Komonjo Buryunstaddo
Type: Original
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Status: Single
Interest: None
Face Claim: Night of Wallachia
Appearance:
Komonjo is a tall man, standing roughly six feet high and weighing in at about one hundred and fifty pounds. His body is slim and athletic but still obviously well muscled. His hair is a light shade of golden blonde and he keeps it moderately long, going down to the base of his neck in the back. His hair also spikes at the ends and he has a v shaped part in the middle at the front of his head. His eyes are normally a vibrant shade of jade green. Also of note, his skin is slightly pale.
As for his clothing, his attire consist of a dark purple, long sleeved garb with an ornate gold box design in the center complimented by two gold lines, one running down either side of the center. On either side of each box is a piece of thick gold string connected to a gold button, all of which are precisely aligned. The sleeves end in frilly white cuffs and the garment splits at the waist in the front, going down in two sections for greater leg mobility and stopping just below the knee. In addition the garment has a high white collar with a frilled piece in the front below his neck.
On the lower half of his body he wears a pair of dark purple pants as well as dark purple shoes with white soles. When travelling or otherwise not in need of his more casual attire he also wears a dark purple flowing cloak with large shoulder pads and crimson trim. On either side of the breast bone the cloak also has a white disk with a gold chain attached to it that runs across his breastbone.
Personality:
Komonjo is a very peculiar person in terms of personality. Normally he's a calm and collected person who can stay coolheaded in almost any situation. He's quite easy to get along with and talk to and he's actually a friendly person despite being a wanderer. He's normally in a chipper but not overly cheerful mood and he's extremely hard to anger, however people who can't appreciate simple things or the arts tend to annoy him a bit more than others. He seems to be easily amused by the most random things and he has a healthy, if not slightly peculiar sense of humor.
One thing that always puts him in an especially good mood is having interesting conversations with people, whatever the subject may be. A cup of tea or a game of chess will only make it better. He enjoys them so much because such conversations allow him to escape boredom, the single factor that will make his mood drop more than anything else. Because of this he's almost constantly finding something to keep him occupied so he doesn't get bored, which is probably why he's read most of the books in his personal library at least twice now.
He loves his friends deeply, the ones he actually makes that is. Truth be told he doesn't really have much social time to make friends with his busy schedule, and the almost constant travel means that he'd be off to his next destination when he finally did get some free time. As for romance he has no experience whatsoever in said field, he's only read a lot of romantic plays. As such his love life as of now is rather...non-existant.
He's also got a habit of being dramatic at random times just for the sake of being dramatic, something probably stemming from his love of theater. Because of this interest he also tends to speak of life like a play on occasion and he can sometimes even be philosophical in his words. He doesn't become frightened easily and in fact there's not much that he's really afraid of because he can just view things as actors or props in a play.
He enjoys his jutsu research and has a tendency to spend hours at a time just sitting and reading scrolls and books in his study. In his spare time he also enjoys going to the theater or reading plays though he doesn't actually have a favorite genre. This love of theatrics is most likely why he dresses so extravagently. He also likes to play chess and has become quite skilled at it over the years.
He tends to enjoy travelling as well, a good thing since his research causes him to travel quite frequently. If he particularly likes a spot or finds a large amount of information to gather however it isn't uncommon for him to stay in one place for a few weeks or even months. He especially enjoys places with large libraries and book shops which is were you'll probably find him most frequently.
In combat he remains coolheaded as always, not wasting any movements that don't need to be wasted. He enjoys treating battles like chess and believes that setting the proper front with one's pieces is important before one can attain victory. He also has a tendency to use an extremely complicated style of thinking known as flipping the chessboard, not much about which is known.
As for his opinion on which side should be taken in the war of good and evil, he prefers to keep only to his own side, aiding whatever side he sees as the best to aid. He also believes that light and dark are not inherently good or evil and that they are simply made one or the other by those using them and so he refuses to use either term as descriptors of the two sides.
His greatest, if not only allegiance, is to the Crimson Moon, though what or who this exactly is is unknown. If one were to guess however, it would probably be safe to assume that this has something to do with the Buryunstaddo family.
History:
Twenty five years ago in Iwagakure no Sato, a boy was born to a pair of simple middle class shinobi, the Shobou family. They weren't an immensely rich home but they were none the less far from being poor or in poverty. The Shobou family had no other children and they named the boy, their only child, Komonjo.
The Shobou family raised Komonjo in the best conditions they possibly could using their social class and the money they had to make sure he got everything he needed to become a fine shinobi one day. As such, Komonjo grew up comfortably and eventually his parents sent him off to the ninja academy to begin his education.
He passed all of his classes with flying colors, but even so the others at school didn't pay much mind to him. That was because of the fact that Komonjo, despite being friendly enough, didn't care for all the playing and things that the other children at the academy did in their free time, instead he preferred to read and the children looked on him as peculiar for that very fact.
His parents didn't really take notice of his lack of friends, perhaps a bit blinded by his excellent grades, and as such they didn't much notice their son's habits of studying books in his free time diligently and constantly. They never really spent much time with their son either as their duties as shinobi had them busy almost constantly. Thus, Komonjo grew up without much regard or care at all for his parents, whom he only saw as distant figures who never really took an interest in him.
Passing the genin exam without a single hitch, Komonjo graduated the academy rapidly and was assigned a squad for the next step of his ninja training. He got along well with the members of his squad and his intelligence, which was far above average for a shinobi of his age and rank, aided them all greatly.
In the chunin exam things went just as smoothly with the team passing the quickest and most efficiently of any team present. Now a chunin, Komonjo began to pursue finding a way to combine his interest in gaining knowledge with his ninja training while simultaneously continuing with his missions and keeping in contact with his former squad members.
About three months after his promotion to chunin, Komonjo's parents were both killed when they became surrounded made a last ditch effort in their latest mission, causing the building they'd infiltrated to collapse, killing them as well as their targets in a virtual suicide maneuver. Komonjo however wasn't too upset with the whole situation as his parents had never really spent much time with him or shown him much love anyway. As such he was able to get over it quickly.
After this incident Komonjo learned about the field of jutsu research, something that fit his personality and background astoundingly well. As he looked into it more and began to actively begin researching he also began honing his skills for the jounin examination, his next obstacle in climbing the ranking ladder of Iwagakure.
His old team mates joined him in this endeavor and they decided that they'd all take part in the jounin exam together. Even as this was going on however his relationship with the rest of the village was becoming rather distant as his focus had shifted so much to his training and he had no reason to associate with anyone aside from his old team.
When the day of the exam finally came a difficult and truly challenging test was given to the shinobi participating. The rigorous examination had a high number of failures, including both of Komonjo's teammates. Komonjo however was one of the few shinobi who actually passed the examination and attained the rank of jounin.
With his new rank now affirmed at the age of nineteen, Komonjo continued his jutsu research for about a year before coming to the decision that staying in Iwagakure would be far less productive in terms of research than leaving. As such he departed from the village and became a wandering missing-nin, though he wasn't labeled as a criminal.
That was the point when his wanderings began and his research began to meet with great success. Two years ago in fact, Komonjo perfected an extremely difficult summoning jutsu that had been lost for some few hundred years. He considers this his greatest achievement to date. In addition, since around the same time he perfected this summoning jutsu he has left behind the name Shobou and has adopted the name Buryunstaddo as his true last name for unknown reasons. His personality also began to expand more after he left Iwa which has lead to the complexity it has in the present.
He is currently wandering the world in search of new information to aid his research. His progress as a shinobi since the time of his departure is highly unknown which causes speculation to arise about his strength and just how far his research has come.

Description: At first glance the blade which Komon calls the Crimson Moon is a simple, black steel cane topped with a black, leather wrapped handle atop which sits an oddly large crimson hued steel relief of the crescent moon. In actuality however, this cane is a scabbard for the sword within.
When brandished, the rapier is completely black save for a fine detailing of crimson around the edge and a crimson crescent moon branded on either side at the blade's center.
The rapier is locked into the cane via a fuuinjutsu that Komonjo developed which requires the maker of the seal to channel an unnoticably small amount of chakra into the seal in order to draw the blade. Komonjo has also been known to use the cane itself as a weapon without drawing the blade.

SUMMONING JUTSU
Jutsu Name: Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Sennen Toshokan no Tsuki [Summoning Jutsu: Thousand Year Library of the Moon]
Rank: A-rank
Element: Non-Elemental
Type: Supplementary
Character: Komonjo Buryunstaddo
Description:
A very unusual summoning jutsu that Komon learned how to preform after several years of research. This jutsu summons absolutely nothing but an indestructable seven foot high and three foot wide black door with crimson red trim and a crimson doorknob. However, when opened this door allows one to enter a structure of enormous size that serves as a personal library to Komon.
Inside, the library measures one square mile in total area and is lit by floating chandeliers of fine crystal. The bookcases are lined up across nearly the entire span of the floor and each one of them is at least three stories high. The walls are made of immensely thick and ancient looking stone and the windows carved into the upper portions of the walls let in constant streams of moonlight.
In the center of the library's floor lies a sort of town square with a large open space between the book cases, the four corners of which are filled by large marble pedestals upon the top of which rest marble carvings of the crescent moon, all of which face the enormous spiral staircase in the center of the area which is expertly crafted from polished white marble.
Following the staircase up, one would eventually come to a landing. Here one can exit the path of the staircase and venture out onto a large wooden platform measuring roughly three hundred square feet in area. This part of the library is considered to be Komon's personal study, a fact that is evidenced by the large amount of furniture, smaller bookcases, ornate rugs, and even an extravagently made chess table.
The shelves here also hold a set of large books that look like encyclopedias which contain the categorization and location of every book and scroll in the entire library. Whenever a book or scroll is added to the library it is automatically recorded in said grimoires and the books also keep a constantly updated location of every book in the library. Books and scrolls within this library are unable to be destroyed by any means, making it a very useful place for storing tomes and the like.
If one continues up the marble staircase from the study they will get closer and closer to the ceiling until at last another door comes into view, much like the one that allows entry into the main part of the library itself. It has the same dimensions of being seven feet high and three feet wide and the same color scheme of black with crimson red trim. The difference however, is the fact that instead of being upright this door is flush with the ceiling.
Past this door lies the roof of the library, as well as a glimpse of the world that it resides in. The roof itself is covered in a strange form of indestructible, transparent grass that reflects the moonlight with an eerie blueish white glow. Even the door is covered with this grass on top of the roof and equipped with a crescent shaped handle which fits flush into the top of the door instead of a doorknob to prevent any discrepencies in the design.
The four corners of the roof contain, much like the library square at the base of the staircase, four pedestals, though far more enormous ones, each of which have the carving of a crescent moon on top of them. They are all made of white marble instead of black like the ones below, and they all face the center of the roof. In addition the moonlight forms a dazzling sphere of light in the center of each crescent.
Directly above the library, high in the sky rests the moon. The sky has a few scattered clouds normally and occasionally a thunderstorm will break out, but nonetheless the sky is always in a state of constant midnight, even as the moon goes through it's phases each night. In this world the moon only has four phases, the waxing crescent, the full moon, the waning crescent, and once more the full moon, though Komon has hinted that occasionally a unique fifth phase will occur.
The area below and surrounding the library is a massive and endless steel blue sea that extends as far as the eye can see in any direction. On each cardinal side of the library the sea continually reflects the moon like a polished mirror. A normally invisible dome-like barrier of energy prevents one from falling off of the roof as well as preventing rain from reaching it and similar barriers of energy cover the outside of the library's windows as well.
This barrier only becomes visible when something touches it and is usually the same shade as moonlight in color, but that has been known to change during the fifth phase according to Komon. This mile long field continually beneath the moonlight creates what one might call an almost perfect battlefield of level and symmetrical ground and finishes our tour of the Thousand Year Library of the Moon.

"Rain...a thunder shower in fact. How interesting...or not. It all depend on how you look at it." With a chuckle the peculiar man closed his eyes and tilted his head skyward, the balm of the steady wind caressing his skin as the long, spiky locks of his golden hair swayed like pendulums suspended over the ever turning Earth. He had his arms crossed and he was relaxed to a point that would make even a narcoleptic jealous. To tell you the truth he didn't even look like he was still awake, it was more like he'd fallen asleep there on his feet.
That content smile was still there, unchanging and unmoving even as the wind began to increase and the first drop of rain fell to his face. The next drop came quicker, and the next, and the next. Soon the storm had already begun and his skin and clothes were beginning to get saturated by the falling water. "It's warm...how exceptional." Commenting on the temperature of the precipitation the man finally opened his eyes...well, eye. His left eye was covered entirely by a large a black eye patch which fastened sturdily to his head.
His dark crimson eye gazed up into the dark heavens even as droplets fell onto his person ceaselessly. He just didn't care about such petty things as getting wet in the rain. His right hand slowly moved to his breastbone, his fingers curling around the mysterious cross shaped pendant that hung there, supported by a pure and unscathed golden chain and set in a medallion of gold itself.
His digits danced across it's surface as if he were feeling out the glyphs of some ancient tablet of marble. He did that for the longest time before his gaze finally broke from the sky and relocated to the small plateau where he'd come for a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of Kumogakure. His hand delicately left the pendant back on his breast bone as his arms fell to his sides and he slowly made his way over to a rather large boulder in the center of the plateau.
He turned and sat upon it's flat surface without even the slightest trace of a sound distinguishable from the falling wind or the haunting yet beautiful howl of the crisp and refreshing wind. "It's been two years now...nine in total...quite a journey it's been I must say..." With a pause in his voice his eye half closed before a reminiscent smirk crossed his lips. "But I've never had such a spectacular time in all of my life."
Once more turning his head skyward, he watched as the countless droplets of water fell from the shadowy clouds now blanketing the sky. "It was worth every second, every pain, everything it cost me. I have no regrets and I'd do it all again...that's the best way you can feel about the past, isn't it? Kihihi...I suppose that my hardships and toils have actually given me something that most people never get to taste then, isn't that right?"
Closing his eye for a few seconds his smile broadened as he took a deep breath of the crisp wind which was blowing around his form like a chilling and ethereal wave. "Oh, evanescent night, you'll be gone far too soon. Because of that very fact, both life and this night, like all fleeting things, are also things that we must make the fullest of." That being said his hands moved together and flowed with a silent harmony as strange hand seals were executed with a precision rivaling that of the finest watches.
As he finally executed the last seal he brought his hands apart and his right palm was suddenly set ablaze by a golden aura before he brought it down with some force against the surface of the boulder upon which he sat. A large kanji character of the same golden glow was painted across the rock's surface and around the boulder an alchemic circle of such a complex nature that it would boggle the mind of even some of the most intelligent scholars was formed.
Without any further ado a transparent golden field lit up and covered the plateau like a stage curtain being dropped and the entire world began to change as if a rift in the dimensions had been torn open. Everything began to turn into gold, solid and shimmering gold that would make the eyes of a normal person light up with greed. However, the crimson eye of that single figure didn't view any of it that way, and as if to accentuate that point he was the only thing in that place unchanged by the golden veil that had fallen.
"Within this golden land I find a short and fleeting peace. I should enjoy it while I can..." The drops of rain fell down as ever, though within this place even they were changed to drops of liquid gold. It was a marvelous show, one that one inspire awe and a sense of wonder in even the most hardened shinobi. The man laid back slowly and nonchalantly as he rested himself atop that boulder sized golden ingot where the center of his seal was still placed. His eye closed once more as he began to dose off.
"Let the opera of the rain continue for as long as it wishes...and as for myself...what better place to slumber in this night than a golden refuge crafted by own hand?" With those final words he let himself slowly sink into the sound of the tears shed by the sky and made golden by the results of his many years of research, drifting off to a peaceful slumber as a content look marked his face so plainly that one might not be able to tell whether or not he was awake or asleep, whether in dreams or in deepest slumber. Would he have minded either way? No...most probably not. Such is the way of the Golden Alchemist, Kagone Satsuriku.
