sitting up and rubbing the grains of dried sleep from my eyes and walked into the tiny bathroom to wash yesterday's filth and gore from my body. Like always when I removed my cloak and accessories, the wounds from the ceremony had healed themselves with incredible speed, so I wasn't surprised. As the droplets pounded at my skin and my fingers swept through my silver hair, I couldn't help but to think what my bastard of a partner was up to by himself. Probably gathering more money for the damned leader, since they were both money-grubbing asswipes. Tossing the thoughts aside, I began washing myself and soon turned off the water to towel-dry my soaked body. After I was rid of the moisture, I carefully wiped off the circle of Jashin and closed my eyes to tenderly kiss the metal. My God, my Savior. Jashin.
I silently recited the scriptures in my head, then pecked it again before allowing it to drop so that I could dress in the same filthy clothes I had been wearing for the past three weeks. Hell, at least my body was clean.
I didn't care to wear that sh*tty straw hat that the other Akatsuki members pranced around in, so when I approached the counter to pay for the night's stay, the innkeep seemed taken aback. "Five hundred ryou, right?" I mumbled, tossing half of my cash to the man before striding out the door. Bastard only got two hundred. At least he wasn't smart enough to count it before I was gone.
