The earliest memories Cross Yuuki could remember, was a winter’s night where she was saved by Kuran Kaname from a Level E. Now, ten years later Yuuki was grown up to become a Guardian at Cross Academy, alongside Kiryuu Zero who has much hatred for vampires, they protect Cross Academy, with its classes, Day Class, human teenagers who go to class in the day, and Night class, a class full of vampires who go to class at night, after sunset. So far it has been peaceful, the vampires and humans been working together peacefully so far. Not long ago, Kiryuu Zero fall fully into his Level D state, and is now slipping slowly into the Level E state, and there had been to way to save him.

Hiou Shizuka was alive, and went to Cross Academy using Maria’s body and brought Zero's younger brother Ichiru along with her, and soon the two had battled each other, and Kaname and Shizuka where trying to kill each other. As Shizuka dies, and gives Kaname a warn, Ichiru takes the last of her blood before fleeing from the academy, leaving Zero with the blame of the pureblood's death.

Now, a darker monster is rising, the person who destroyed most of the purebloods, and basically claiming to be 'kind', and with Ichiru now returning, what does he want? Yuuki searchs for her memory, and not giving up, as she refuses to move on in her life until she knew what happened ten years ago, and with Zero failling lower down to an E, the academy is slowly going into choas, without Day Class students, and even some of the teachers, knowing it.
